First off I want to note that the name is deceiving. TGF is not a Salon as that title usually represents professional quality cuts, color and styling. Also that this review is regarding mens cuts, I obviously have no idea on the quality of womens cuts, except the fact that I dont know any woman who gets her hair cut there. The biggest issue I have with TGF is the lack of consistency, there is an extremely high employee turnover rate here which makes me think the hiring policies are lax and its just a place for hairstylists to get fodder for their resume. Im not actually sure if you even need a cosmetology license/certificate to work here. Pros: - Convenient location for Four Points area - Ample parking - Located in shopping center making it easy to check off a haircut as you run errands - Low-mid grade cuts, best for kids who arent picky and adults with short or shaved hair. - No appointment necessary Cons: - High employee turnover means connections with stylists will likely cease after a few months, would be hard to find a long term stylist - Mens cut is $20, better cuts can be had for 25% less - Staff is not always the most presentable or professional of the bunch, this is an entry-level store for stylists As a college student I attempted to make a switch from Finleys Barbershop to TGF to save an extra $10. Even though Finleys includes shampoo, massage, eyebrow waxing, straight razor neck shave, and a free cleanup in between cuts with the $30 price, where as TGF you get just the haircut. But only going here makes me want to invest more in my hair. Today my hair was cut by a stylist who BARELY spoke English. She also could not help me select a clipper guard length to match my style and she had no idea where to start even though I showed her the length I desired. Additionally whenever I made a comment or suggestion she asked me a question in SPANISH. I mean Cmon I dont expect you to know English fluently but if you work at a hair place in the US I think its reasonable to know fluent English as it relates to haircuts. This lead to the worst haircut I have ever had, I actually had to fix it on my own at home. My advice, go to Finleys or a specialty mens barbershop if you can muster up the dough, itll be worth it trust me, if not go to a sports clips or other chain shop.

I was in great need of a hair color and was hesitant for a while to get my hair colored at TGF. But their website promised great results with talented professionals. I had Jodie to do a cut an color. Big mistake. She colored my hair which left my hair brow all over except my roots that came out a rusty orange. I figured I give her a break, at first it was not to big of a deal, more wasting my time than anything. Then she tries it again and it comes out the same. Another 30 minutes wasted. Then she cuts my hair and pretty much butchers it. Now I know that curly hair can be tricky, but before I came in I expressed to them that I have curly hair and would like some one with a good deal of experience with curly hair. The girl over the phone, who by the way seemed like she was in an hurry and was trying to get me off the phone asap, said "oh you will be in good hands." I wasnt. Jodie was nice enough but she smelled like smoke so bad. Every time her arms or hands were near my head I got such a bad whiff of her smoke scent. It really was very unprofessional. This was Sunday and she offerred to do it one more time, but it was already 5, closing time and I was tired of sitting. A co-stylist came over and the talked about my hair and commented that this has never happened before. I was not buying it. So instead of apologizing and say she would get me in tomorrow, she said what about tuesday. Are you kidding me? So I definitely will not be going back. Then I called to speak with a manager today. The girl was polite and said she wont be in till tomorrow. I asked when, and she said at 12:30 but "she will be busy and wont have time to talk". Really, is this the best customer service that you have. I would not recommed.

First off I would like to note I never leave bad reviews, but this one merits it. This was by in far the worst experience at a salon I have ever had. I was in a rush and this place was right next to my house, so I took a chance. I went in to get my bangs trimmed, simple enough. The stylist CUT MY BANGS PAST MY EARS, she gave me a mullet. It was so awful I had to go get extensions to cover up what she had done. Dont go here . . .

This salon is amazing. I started going here because it was close to my house and my work. So I took a chance. And the results are amazing. This is now my salon, I will always go here. The stylists are friendly and amazing. Make sure to ask for Bonnie, she is quirky, fun, funny, and imaginative. She will never let you down with styling your hair. And she will always make you feel right at home and like your part of the family.

Complete and total crap. Worst customer service ever. Had my appointment given away three different times,. Rude girl who was working refused to give me managers name, or even the name/number of anyone who I could speak to. Loved my old stylist, and that entire crew.... But apparently they dredged the scummiest people they could find, to replace them. So very disappointed.

I love going to TGF my stylist is Jodi but i have gone to a couple of the other girlz too for my blowdry/style. I love the way she colors and cuts my hair no one has gotten it right but her and she always makes me feel welcome and accomodated ! I like to call her my hairygod mother !!

It is a horrible horrible salon. They provided me an uneven hair cut. It happened twice. And because of the uneven hair cut I had to cut my hair very short. It seems like all of the people who work their have no experience with hair cut.

My wife and I have been going here for quite a while and we get excellent service and great haircuts. We work with Michelle and she gives us expensive salon quality styles for very reasonable rates. Highly recommended.

HORRIBLE!!! do not go here! i asked one of the ladies for a trim and she cut off 5 inches!! she was talking to an other employee the whole time while she was cutting my hair and not even paying attention!

The girl who cut my hair was not friendly , asking her questions about the products and getting answers was like pulling teeth.The hair cut she gave me was horrible I will never go back there
