Surf Master by the Sea is a pretty good beach rental option if you know what youre getting yourself into. Personally, I have stayed at other beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and have enjoyed beaches more in less congested and more private areas. This cant be helped at Mrytle which is a very popular destination for familys trying to vacation at the beach. Surf Master by the Seas condo was nice and pretty clean but the setup with the washer/dryer and dishwasher made for a very loud and noise polluted living room. Also, Surfside Beach (the beach youll use if you stay at Surf Master by the Sea) has taken a strange stand on allowing families to use beach tents on their section of the beach. Other beaches give families this option but Surfside refuses to. Youre forced then to PAY to rent a chair and umbrellas or you can choose to sit behind the rentable chairs. This isnt a terrible option, but then instead of enjoying a view of the ocean youre staring at the back of some strangers head. Not a terrible resort but far from the best. Personally, I will make a point to vacation at a less commercialized beach along the Atlantic Ocean next time.

We have stayed at the Surfmaster for many years. I first stayed there in 1993 and I can honestly say that every visit has been perfect for us. We have stayed in multiple units 1-bdrm, 2- bdrm, 3-bdrm, and Penthouses over the years all rented through GCR and every one spectacular and without one single problem that was not addressed immediately and without delay. The staff in the office at the Surfmaster has always accommodated us when possible for early or late check-ins and are always pleasant and willing to do whatever possible to make sure our vacations are perfect. Great customer service and wonderful accommodations.

The room is spacious and well laid out. The view is nice. The kitchen appliances could use updating, but they are functional. The walls seem to be well insulated, because we havent heard much of any noise after going to bed. The beds themselves are uncomfortable and noisy (due to the coils). The internet connection is weak and, although there is a DVD/VCR combo player, it isnt hooked up to the tv, so its inoperable. The location is good. We are close enough to the pier that we could walk to it, if we wanted. We would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, smells great! It has really good connection to the internet. It has easy access parking and plenty of spaces. Every unit has a really good view. The Jacuzzi is small but the pool is really great and plenty of room for all the guests. I like the huge apartment. Plenty of room for my family of 6. We had a great view of the ocean. The deck is really big too. Its a little outdated decoration wise, but it was perfectly functional!

Loved it here! Our condo was awesome, so clean, comfortable and WOW what an amazing view! They had a basket of seashells next to a guest book (I dont know, maybe this is normal?) but really cool that past guests signed the seashells, It was neat to see where people came from. We got married on the beach :) it was wonderful! Loved the Conch Cafe!! Just a short walk down the beach.

Had a terrible experience at Surfmaster! Place could have been so nice, but very dirty and in need of repair. Looks great in pics and view and pool were wonderful but that is where it ends. Management was not helpful, treated us poorly. Spent a lot of time during our vacation trying to make this unit (#112) liveable. . Do not go to Surfmaster!

On one hand, not the greatest experience, due to getting a condo that hasnt been renovated, and there were some maintenance issues. That said, the building manager, Drew, was very helpful with issues, taking care of problems and getting broken items fixed. Pool was nice, as was the hot tub. Id stay here, again, but in a different unit.

Surf Master by the Sea is one of the premier condominium complexes on the south-strand. Garden City Realty does an excellent job maintaining the rental properties in the building. Their on-site staff and office make check-in so easy. Surf Master is truly the best place on the beach!

I stayed in one of the penthouses in the south building and it was absolutely gorgeous. Great views, own personal hot tub on the balcony, and spacious enough that 5 adults and a newborn didnt feel on top of each other all the time.

We love coming to surf master. Our condo is great, there bedrooms with five beds total. It sleeps the whole family and provides a great environment for hanging out looking out at the beach and enjoying the ocean!
