Embarrassingly bad. Ill start with the good. The enviroment is great, very clean and orderly, the busboy should be the manager as he cleared the tables immediately and saw to it every pepper shaker was straight and was essentially the only person who knew how to do their job properly. Clearly the staff was ill equipped to handle a lunch rush hour (still plenty of seating). Our party ordered a couple salads and I had the blue cheeseburger. Once the food finally was ready, at exactly 50 minutes later, the disappointment fully set in. The burger was completely inedible, cold and wilted, dry and hard, it felt like it was made the day prior and then sat around to get to room temperature, shuffled onto a warm plate, and then finally served. If youre going to charge more than 10$ for a burger it is best to use fresh ingredients as well. (Wilted Spinach from last week and dry over cooked patties coupled with canned jalapenos are pathetic attempts at quality food outside of a backyard BBQ situation) The 2nd burger, which we had wrapped to go since the rest of the group had already finished their salads, was much better once I was finally able to eat it at home. Unfortuntely they used the same cold, limp lifeless sweet potatoe fries from my previous plate. The staff can only be likened to a ship that has lost its captain and the blind leading the blind in a high volume intense situation. Ive seen young managers perform very well but this place was litterally being run by children, the most senior employee (assistant manager?) was 23 at the eldest and clearly incapable of managing anything. I would eat here again if on a business trip at one of the office parks nearby in walking distance and thus stranded to go to anywhere else but here. Subway sandwhiches at least uses fresh ingredients, that are actually fresh. This establishment fails miserably, eat at your own peril. I wish someone had warned me prior to wasting our time and money here. Due to its convenient location however im sure their business wont struggle at all without having to makeany changes.

My wife and I checked this place out today. First, this isnt a sit down restaurant, its an "order at the counter, pick up at the counter when its done" kind of place. Other than that, though, its very much like a sit down restaurant with nice tables and booths, and a lounge area in the front by the window. I had the roast beef and my wife had the "Otis Otis Otis." The meat in my dish was a little dry, but the very obliging manager on duty brought me extra gravy, which made it very good. The smoked mushrooms and garlic potatoes accompanying the meal were also quite delicious, as was the asiago dressing I had with the salad. My wife enjoyed the "Otis." Soft drinks are also serve yourself. The dispenser is a computerized thing on which you can select anything available, including Coke with various flavor adds. The music playing was nice, though it appeared to be streaming on a computer and it would cut out every so often. That was a little annoying, but not terrible. There were also some televisions in the various dining areas showing sports. Desserts and a full bar are also available. All in all, this was a good place.

bwcs menu offers quite a variety of food. American, cajun, pasta choices. breakfast is served all day. they also have a gelato bar that the family can enjoy. covered outdoor seating is pleasant when there is a cool breeze or in the late hours of the evening. the food comes out pretty quickly. patrons order at the counter and are given a buzzer. the staff provides good service for the most part. we have got unlucky with servers having a bad day more than once but not often enough to ding the rating below 4 stars. child seats are provided but they are not clean most of the time. so make sure you have wet wipes. not sure why the staff doesnt handle keeping them clean b/c otherwise the tables and restaurant are kept clean. the cafe also has a bar and also serves coffee, oj and soft drinks. there are about 3 flavors of iced tea including a mango flavored one called tango mango. the restaurant is a bit on the pricey side but the experience is a pleasant one.

I have been patronizing this place since they opened. Food has always been decent (not great), but very convenient to River Place. Yesterday (12/04/15) I met a business associate for lunch and the place was packed. We ordered our food and had to sit at the bar. The attendant promptly told us rather rudely that those seats were for full service only and told us to sit outside. Since there was no other place to seat inside and 49 degrees outside, we decided to stay put. Had we not already ordered and paid for our food, we would have left the place immediately. Eating our meal was less than enjoyable with the rude jerk staring at us. When we finished and as we got up to leave he said to our face: "... Good. Maybe I can make some money" I bring business customers and my family to this place often. NEVER AGAIN! I will also make sure to spread the word around the four points area.

Food is always great but their service as in their management need to revisit how to deal with guests. Phoned order at 1130 for pick-up as I have done many times before...order should be ready in 15 min as stated by the staff. I show up 30 minutes later and was told it should only be a few minutes. An hour passes I ask the runner if he can check my order and he says ya I did already...turns out my manager who is running food accidentally gave your order away. The manager never apologized, or approached me to acknowledge the mistake. I call to say how upset I am and the managers response...well it is very busy here! Right okay.

We have loved Black walnut for a few years since they opened. We particularly love to come for dessert and coffee in the evening. They have the best carrot cake in town! However, the large slices of cake they used to serve have been nearly cut in half. For $7 a slice, I expect to get my monies worth! We visited last night and the slice was barely enough for my husband and I to split. It may sound petty, but if you charge that much for a slice of cake, the serving size should match. This did not used to be a problem, but the last 2 times it has been very disappointing. We will be getting our dessert and coffee elsewhere.

I actually havent loved the food Ive gotten here but the people Ive gone with love the Black Walnut salad and the BBQ Salmon. Ive gotten the French dip sandwich, but instead of an au jus the sandwich was covered in this strange cream gravy (?) so it didnt satisfy the craving I thought it would. I also ordered the toasted ravioli, expecting it to be not fried (for some reason) but it was and just ok. The garlic bread was great though. I also thought the southwest egg rolls were mostly just so-so but I should go back and try the other dishes. Nice location.

Wonderful food. Everything on the menu is FANTASTIC. Chicken tenders are to die for, as well as well as their burgers. Definitely give it a visit. Wouldnt be a review if I didnt point out anything that I find annoying, though. There is no table service, and you pay (and tip) up front. Order, pay, find a table, and wait for your buzzer to give you a heart attack. Then go grab your food and come back to eat. Refill your own drinks. I know its not the only resteraunt that does this, but it doesnt feel quite right here.
