Everything was off to a good start. I called and spoke with Ron. He wanted to come out the day I called but I had to work so I set it up for the following day at 10 o clock in the morning since my problem was not major. He described to me I would get a text when they were in route and another text when they were in the driveway. He even told me what he thought was the problem. I got up early the next morning to make sure I was ready when they arrived. I had things I needed to take care if in the afternoon so this was going to work out perfect. 10 o clock came and went nothing from this company. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I waited patiently. At 11:30 after not hearing from anyone I placed a call to them. It went to voicemail so I left a message. I as of 9:30 pm this evening have still not heard from them. I called another electric company at 1:00 pm. They told me they probably could not get to me today but definitely could the following day and they would call me. Much to my surprise this other company showed up at 6:00 pm and took care of my problem professionally and timely and they did not charge an arm n leg. They have my business for all future needs. Customer Service goes a long way and people have very busy lives. A phone call would have been nice. I hate waiting on someone to show and not call or show up. Very unprofessional.

When I think of Discount Electrical Service, I think of "The Rons". Ron, the owner, and Ron the lead Electrician who you usually deal with while they are working on your project. I have used them for multiple large home projects over the past year or so, and I cant say enough good things about this company. Ron, the owner, came to my house after I called him about some really, really weird electrical problems in my new home. Well, long story short, they made some calls and replaced every outlet and a lot of runs under my house. They also ran some specialty lines for my computer closet and the tanning bed in our garage. I have not had a single problem with anything they have replaced or put in place for me; and my projects were far from "straight forward" and I am not remotely the easiest customer to deal with when dealing with a new "unknown" company. Im flat hard to deal with and very particular; though they never let on that they noticed any of that. :) They arent too big to take on small home projects and still have the best rate around, and they arent too new or small enough that you have to worry about "shortcuts" or missed deadlines/appointments. You can tell they had a plan in the place when the company started, and they have been following it ever since. I plan on them being the only company I use for my home or my business projects.

The Rons helped us create a safer and much more efficient environment in the older home we recently purchased. They returned phone calls within an hour or so of my initial inquiry. They came out the same afternoon and looked over the job to give me a quote. There were many issues I was not aware of that were pointed out to me, but at no time did anyone pressure me to add to the job. They listened to what we really needed and educated us on what we needed to really do the job right. We got a very reasonable quote and they stuck to it! These guys went above and beyond my expectations and were a true pleasure to work with. It is always scary trying to find someone to come out and work on your home. It takes time to develop trust and to get an idea of how things will go. I checked these guys out because of the other reviews here on Google, and I am very happy to say they are the real deal. Honesty, integrity, and quality for a fair price. These qualities arent all that common anymore. It is refreshing to know that guys like this are still out there and skilled at what they do. Thank you so very much to the whole crew! I will certainly call upon you again when we are ready to tackle the next remodeling project in our home.

My wife and I recently acquired a infrared sauna and had to modifications to it and a wall plug to get it to work. Well, after I failed in my attempt to be a “Mr. Fix-it”, my wife contacted Discount Electrical Service. They did an awesome job. From the beginning when they arrived to evaluate the situation and quote me a price, Ron and Joe were knowledgeable, courteous, and explained everything so even I could understand it to explain to my wife. They were about 10min early when they returned to fix our electrical situation and were done in a timely manner. I mean they had to drill a hole in my outside wall, run a wire from one side of my house to the opposite side through my crawl space that’s no taller than 2ft in height, and wire and add a new breaker to my box outside. Then once they did that, they respliced the electrical cord coming from the sauna to correct what I did wrong. (Ha Ha!!) And all that was done in less that 2hrs. I would highly recommend Discount Electrical Service to all who have electrical needs. Don’t hesitate to call them. I will use them again definitely.

Wonderful experience with Discount Electrical Service. I had someone else start the job that really messed it up. I called DES on a Monday, on Tuesday they had Ron here looking at things and giving me a bid. On Thursday and Friday of that same week they had a crew here correcting the other work that had been done. When it got drier, they had a 4 person crew here to finish the outdoor work in one day. Had the electrical work inspected and passed! If I ever need electrical work done again Discount Electrical Service is who I would call.

Quality, fast, electrical service in Murfreesboro Tennessee. I needed to run 240v to my garage for woodworking tools. After waiting two weeks for missed appointments and calls with another company, I called Ron at Discount Electrical Service. His employee, also Ron, showed up at the appointed time, THE NEXT DAY, and did a great job. I had a clear estimate. He was pleasant, clean, and quick. The owner stopped by to help during the job, and everything was squared away and working perfectly before mid-day. Very pleased.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY I would give them 0 stars but it wont let me.I tried several times to get ahold of someone to do a minor electrical installation. Finally when someone did call back after numerous days an appointment was set up. I took off from work that day to be home. The appointment time came and went. No one ever called or showed up to do the work. I attempted several more calls to find out what happened and no one has ever returned them.

Great service and a great experience! Ron came out the same day I called to do an estimate and the job was taken care of the next day. We had tried calling a number of companies before Discount that would never even call us back. Quality work and service for a very reasonable price.
