Christian Brothers Automotive in Collierville stands behind their work. Some time ago Christian Brothers performed some work on one of my vehicle’s wheels. I was, and am, very pleased with that service. Recently I had Christian Brothers perform work on another wheel (my car is getting long in the tooth). I was, and am, pleased with that work as well. However, a short time after the work was performed I noticed that a problem with that wheel, possibly a part defect, had developed. I phoned Nick Gleaves, the Service Advisor. Less than 30 minutes later Nick was at my house to check the wheel in my garage. Erring on the side of caution, Nick called for a wrecker. Around an hour later a wrecker towed my car to Christian Brothers. Nick replaced the new parts and I was on my way – no hassles, no excuses. I could not have asked for a better response (Id give you another 5 star review, but Im only able to add to my review of an earlier service). Thanks Nick. (The following is an older post); Friday morning I limped into Christian Brothers Automotive in Collierville with only two lug bolts/nuts on one of the wheels. Apparently the lug nuts had been cross threaded or over tightened when my tires were rotated at another business causing the lug bolts to snap when an attempt was made to remove the nuts. A Christian Brothers Rep met me in the parking lot and let me know that they might not have time to do the repair that day. When he heard that I was on only two lugs, he said, “We need to take care of that today.” Replacing the lug bolts on my Honda Accord is not a simple fix, nor is it cheap. Austin Watkins, Christian Brothers Automotive Service Manager, clearly explained the procedure to me and, by phone, to the rep of the business where the tires had been rotated and who had previously agreed to pay for the repair. The store manager at the other business got involved and eventually decided that the store would not pay for the repairs at that time, and that forms would have to be completed and sent to corporate for their determination. I do think that the other business would have eventually paid for the repairs; however, that would have been down the road and after a lot of my time wasted and a lot of aggravation. I was not a happy camper. Finally, after around two and one-half hours, I was able to get the manager of the other store on the phone with Austin Watkins. Austin, who was very knowledgeable regarding the cause of the problem and the necessary repairs, was so effective in explaining the matter that the other store manager immediately agreed to pay for the repairs. The mechanic worked on my car well after closing time to complete the repairs, but by the end of the day the work had been completed. Christian Brothers Automotive dealt directly with the other store to obtain payment. All I had to do was get in my car and drive. Thanks to all the nice folks at Christian Brothers Automotive.

I took my car over today in the morning around 9:45 am, told them that all I need is to change the front brake pad. They told me they need 2-3 hours work, and they will call me after they finish, that sound terrific, isnt it? I waite untill 3:00pm and nobody called me so I felt like I need to give them a call instead. and the guy who answered the phone said it was getting very close, I asked can you tell how long I still need to wait since I have somewhere need to go around 5, and then he checked with someone and said "in another one hour and half "(he called this as getting very close), but he didnt sounds like very confident about what he said. Then I asked about the cost, then he told me that they havent check with brake pads supplier and not sure about price yet. so basically they havent start to work on my car at all. And I dont even know when they were going to start if I didnt call them at 3:00 pm. I understand that they are possibly busy, but they can definitely tell me ahead of time, so that I can make a plan. but they gave me the hope that they can finish the job by earlier in the afternoon, but when I called in at 3 pm and what I found was no one really started work on my car yet, and they tried to lie to me that it was getting close without feeling guilty. Anyway, finally they told me that they are going to work on my car and I can get my car around 4:45. I hope I can get my car back on time to catch my appointment after. This business gave me such a impression that they tried to get the business first, and not very honest about the information that they provided to the customer. They have a BBB credit certificate display in their front lobby which is very ironic. This is the first time I rank a service business one star, I hate to spend time writing this long paragraph. But I hope this can help them to think about their business behavior. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have taken all our cars to Christian Brothers almost exclusively since they opened and they have always taken great care of us and our cars. They have always been honest and true to their word...which is rare today in most auto mechanic shops. I have never felt that they have pushed to sell me up on something I may or may not need. They are always impeccable in their customer service, too!. For example, I recently was traveling out of town and my car locked up and I barely made it to a rest area. After many failed attempts to reach my husband, I called Mr. Jimmy Turner to seek his advice on what to do. He graciously remind me of their roadside assistance program that was available to me. He walked me through what to do and checked on me numerous times to make sure I was being taken care of. He also called the next day to make sure my car was being repaired and I was okay. When I got back home and had to take my husbands car in, he again asked about my car and made sure all went well for me. You cant beat that kind of customer service!! We are loyal customers for sure!

I am fairly new to the Collierville area and called quite a few local shops to try and diagnose my overheating Mustang before heading out of town. As soon as the Service Manager (Bobby) answered the phone and I explained my situation, he was honest in admitting that I may not be able to get squeezed in on that given afternoon, but was immediately solution-oriented in offering alternative times to accommodate my busy work schedule to at least see if I would be safe making the long drive. I had somewhat emergency-called the shop after it had already closed, left a voicemail, and quickly got a call back saying I could come on over for some quick testing. Its rare that companies do that for their customers these days; and manager-to-manager, I truly appreciated all of their help and kindness in a time I was clueless and kinda scared that my car was going to explode. I will definitely go there for all of my automotive needs, and hopefully youll do the same. You wont be disappointed!
