I called up the shop mainly because I had a check engine light on. I also made them aware that I needed an oil change. They got me in that same day. That was good. When I arrived they got the car in aright away and checked the code reader and changed the oil. So far so good. When I went to pay the employee was on the phone and just rushing me through paying without explaining what they had done. I had to ask what they found when they read the code. To which the employee seemed very confused. He checked the paperwork and told me what the issue was. Then, I had to ask, if they fixed it. He said no they did not have a technician there that could do it that night. OK, but he never asked if I wanted to bring the car back the next day to have this repaired, or if it was OK to drive the car as is. He just sent me on my way. I called a different garage and brought my car in the next day for repairs. As it turns out a squirrel chewed through some wires and all that needed to be done was a simple twisting of the wires back together and then heat wrapping the wires with a tiny sleeve. That cost me $200 at another shop. I find it hard to believe that Tires Plus did anything else besides reading the code. If they would have taken the two seconds to look under the hood I would think just about anyone at their shop could have fixed this issue. I could have even fixed this myself except for the fact that I didnt know where in the engine to look, but their code reader told them what was wrong so I feel like they could have at least looked in that general area to see if anything appeared wrong. Needless to say it seems that I caught this shop on a lazy day of pushing people through and not giving good customer service. Very disappointed.

I recently made an appointment for a (paid) estimate at the Tires Plus store located at 1450 MacArthur Rd in Madison, WI due to a noise coming from my right front tire area that appears when going over bumps. My car was brought into the shop as usual with no problems just to have the technician come tell me that the noise is caused because of my struts & said I need to replace it. He also stated that the guy who was working on my car managed to break the bar & bolt but stated they would take care of that. Shortly after he told me the price for the strut replacement he stated that I would also need to pay for an alignment and for a new strut mount which didnt make sense to me because the mechanic at that shop broke it. He told me many times that in order for them to replace it they would have to replace the whole entire strut assembly. Im really lost & confused as to why I would be obligated to pay for a service that was worsened by the mechanic? The tech speaking to me was very aggressive & didnt seem to have any knowledge of what he was talking about as he continued to ask his coworker "what are we doing, what are we doing"? as he was talking to me. It was very unprofessional & he didnt seem to have any legitimate knowledge of what he was talking about which is why it was hard for him to explain to me. How can you explain something to somebody when you dont even have any knowledge of what exactly is going on yourself? I felt as if he was trying to deceive me. I believe his name was "Darius" as that is the name stated on the work order. Long story short, my car was damaged & I couldnt get my service completed due to lack of courtesy by the staff.

A couple months prior to this visit for two front tires, the mechanic cross threaded the lug nuts and simply impacted them down. Well when i changed my brake pads the post snapped (ok whatever ) well this last visit for rear drum brakes and two more tires (which both my girlfriend and i were told it would cost $600 total by bob) turned to be a mess. After letting them know about the cross threaded bolts they basically ignored me. Well they snapped off 3 more studs/posts this timeand instead of putting new ones in they put smaller or different lug nuts on which they had to fight to get on because i watched them struggle and i asked multiple times whats going on and they wouldnt tell me. Just kept saying it wont be much longer. Finally some one else comes out of the back and i asked them and they said they had to re thread the post. (Which they shouldve just replaced being so simple and cheap) well now 3 out of 4 wheels have broken posts and they charged us $800 and after both of us asking why they only responded with "i dont know where this discrepancy is coming from" my point is they are rude. Unprofessional, cut corners and over charge. I know my back brakes were getting bad but they told me they exploded. Well there wasnt a single drop of fluid on the garage floor or anything and when i crawled under the car the brake fluid was all over everything. No way it wouldnt have dripped. OH YEAH! They also never refilled the brake fluid! Horrible experience. Do yourself a favor and give your business to a place that deserves it.

I went to this tires plus to get my heating core looked at. Thankfully my brother brought me in and we dropped my car off at 7 in the morning. I understood that they were busy and that was fine, but in the previous weeks I lost a center cap for my vehicle on the interstate, they even noted that I did not have all my center caps in the paperwork. I was perfectly fine with this and left the other 3 in the trunk with plans to get a replacement and put them back on at a later date, but I digress. This specific visit was atrocious to say the least, because while I was sitting and waiting for 7 hours to get my vehicle finished, there must have been a total of 7 vehicles that were random pull ups that were done before my vehicle was even looked at. After all was said and done they charged me over 300 dollars for the work that they "Did" which clearly made no difference whatsoever when it came to how quickly the vehicle heated up or how quickly the cabin got heated. The reason I mentioned the center caps before was because of the fact that I had pulled to the side of the road probably a week ago to help a friend change a tire and one of my center caps had vanished. I thought this was a mistake being as the last time anyone else had access to my vehicle was when my car was getting looked at at this location. I looked up and down and in my garage at home to see if it was misplaced. All things said and done this place is shady and takes far too long and scams you out of money, and apparently now they steal items out if your car.

I brought my Subaru Forester in last week Wednesday at 3 p.m. for an oil change and fuel system cleaning. I was told that my vehicle would be ready by 4pm. After 3 hours of waiting with NO UPDATES, I noticed that one of your techs was smacking something pretty hard on both interior sides of my engine compartment with the back end of a hammer. Upon seeing this I immediately stood up, walked into the shop, and asked what happened. Your techs informed me that for some reason after the fuel system clean and oil change that my car would now not start. Obviously distressed, I walked back into the lobby and proceeded to wait until 7:30 pm. The tech then told me that they would not be working on my car anymore tonight, and then walked back into the shop without a single offer to help me with a car. I then had to wait in line behind customers just to ask if I could use one of your phones to call a cab for myself. I missed my girlfriend’s birthday dinner with her family who had driven 5 hours to be there. I missed a client meeting at 8:30 p.m. which caused me and my team undue stress and a late night of work. I missed a morning meeting while I tried to find a way to come get my car back from you. And now that I get my car back it has : • NO FOG LIGHTS • A REAR DOOR LOCK THAT NOW OCCASIONALLY JUST WONT RELEASE • AN AIRBAG FAULT • OVERHEATED 3 TIMES WHICH HAS HAD LANDED ME STUCK IN TRAFFIC DURING RUSH HOUR
