Yesterday, I attempted to renew my passport, when I arrived at 2, there were approximately 15 people ahead of me and I waited for 2 hrs and walked away with nothing achieved at 4:20, because if you are not in front of the clerk at that time ( 4:20 ), bye, bye, come back another day, it doesnt matter how long you have waited. There were 3 people ahead of me, at least 15 people behind me, several with children in hand ( not in my count but they surely do matter !). There seems to be only one person handling this volume of people, yes this is a "walk in office", but there also were 3 postal employees who were not busy during this window of time, who might have been able to assist, if that were allowed . If one wishes to get an appointment time at another location, those are three weeks out with and additional 3-6 weeks to receive your physical passport, Also, one may only pay with debit, cash or blank check....no credit cards allowed, so BE AWARE of this. Something needs to be done about this situation, the passport office needs to have 2 people at least at a time during peak season or to be able to pull someone from postal folks to assist. If you are going, take a book or some form of entertainment, water, a snack, etc. I met some really interesting and nice folks while waiting in line in vain ! I will return next week to wait some more !

Went by the Washington Street post office yesterday 06/29 to obtain a new Passport for my wife. Arrived around 3:50 pm. When inside, we were told that the Passport window would close at 4:30 and that if we were not standing at the counter with the "one" person working in the passport office, that we were wasting our time waiting in line. While there were a couple of familys ahead of us, we thought we would wait and see how things progressed. Well after 30 minutes, and with the same family still at the counter, we realized we were not going to get waited on today. UP-DATE: Found out you could go to the Cleveland, SC post office for passports. We went this morning, 06/30 and arrived at 11:30 am and were out in less than 20 minutes. While we were the only ones there for a passport, 20 minutes was from the time we arrived in the parking lot to the time we got back in our car. Stacy was the person that helped us today. She was a pleasure to work with. We would recommend taking time to make the short drive to Cleveland, SC. Flowers to Stacy !!!

My husband and I both took time off work today to go to the post office an hour before it closed to get our sons passport. They turned us away at 4:30. They do not take appointments so youre at their mercy. There were people in line for a very long time who were turned away. I tried to make an appointment a t another post office that requires appointments but no one will answer the phone. I finally got a hold of another one after leaving the post office and was able to get an appointment a month from now. How is this possible? Passports are required to travel out of the country and yet almost impossible to get. When youre getting a passport for a child, both parents have to be present and the child and you have to have all of th lthe documents with you. It cannot be done by mail. How are we supposed to work and take care of things like this when they have no Saturday hours either?

The carriers in Greenville cant count. Was stopped by a carrier and asked if my house was 8 or 6. Really? Cant you read the number on the door and mailbox? It took a month to get a return call and no apologies were given. Just the comment "The supervisor in that area is good". Really? Two days later, they couldnt tell what day of the month it was. Mail was stopped on Thursday and was supposed to be restarted on Tuesday. Unfortunately, they delivered it on Friday or Saturday since it was there when I got home on Sunday. Truly wonder if its worth complaining since its clear that these people dont want to work. And, since its a government job, they cant be fired.

This post office service is horrible!!! They delivered my package to the WRONG address. I got in touch with a lady, she said she will need to "look around & talk with some people to see what happened" then call me back. Its been 4 days, I havent heard anything. I keep calling & calling NO ONE answers the phone, & you cant leave a voicemail bc the box is full. If I could, boy I would leave a nasty message. I do not pay my money & order things for my packages to go to other people!!!!!

Since we started having a new mail delivery person, our products are not coming to our address. Amazon sent a package, which they said was delivered to us, but it never arrived. Also, my childs birthday card arrived with only the envelope and no card. The sender said there was a card with $10 in it. Lastly, our landlord who lives a mile away said she is missing a check for $6000. We live near Gantt, so please be aware of what is going on. Thank you.

Searching for a package that fedex transferred to this office for delivery 7 days ago. My local PO gave me 2 numbers, one for the main supervisor, one for the general supervisor. Any attempts to call in has been met with,"the persons voice mailbox is full, please try again later." message. The main number also does this. Pretty smart way to discourage someone calling to ask for assistance. Just 2 stars for now. Ill update after I show up in person

I hope to never use the USPS again, and if I have to, I certainly hope I dont have any reason to go to this location. I cant speak for all of the employees here, but the one that "helped" me was about as useless as a snowmobile tire. She was very rude, short with me, and not helpful in any way. If you have to ship anything, I would suggest FedEx or UPS, regardless of price. As of today, I am officially rooting for the bankruptcy of the USPS.

Passport window has only one clerk spending 25-30 min per person, while other 3 clerks giggling trying to tape one box up. This is ridiculous. No numbers to take, no seating area. Theres no way to get an appointment anywhere else either because no one ever answers the phone calls or it would be 3-4 weeks from present date! And then 6 weeks of processing or 3 weeks if you pay for expedited service. I dont know how this is ok by any means!

I will say that while I have had mixed experience with some of the employees here the Passport lady was very nice and helpful and our regular mailman George are both very nice and professional. Everyone is leaving negative reviews because their Mail was lost. Thats not what this page is for. Mail gets lost at many points of transit and its not the local post offices fault in all cases

The online phone number doesnt work. The number that 1-800-ASK-USPS gives doesnt work either. The voice box is always full and there is no other option. THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT THE POST MASTER!!!!!!!!! I HAVE COMPLAINED THE THE POST MASTER GENERAL OF THE US!!!!!!!! I have lived all over the world and this is the worst postal service EVER!!!!!!!
