Responsive? Yes. Shocked by the price...oh yeah. Admittedly, I am no plumber. If I was, I would have most certainly addressed my simple issue. In the past when I called RR, they do a fine job and never an issue what so ever. But today, well, they kinda "had me over the barrel"as my well line was leaking. So when they came out, the serviceman decided to quote me, what effectively was 2 hours of work for $600.00...thats $300.00 per hour. Dont Attorneys charge that kinda money? Now, this work included $130 of parts, (3 shut off valves and another brass fitting...seems excessive, doesnt it?) and the balance in labor. Im a simple guy and Im nobodys fool, so when I did the math, I thought, well, that doesnt seem fair. So I chose not to do the work... what would you do? As an investor, we need things done right (which they do Im sure) AND at prices that make economic sense. As a smart investor, this made NO SENSE what so ever, so i declined. So why write this? To inform my fellow yelpers to DO RESEARCH and dont simply just accept any offer when you need help. Im sure these guys at RR are fine people and the owner even called me to smooth things over which was appreciated. BUT know how much things cost, negotiate the offer, then accept, reject or decline! When I needed a plumber I went with a well established name. When I searched for them online, I was pleasantly surprised that I could schedule an appointment online. So I did just that and 30 minutes later I received a call from Roto-Rooter here in my city Rock Hill confirming my appointment and specifying within 2 hours when the plumbers would be here and that I would receive a call when they were on their way...Wow! When they arrived, they were so nice and friendly. They quickly gave me a price and soon thereafter my sink was unclogged. What was so nice is that while they were checking for any leaks after the repair, one of the plumbers gave me some valuable information that I didnt know. Namely that a garbage disposal was not designed to handle anything more than the few table scraps that came off of a dinner plate. No green vegetables or onions or anything heavier than water was good for a disposal. Not only that but the dish washing soap used to wash those dishes is literally made up of 40% grease or oil and that fact also contributed to clogged sinks. All I can say is...Wow! I will definitely be calling them in the future and you should also!

I called early yesterday morning to request service on 2 dripping toilets. The receptionist was extremely helpful and polite. She took my information and said she would get someone right out. I fully expected to wait for hours when to my surprise the doorbell rang what seemed like 30-45 mins after I called. The service technician was also very professional, clean cut and polite. I explained what I had done from a troubleshooting standpoint and listened to everything I had to say. He then went to work troubleshooting the problem. He identified the problem pretty quickly and it was the same for both 10 year old toilets. Once I authorized the repairs and the service technician began the repairs it did not take very long at all. I have to say Im looking forward to a lower water bill next month now that both toilets are no longer dripping. This is my second time using this Roto Rooter location and they will be the only plumber I call in the future. Very pleased with their service.

I called several other plumbing services before calling Roto-Rooter of Fort Mill. These other places wanted to charge me extra fees and had extensive wait times before someone could help me. In a plumbing emergency like we had, time was critical. Roto-Rooter dispatched a fully-equipped van to my house within an hour. The specialist (Bill Hovestadt) was very courteous, and professional. He was able to clear our main line quickly and used his camera system to discover a major problem. I received a DVD with the video footage that I was able to give to the plumbing contractor the next day. Bill came out the next day (without me having to ask him) to make sure that we were being taken care of and to offer any assistance. Without the knowledge and professional experience along with the necessary equipment that Roto-Rooter has, I wouldve overpaid for my service and would not have been taken care of as well. I would definitely recommend them for your plumbing emergencies!!

Absolutely amazing service for a late night sewage problem. Very professional serviceman and knew how to fix the problem without hesitation and did so in a timelty manner. The serviceman was very knowledgeable and I would recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone. The name of the serviceman was Scott. He was very clean and left everything in tip top shape. He came to my house when he said he would and answered any questions without any problems, and I would highly suggest the general public pick Roto-Rooter for any of their plumbing needs. Scott called and texed me to let me know he was on his way, and what time he would be there. I have never had this type of experience with a service call in my 50 years of being a homeowner. Roto-Rooter obviously has excellent hiring practices because if Scott is an example of the type of people they hire, then anyone would be foolish to call anyone except Roto-Rooter. The technicians were on time and got straight to work! I honestly have never saw someone jump into their job as quickly as those two did, which is a major plus because going without running water for 24 hours since our hot water heater busted wasnt a fun experience. They were happy to answer any questions I had and were so polite throughout the entire time they were at my home and cleaned up every bit of mess that did occur leaving not a spot behind. They doubled checked their work and were very thorough with doing their job and explaining the hot water heater to me. My wife and I are very pleased at their work and prices and so thankful that we got help with our situation as quickly as possible as we had someone check out our problem the day before. We will continue to use Roto-Rooter for many years to come and will definitely spread the word around about how great the company and employees are!! Thank you so much for such great work!

We had an exterior faucet break off at 9 pm. Water was gushing out of the pipe. We had to shut the water off to the whole house to get it to stop. I called Roto-Rooter and to my surprise I got to talk to a real person instead of an after hours answering machine. She was very sympathetic and assigned a plumber immediately. Scott got there quickly and explained everything (fees and the repair process) every step of the way. He analyzed the situation and tried hard to repair the problem quickly and inexpensively. Unfortunately he had to open the wall inside the house to properly repair the damage , but he was pleasant to work with every step of the way and he went out of his way to keep the mess to a minimum and cleaned up the area when he was done. Great people to work with and I will recommend them to everyone I know. Thanks again.
