I cannot more powerfully warn any prospective customers about the near criminal behavior of this company. In July I found that there was no air conditioning in my large house. I had already had very spotty performance by this company. Starting in July I required 11 separate visits to my house until the end of September. Over that time several holes were created in the walls in my house an many times my calls were on weekends where I was forced to pay time and a half. In sprite of thousands of dollars and essentially an entire hot summer in Nashville with no air conditioning the problem was only solve in the end of September. The problem was discovering a freon leak. I paid repeatedly for new freon. It is also expensive. Each time my sheet rock was opened I was forced to pay a painter to repair the damage. Finally the leak was discovered. I met one of the Frick repairmen who told me that he had been the one to discover the leak. He said it was simple to solve the mystery. At this point I received yet another bill for $1,499.71 for the final work. I contacted the company and informed them that I would pay no more money after they had failed so frequently to identify the leak. Frick put a collection company after me and I finally payed the bill. There is no integrity in this company. The level of performance is critically poor. The company spends no effort in communicating with customers. They never reached out to me about their repeated failed efforts. No remorse. No apology. I warn any prospective customer to find any other company for their air conditioning needs. Buyer beware. Bill Nealon

This company USED TO BE great. I used them repeatedly over the last 10 years and Ive even had my mom, dad and 3 friends use them on my recommedation. I dont know whats happened to them over the last year or two, but they are no longer the great company they were. They quoted me 3500 on a unit 11 months ago, and becue I called them in the heat of the summer, they jacked their quite up over $6000!!!plus it was the lower quality unit than I was promised before. I still had the paperwork even and James wouldnt honor his word. Now, the system I did have replaced by them last year, and I bought a 2 year complete warranttee and a 10 year parts warrantee, and its broken and they say I have to pay $99 for someone to come and look at it. I explained I have it under warrantee and I have the paperwork to prove it and they still said it will be $99 and I have to take it up with the office tomorrow. This is the last time I ever use them. Im about to replace my upstairs unit, and 3 units at my rental homes and they are not getting 1 cent if that work after the way theyve lied and cheated me the last year. This is the first negative review Ive ever written, but they are taking advantage of me and not keeping their word and thats the worst thing a company cant do. They will fail very soon.

Awful customer service. Tech was supposed to be at our house in the a.m after they were unable to complete a repair the day before. My wife took off work to wait for them and when they didnt show up she had to call and be told by a very rude and belligerent service rep that itd be another 3 hours. This happened twice until they eventually came at 6:30 p.m. when we were trying to get kids dinner and to bed. We blew the whole day and incurred extra childcare costs and lost work time because they couldnt get there within 8 hours of the appointment time. Beware that calls go to an answering service after 3:30 p.m. so its pretty difficult to contact anyone while you are waiting. The answering service was to contact their on-call technician but we never heard from them either. Im sure these folks do great work but there is really zero communication and at the end of the day, HVAC isnt a complicated business. Its about customer service and we just didnt see any effort to provide any.

We have used them several times in the last 6 years. I am a handyman and can do most projects (I know when something is not done correctly), but due to time constraints I use them when necessary, such as yearly HVAC tuneups. They never try to sell me something I DO NOT WANT. They have always been very professional and prompt. Their prices are very competitive. They recently installed a new water heater and did a good job, again...they could have cut corners, as other companies have done in the past, but they did it the RIGHT way. I will use them again..... probably to replace my 24 year old HVAC, they keep patching it together. ALL of their techs do not try to sell me a new unit, they just say "lets see if we can get 1 more year out of them" That is why I recommend them to all my friends.

Called and explained that I had a grinder that was leaking and needed repair. A service tech came out spent 2 minutes looking and said "your grinder is leaking and I cant fix a grinder...youll have to call the manufacturer. I wont charge you." I apologized and told him that I did explain when I called that I had a grinder. I received a bill 2 weeks later and when I called to inquire I was told that the tech was not authorized not to charge me so he shouldnt have told me that. Not sure why they would send someone if they knew they wouldnt repair a grinder. I did talk to other companies and they were upfront and said they didnt repair grinders....they didnt send someone to my house to tell me that so they could charge me a service fee! I hadused them in the past will never use them again.

8 hot summers courtesy of M.J. Frick. The air conditioner they installed is awful. The bad part isnt the air conditioner, but the fact that I had them out here several times the first year and it was never taken care of. The lady I talked to was always argumentative and said that all they were responsible for was keeping a house 17 cooler than outside. So that means that on a 100 degree day 83 degrees in the house is okay? I bet her house isnt 83 degrees today. Two thumbs down, I will never use them again.

Always deliver more than expected! Our brand new home was flooded during the big flood of TN 2010. The OWNER of the company came out to our home within a few hours of calling about replacing the unit. Everyone went overboard to accommodate our needs/schedule, etc. Now another year later - needed something checked out - they came out immediately - identified the issue, verified warranty covered it & taking care of the problem with no questions. I will always do business with MJ Frick!

I have used this company twice recently and have experienced them to be friendly, happy, helpful, professional, and stand by their work. When their guy who was supposed to come out to do a job for me was not reliable, his boss stepped up and came to do the job himself! Mark worked with me to achieve the desired outcome and was pleasant, efficient, and creative. These are my "go to" people for heating, air, and plumbing!
