Several months ago, I had major computer problems. For whatever reason, I chose Advanced Computers of Knoxville to look into the problem. That was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Within minutes, Mustafa had diagnosed the multiple issues with my computer and corrected them on the spot. He did not have to send it away, or take several days to take care of it; it was resolved immediately. He even took the time to educate me on what I should and should not be doing with my computer so as to preclude future problems. Mustafa went far above and beyond what I expected, for a very reasonable price. Needless to say, I was immensely impressed. From that point forward, I knew Mustafa was my computer man for life. Just last week, and much deeper into my grad program, more computer problems. No problem I thought; Mustafas my man. I called him right away at Advanced Computers of Knoxville. He informed me that if I could be at his shop/store off Cumberland Avenue before 5:00 PM he would have me up and running in no time. I drove forty-five minutes across town, literally passing dozens of computer repair shops to get my computer to Mustafa. Honestly, this time I expected to hear that I would have to replace the computer given the issues I was having. After a few moments, Mustafa quickly realized my hard-drive was bad. For a few dollars, within minutes it was replaced, on the spot. Mustafa, after being asked, even told me my computer did not need to be replaced despite its age of almost three years, all the while his shelves are full of computers for sale. If you are looking for an honest, incredibly skilled and knowledgeable computer repair shop with extremely reasonable fees, look no further than Advanced Computers of Knoxville. Mustafa will even keep you laughing while you wait as he has a great sense of humor. What more could you ask for?

Advanced Computers is serious about "same day service." The recent storms took out 2 of my desktops - one was unstable and the other was dead. I make my living online, so no computers means no income. Mustafa said he would have both computers done that day - without seeing them! This was not a simple boast -- but (as I found out) a commitment based on solid experience. The dead unit had a fried power supply and motherboard, so both needed replacement. Knowing that the unit was a bit older - I was curious how he would merge the new mother board with some of the older components. One example is that he modified or fabricated necessary cables! As closing time approached - I would have been pulling my hair out - but Mustafa was calm and committed to his same day service. Only not having a part in stock could have stopped him -- but he got both units running better than they had been before the storms. The ultimate shocker was the bill -- it was WAY less that I had estimated I live 45 miles from Mustafas shop, but will drive right past other shops to return to Advanced Computers for computer work or needed peripherals.

Of all the computer repair shops Ive used over the past 20+ years, Advanced Computers of Knoxville is, by far, the best by leaps and bounds. The two young men who own/operate the shop are technological wizards, but know how to talk to those of us who are technologically challenged. They are fun to talk to, energetic, extremely informed, and take time to explain. I got a phone call the very next day letting me know that I could pick up my computer. These men had gone beyond my expectations by also cleaning my computer (even its fans) and removing items that had never been used but could potentially cause trouble...even the exterior looked like new. Id drive miles out of my way to receive the service provided by Advanced Computers of Knoxville. I will go nowhere else. Oh...BTW, I left my wallet on the counter, and by the time I got home, they had already left me a message telling me that they would keep it safe until I could pick it up. So add chivalry and honesty to the list of qualities that will keep me coming back.

They spent lots of time on my computer running tests and doing various things because my computer kept crashing when I was playing games. Finally they came to the conclusion that my video card was not manufactured properly, however, I accidentally tore off the "warranty if void" sticker. They scratched off the adhesive so I could say that the sticker was never there, and I sent the video card back to the company. Sure enough I got a new video card, and now everything is working properly. Furthermore, they went through a three day process and only charged me the minimum price ($30). The one thing that was a little aggravating was when more than one customer comes in. There were three customers in the store, and he would show me something about my computer, then go talk about the other guys for a bit, then talk about the woman that was in there for a bit, then return to partially fix mine, and so on. It would be better to just finish them in a line, so then only one person is waiting instead of all three.

My Macbook Pro was not loading to the operating system and after taking it to OIT at UTK they told me I was having a hard drive problem and to take it to the Apple store in West Town Mall. By nature I am not a fan of "the mall" or anyone whose business title is "a genius" so I chose to go to BST Advanced Computers on Cumberland Avenue upon the recommendation of a friend and fellow satisfied customer. Fearing that I would not recover any of my files - my 100 GBs of music and school work - I handed them my computer expecting the worst. An hour or two after I handed them my computer I received a call about the diagnostic and they said they should have it all fixed by the next day. And what do you know! They did. All my files were just as I had left them and for a measly nine dollars they upgraded my Macbook to the Lion OS. All the employees were exceedingly friendly and never condescending towards my technological ineptitude. I will be coming here for all my computer needs from now on. Thank you BST.

Our first trip here was because of a crack screen on my laptop. Called around and advanced computers was the only place in town they had the screen in stock. I brought it in and they did the installation very quickly and price wasnt bad either. Later we needed a power cord fix for my wifes laptop and without calling I brought it in and Lee fixed it for us right away and it still works. That was several months ago. My father needed a custom build computer. He does lot of graphic demanding applications. He was shopping around for a good deal for a computer with 2 video cards and 16GB of ram. When he asked me for help, I called advanced computers and spoke with Lee again and for the price and performace the deal was great. Bluray works great and never had any issues for the last 3 months. They deserve my 5 star rating and if we need any computer repair or for a new PC we will come see these folks again. Highly recommended A+++
