Im new to the area. I been here in Springfield for about a month. Today 5/31/2016 was the first time I went to this post office (800 S Willow St Springfield TN) and I didnt know about the hours but, I found out today they close at 4 so it is understandable that employees want to leave or that management wont pay them more for over time but, neither of the couple of things I just mention is an excuse to disrespect people coming to the post office. My experience today really pissed me off because of what happened and the way it happened. I walked in and the post office guy named Joe Carlton came running to the door with his hand in front of him towards me as if trying to physically stop me from entering the building as if I was about to walk in and rob the place plus he just said loudly "We are closed" then turned around and shut the door on my face. Thats when I got pissed off so, I walked again and asked him for the USPS 800 customer service number and asked him for his name and then.... his bad attitude changed and by now the woman at the front asked me what I needed so she could help me right there. Both of this people dont deserve that job and neither does whoever manages that office as they are doing a terrible job when it comes to the people they are supposed to serve and work for, which is us.

They are sweet and honest people! BUT they do have things to work out like phone always busy only one person running the front desk. And they wont let the person get overtime. I was in line when a lady said they dont wont to give overtime and she had to be clock out at 230 and she had a line of people and she keep ringing the bell for help but nobody came to help until she clock out. They can do better on what they do better here. They have to realize they not the only people that need help!

I find the service at this Post Office to be efficient, helpful, and friendly, particularly in recent times. Never too long a line, except when to be expected, and it moves quickly. Home mail delivery out of this office is great and reliable. Drop boxes could be larger for packages. Note: This office closes promptly at 4p during the week.

Great post office! I sale on EBAY and all my packages are getting shipped on time.The people there are nice and friendly.Lobby could use a bigger drop off bin for small boxes,but good post office.

I have been calling this post office for two days trying to find my lost mail and only get a busy signal. It would be very unfortunate if I had to drive six hours just to speak to a postal worker.

Very friendly staff and short lines every time Ive been here. Only complaint is the internet says they are open until 4:30 M-F but they actually close at 4pm.
