I never leave reviews like this, but on the off chance you find yourself looking for a post office in the Anderson area... go to Sandy Springs. Im not exaggerating when I say this location provides some of the worst customer service I have ever received. I went recently to update my passport (which my wife was told they could do in-house with an appointment) and was told to wait at the wrong window for half an hour. Customers in front of me were upset because they had packages missing or mail sent to the wrong location. Once I finally got to the window I was instructed to wait at another door, and had to wait for a period of time there as well. Once I got back to the area where they issue passports, the lady who arrived was unkind and told me they didnt do passport renewals and I would have to mail it in. I wasted an hour here based on information USPS employees at this location had provided my family, for no reason whatsoever. This isnt the only negative experience Ive had at this location. Every time Ive had to go here the employees seem bothered to even be there. I know they probably have hard days and deal with unruly customers, but the consistently poor service & unkind treatment Ive received (and others I know in the area have received) is simply unnecessary. Go to Sandy Springs for USPS.

For some reason the post office/postal workers and post office employees who deliver mail do not care at all about what they do. I have had 3 packages lost within a 1-2 month period. And no one could ever give me a reason why. They just washed their hands of the whole situation. They even blamed it on the kids that live in my neighborhood. Seriously. Ive had many packages delivered through USPS and other carriers and not one missing but all of a sudden I have had 3 packages that are "lost" according to the local post office. You can forget about calling in any kind of complaint the representative who handles that will not call you back or it takes that person several weeks to call you back. Ive gone several months with no response still regarding the packages that were lost. Sad thing is Ive already dealt with the issue with the company whom I bought the items from. Its sad that they have to lose money because the post offices cannot seem to do their job effectively.

I have an issue with my mail lady. If we have a package delivered thats to big for our mail box she sits at my box and lightly blows her horn. If I have a TV on or if Im out back I dont hear it. So instead of getting out of her car and putting the box by my front door she crams it into my mailbox. It just took me almost 20 minutes to get a box out, and the door on the mailbox was open since it was hitting the box. Anyone who walked or drove by seen the package. Her excuse last time I asked her to stop this was she was afraid of my dogs. My dogs are either inside my house or out back. This is crazy, my packages are being damaged because shes too lazy to come to my door. And I cant complain to the office because they are all rude. I love our weekend lady and wish we had her full time. Yes she runs a little later but has no issues with putting a box beside the door instead of cramming it into the mailbox.

Havent received my mail in over a week and been wondering why. Finally caught up with the mail lady and she was like I stopped putting mail in the box because the mailbox leans. Like what the heck? It has a slight lean. Its not falling over, on the ground, etc. So if my electricity gets cut off or I miss important mail that needs a urgent response me telling them my mail lady refuse to put mail in my box not going to get my power cut back on. Ive been waiting on package as well as other mail and now I know why I havent been getting it. Told me all of my packages and mail is at the post office and thats where I need to pick it up from now own until the mailbox gets fixed.

Passport woes. 5 Post offices are listed in the Anderson area as Passport acceptance facilities. However this is the only one that actually accepts them. The only person that accepts them is a queen of her own little fiefdom. She requires appointments, takes two hour lunches, and doesnt work on Fridays. To make an appointment you have to leave a voice mail and she will call you back. We are on our 4th voice mail over 7 days have yet to get a call back. Weve got everything printed and filled out it is literally a matter of showing ID and handing over forms.

Some people will just complain about the smallest things ! My letter carrier is nothing but professional & great attitude. Maybe you should talk to your carrier to resolve issues instead of going over their head by calling management. Alittle appreciation goes a long way. The USPS is a SERVICE, their salaries dont come from YOUR taxes or govt. Stop worrying about the small things in life...Get a p.o. box !

Complained about postman not doing job appropriately. Commonly leaving box door open and allowing blowing rain to saturate our publications. Manager of delivery said he had little recourse but would talk to J----about problem. Ashamed someone more appreciative could not have the job.

My Mail was to be forwarded on DECEMBER 29, 2016. Ever since I requested the forward I HAVE NOT received one piece of mail!!! WHY ASK FOR SPECIFIC DATE WHEN IT OBVIOUS THE USPS DECIDES WHEN THEY WANT TO STOP OR FORWARD FOR MAIL!!!

The most obnoxious, rule-bound group of dolts our business has ever encountered! No wonder people are fleeing the USPS in droves!
