The move was scheduled for February 21. The woman who set up the move from the Nashville office sent several emails to me detailing the move, with a mistake every time. However, she swore that she had all of the information correct with her. The warehouse supervisor in Chattanooga called Friday, February 20th, and said it was possible, that due to the wintry weather for the next day, there was a chance that they wouldn’t be able to help move. He said he would call the next day to let us know. The supervisor called back in the morning and said he lived on Lookout Mountain and couldn’t get drive down, due to weather, to distribute the keys to his workers for the trucks to help us move. He called later in the day, around 2 pm, and said that he couldn’t find anyone who wanted to work for our move that day. He then said his workers would definitely be there the next morning, Sunday, February 22 at 8 am to help us move. They arrived around 8 am, and didn’t start working until 8:15 because of all the paperwork that had to be signed. They also tried to mark on the paperwork that they started moving at 8 am, which was not true. The workers said that moving our piano would be an extra $50, which was not lined out in the contract. As the two men started to move items, one of the men was adding on information to the already written contract, asking us to initial by “written in” statements about the “already made” marks on furniture in the house. He said that they were not responsible for any “already marked” furniture after it was moved. We asked how we are supposed to know the difference between what was already there and what they have damaged. The worker responded by saying there wouldn’t be any damage from them, so it was never understood why they were asking us to initial to “already marked” furniture. We said we would just take pictures of all the furniture to designate the difference between “already marked” and damage from them. The worker said we couldn’t take pictures. As this continued, the worker’s demeanor became disrespectful. We then called the supervisor and asked him why we were being asked to initial by “written in” statements not already included in the contract as well as relay information concerning the worker’s demeanor. He also said that we were allowed to take pictures, even though the worker said no. The supervisor called his worker, had a discussion with him, and 10 minutes later, the workers started moving everything back in, saying they were quitting and not finishing our move. I attempted to call back the supervisor, twice, and he never answered. I was forced to leave a voice mail and have never heard back from the company. After we had to rent a uhaul and move everything ourselves and pay friends to help us, we found out from others that this company is prone to walking off jobs and has damaged furniture from other moves. If you can afford it, hire a good moving company. If you dont have the money, hire friends and a uhaul.

Ok first let me say...my actual movers were great. Very friendly. Professional. And fast. HOWEVER, this company seriously screwed with my money. When I booked my move... I was required to put down a $100 deposit that I was told would go towards my final balance. No problem. Right? Well at the end of my move, there was no recollection of my deposit. My movers called their manager while at my house to check to see if they showed the deposit. I personally heard the manager state he would check and give me a call. Well guess what? I never got a call. The next morning, Saturday, I check my account. Bam!! I was charged the full amount for the move. I call and speak with Heath, and explained the situation. He acted as if I was lying. Well he calls the "home office", and what do you know....he finds my deposit. Great! Just give me back $100 and were all great. Oh no. Too easy. It gets better. Apparently while trying to refund me the $100 I was overcharged...he accidentally charged me another $100!! Great. So here it is. In the middle of a move, and Im out of $200. He said that he would refund $200 and I should see it in my account "shortly". News flash!!! Its Saturday!! So no, Ill see it Monday at the earliest, which means Im just out of $200 that I really needed to help with moving expenses. Well here it is. Monday. Check my account. Do you think I saw the $200 refund I was due?? Of course not. There is 1 deposit refund...for $100. Im fed up. My recommendation. Stay away unless you have lots of time and money laying around to waste with these people.

Im 29 and my girlfriend and I have never used movers since I have a large family, but we moved to Chattanooga and they live 4 hrs away. I called fox movers and within 30 secs had a quote and a day. I went from a 3rd story apt to a 1st floor apt and they crushed it. It was raining and they didnt even care!!! They wrapped everything up and took amazing care of all our things. They never took a break or even so much as slowed down. Ronnie and Louis were not only very very efficient, but were very professional and nice. I even offered to help and they said that I didnt have to touch a thing and just point out what goes and where it needs to go with a smile on their faces. Ive moved 7 times in 12 years and this was the first time nothing was damaged. Those two should be paid $20 an hour for how hard and how great they were. Im a manager at Target and I saved their number so if anyone talks about moving I will swear on Fox movers!!! This was supposed to be a terrible move and those two made it the best move weve ever had to do. The price is affordable and the workers are amazing. Thank you both for your hard work and great customer service.

The lack of in-company communication is absolutely staggering. I was surprised to be told that my work order had not been put in after confirming it two days prior to my move then waiting for more than two hours for the movers to show up. Cool, Im a reasonable person. Sometimes these things happen in larger companies. I rescheduled for the next day. My surprise and ire grew as I waited for more than an hour for my movers to show up again. I had to call down and leave two voice messages before anyone even got back to me. Apparently, a miscommunication had happened again and I would have to wait for at least another hour for anyone to show up. When I called the main office to complain, I was offered a paltry discount for my troubles. Upon reflection, I decided that if they could not properly handle their own scheduling affairs then they would in no way be equipped to handle my valuable property. I felt that my time and patronage was not valued, and I would dissuade anyone from using this company.

The actual packing up and moving went well (nothing damaged, moved fairly quickly, good price, etc.). However, the Fox employee was one of the most rude, obnoxious, and angry individuals I have ever met. He repeatedly cussed, talked bad about his boss at Fox, yelled at the other mover, and smoked while he was moving my stuff into/out of the truck. I would not chose this company again because of that employee (Scott)! I cannot believe that Fox has him representing their company. My husband was scared to leave me alone with him. In my opinion, the low price is not worth dealing with employees like him! It is also improper to force the customer to fill out a review of the services right in front of the movers. If the company actually wanted an honest opinion, customers would not have to complete the review in person. The movers also mentioned tipping NO LESS THAN 5 times during the 2.5 hour move. Extremely unprofessional.
