Ill be kind and give them one star for the simple fact that it was a hot day and I really enjoyed the AC inside their building but I would never recommend a company that puts profits before lives such as this one! I had a flat tire and my insurance company sent somebody to help me and he recommend GATEWAY when I asked for a place that would fix it or where I could purchase a new one and since I was near the place thats exactly where I went. They took my name and filled out some paperwork, asked for my keys and then I waited nearly an hour for my car to be fix (they are a very busy place). When they finally call my name and I aproached the counter the guy simply gave me back my keys and that was it, he said nothing. I asked if it was fixed and he said yes, I asked how much I owed and he said no charge and I was so greatful and appreciative!!! But, then as I got back on I-65 and then I-24 drove my way home to Joelton (very long drive) my tire lost the air and I lost control of my vehicle and almost have a wreck in wich I couldve injured or even killed myself and my employee all because these people only saw a hispanic lady with an accent who probably coulnt afford to buy a new tire...all they did was put some air and that was it! not even fix-a-flat or even recommend that I get a new one...BIG MISTAKE! I run a division in the company that I work for, I earn a very lucrative salary, my home is paid for and I have been an american citizen since 1982 and a tennessean since 1983 married for 30 years to a nashvillian and I could afford to purchase new tires if somebody wouldve told me that I needed a new one. My point is that I was discriminated against because that man only saw 2 hispanic ladies speaking Spanish in their waiting room NEVER OFFERED TO SELL ME A NEW ONE. Since they sent me with a bad tire and drove on 65 and then past downtown on 24W I destroyed the rim and the have to purchase a new one also along with the tire. I know that most people wont care about this review but if at least one person takes into consideration what I wrote...I DONE MY JOB! I WONT GO BACK YALL!

Im new to town and priced-out a four wheel balance and tire rotation with Gateway and three other tire dealers in Franklin, TN. They were the best price. I was amazed by the clean waiting area that didnt smell of rubber, nice leather lounge chairs, a wide variety of up-to-date magazines and a beverage station. The job was done quickly, communications were good and they didnt try to upsell me on anything--in fact they gave me a discount as a new client. A month later, I had a tire blow-out due to a pothole and they replaced the tire quickly. They even went to bat for me with the manufacturer and got a discount. Id be pleased to recommend them to everybody!

I have taken our cars to Gateway for maintenance in the past, as theyve always been up-front, honest, and usually the fairest price Ive found. Compared to other shops, they also seem to get the work done faster. Todays events have made me a loyal customer, and I hope that you will consider taking your vehicle to them in the future, as well. Debris on the interstate pulled the plastic shield under my bumper away from the wheel well and passenger side. Imagine my surprise when Gateway reattached the piece for us at no charge this morning. Thank you, Gateway, for not sticking it to us for something so simple. You have blessed my little family immensely today.

I have been a long-time customer of Gateway Tire; have always been pleased with service received, but on a recent visit to the Cool Springs location, I received a quote of nearly $900 for a leaking rear axle and brake job. I was stunned by the quote, but I approved the work. I carried my vehicle in; later that morning I received a phone call and was informed that the work turned out to be much less involved and was told that the bill would be substantially less. When I picked up the vehicle my bill was 1/3rd the quoted price. What an ethical business to deal with! I am a customer for life!!! M.R.S. in Franklin

Kind people, terrible service. I took my 98 Dodge Ram to gateway long ago to repair several issues I had. One of them was a terrible squeak when I hit the breaks along with a leveling kit and new shocks. I got the truck back and it was fine, but after just one week the squeaking came back and it was WORSE. They claimed to have replaced my break pads and rotors however it doesnt feel or SOUND like thats anywhere close to true... Either they lied or the mechanics didnt lube/grease the rotors. Either way it is just bad. I havent had the time to take it back and now I feel its been too long. Never going back

EDIT: Garth called my daughter and discussed the situation. Was truly sorry about her experience and stated that the problem should have been better explained to her. Also, offered to reimburse her for the towing expense incurred. Thank you, Garth, for your interest in correcting an unfortunate experience. **Was told it would be 45 minutes, but 3 hours later, my daughter was told her entire brake system would need to be repaired at a cost of $3000. Had the car towed elsewhere, and the problem was fixed with one part and a cost of $400.

Thanks to Mike and Justin at Gateway, you saved our move! Our cargo trailer blew a tire on I65 at 5:15 in Cool Springs. We used the spare and got to their shop 15 minutes after they closed and met them on their way out the door. They were so kind and re-opened for us. Mike banged away on our damaged hub and got us back on the road to Florida in no time! Im just sorry we are moving out of state and we cant continue to give them our business. These guys are great!

Made an appointment for an alignment service to be done. Brought my vehicle in the next morning and agreed it would be ready by mid-day. I returned over 3 hours later to find no work had been done. No phone call or contact alerting me the car wouldnt be ready on time. I left without any service done. ***Garth, the general manager, contacted me directly and explained their reasons for the mishap. I appreciated the follow-up and his efforts to make things right.

I went in for an oil change and was charged for "partial synthetic." It was $53, far more than I have ever paid for an oil change. The service guy told me I could have told them different, but since I was never told that I would be given this oil, against my will in the first place, and was never quoted a price, I dont know that would have been all that easy. I probably wont take my car back here unless I am desperate.

I have always had great service and fair prices from Gateway but I ended up paying $57 for an oil change. Thats quick lube pricing at 10 minute lube places and even then thats way too much for an oil change but you pay more for little wait. Just be aware and get a quote before you drop off because they will automatically charge for synthetic unless you request otherwise.
