Every time I come in this particular post office. The ladies are extremely rude as if they just hate their job, their life idk. I have walked in numerous times to be assisted to send boxes to my fiancé APO in the past for the first time and received no help. I just kept getting turned around every time I got to the front for something but they were always dry and rude and would never assist me. I would spend at least 45 minutes trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. I shook it off, but today I walked in, I was sending a package that needed to go in a box. I remember getting turned around and sent out of the line before for not having the box ready, so I stepped out of line to ask one of the ladies for tape. I was told I had to pay for tape. I have never paid for the tape , so I asked her was she sure. She repeated herself , but this time calling me sweetie. Im calling her she, because, I dont think I saw a name badge on. (One of the Post Office ladies). I watched a female manager provide a young lady with tape right before I ask. So I asked her if I could see a manager , the manager told me I could use the tape and that I didnt have to pay for the tape. Really?! 15 minutes later, Im now able to get the box tape. I taped the box, the manager asked me to write the address on the top of the box (pointed where to write it). Then pretty much instructed me to get back at the end of the line. Your associate has wasted my time, and my lunch period. I end up speaking with another manager, (guy) who emerged out of a room and explain what had happen to him and how I was late going back to work. He instructed me to get in the front of the line. Its only one lady who is nice when you go in there, she is never rude. She is the African American slimmer lady with the glasses who is normally on the end accepting passports. Im not sure how the rest, maintain their job with their funky rude attitude. I will not come back to this location. Im sure there is many others who can vouch for the rudeness from the staff.

Passport Customers Beware: Call before you go! I went yesterday on my lunch break to apply for a passport card but they were slammed with 2 passport applicants waiting and 1 being helped so I decided to come again today. Passport hours are listed as 10-4 I think. Well today, at 11 AM, there was 1 customer being helped and 1 customer preparing a package. NO ONE in line. So I went up to the front of the line and the lady at the counter asked if I was applying for a passport, and I said yes, and she said weve stopped excepting passport applicants today but you can go downtown. She said they wouldnt do passports for another 4 days. I just stood there kind of shocked trying to think if I had the hours mixed up until she asked me if I wanted to speak to someone about it. I told the Supervisor that I didnt understand and she said they were short staffed but that she could take my number and call me when they could do my passport. With her and the manager, plus the two employees at the counter, they made 1 more employee than the day before but whatever. I would just skip this branch altogether and go downtown or somewhere more professional.

Inexcusable. Waited in line for 20 minutes to be RUDELY told they dont accept passport applications without a specific appointment (yes my application was filled out exactly correctly, picture correct and appropriately stapled to application, brought all the necessary proof of I.D. and associated copies). When I referred to two governmental websites that indicated they did (the federal passport acceptance facility website AND THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE WEBSITE), I was met with the snarky retort "yeah well theyre wrong." Perhaps it would be prudent to correct these aforementioned websites to prevent everyday Joe America from waiting such lengths of time only to be turned away by a rude employee with clearly larger troubles than a citizen with a point; I responded as much. My "attitude" was unappreciated, and needless to say, I would rather have my naughty bits shoved in a meat grinder than ever have to enter through the threshold of that hole again.

Usually I have good friendly service. Today after waiting in line for 20 minutes with only one clerk actually taking customers I finally got up to the front to purchase postage stamps. The clerk rudely told me I could either buy 100 or none. I said that was hardly fair-- I want 6, not 100. She rudely ignored me and tried to get me to pay for my one other item, acting like my desire to purchase stamps was resolved. I had to suggest buying 10 and 1 cent stamps-- she offered no solution at all. I also know she could have printed out postage, which would have been my next idea. However she never suggested any of this, just tried to talk over me and ring me up without actually giving me any help. Unacceptable-- imagine it this were a privately owned business!!

Website states that this usps location closes at 5:00pm. I rushed out to get an important package out got there at 4:41pm and they were already closed. Most post offices are not like this one. The staff here are LAZY. I came here two days earlier and there was one staff woman in a white shirt that would wave her arm up and down rudely and frustrated at one elderly woman to get her attention at the waiting line. Next time I will be going to Fedex. *** I should also say that when I arrived many of the customers were coming out of the door in disbelief. When I told one lady who just arrived that they were close and she said unbelievable! It is not even 5:00 pm yet. Good job USPS. Please correct the closing time if you decide to be lazy and unhelpful again.

I left a package at Orchard Park on May 30. This package had a prepaid return label on it. A couple of weeks later the tracking showed the package had not left Orchard Park. I went in for them to track the package as other locations have no problem finding the status of a package even if it is not showing on line. They told me that the package was in transit even if I could not see it. I did NOT believe them and knew that they probably misplaced the package somewhere there. I notified the company that supplied the label to put a trace on it or file a claim. On June 22, the package tracking shows it has now been picked up by the third party vendor. This is absolutely ridiculous. I will not use this post office for prepaid returns again.

I arrived at this Post Office about 15 minutes before they closed on Saturday. I was impressed that they had someone at each register and someone who was asking the folks in line if she could help them with purchasing stamps or dropping off a package. I used to go to the post office several times a week about 10 years ago, and I have to say, it looks like they have improved in terms of customer service. They have more people and the people who are working work at a decent pace.
