My car was hit in a parking lot, which left it with a cracked rear bumper. I took it to Whitakers based on the good reviews on citysearch. I also had a broken fog light and some road damage to the front hood and bumper, so I put in a second claim for that, thinking it would be an easy fix while it was there. Joe said it would take a week to complete all of the work. They had my car for 3 weeks! I kept calling to find out the status of my car, and no one would answer the phone or return my calls. When I finally did talk to someone, it was a paint tech who said my car was being painted that afternoon (week 2). Three days later I called, they didnt call me, and was told that they had trouble painting the hood because of prior body work done to it. There has never been any previous body work done to the hood!!! I should know, Ive owned it since it rolled off the transport truck brand new. Also, they forgot to order some parts, which he only realized as I was talking to him! Finally, after calling everyday into the third week, they said I could pick up the car. When I got there, the car was in the lot, so I took a look at it. The front bumper was misaligned. One side had a gap so big between the headlight and the bumper that I could stick my thumb sideways in it!! When Joe came out to talk to me, I showed it to him. He tried to argue with me about it, saying it must have always been like that because they put the same bumper back on after painting it. After several minutes of debating, he finally took the car back in for another hour and had a tech remove the bumper and rehang it. They had missed hanging it on 2 clips. Bottom line...Will not call you about problems or mistakes they make, or return calls...make up lame stories and excuses about problems instead of telling the truth about not ordering parts...Never returns calls and argues with you about workmanship. Only plus...the paint job turned out to be very good. If they had been honest with me and kept me updated, I would not have been upset about the extra time it took. Would not recommend this shop.

Last week I was accidentally hit in my 2012 Fiat 500C from behind while at a stop sign in OH. The person who hit me insurance company asked for me to 1st go to Whitaker to get an estimate and then I could take my car to any body shop of my choice. I was very concerned because of the Fiat being a newer model car; what about parts would they do a good job with a car that they may not have had as much experience fixing? I brought it over to their shop and the folks could not have been nicer. Service rep Kyle looked over the car told me what he would do if there were more damage underneath after he took the bumper off and that they would take care of it. He asked me if I wanted to leave it. OMGosh I was really hesitant to be honest. However I did not know at that time they have a “Lifetime Warranty”! That is a little insane all on its own merit. Ended up leaving it that day and what an excellent decision that was!! They ordered my rental car and I was picked up in a matter of a few minutes. The car was ready in the 3 days he promised. When I picked it up it was spotless and beautiful. They had detailed my little car added the pin striping I had been wanting for sometime what an excellent job. And the repair well, you could not tell at all that the car had ever been hit. I am very fussy when it comes to my car or most things to be quite honest and they did an incredible job!! Hope I don’t have the need for a body shop too often, but I know for sure that Whitakers will be my 1st and only choice going forward. I plan on checking to see if they do regular maintenance also. The Fiat dealer is way north and I am way south. Will let you know how that works out. These folks really have a Wow & Trust factor that is not very common in many businesses these days. My brand new Silverado unfortunately got backed up into while I was camping and I had to decide where to take my vehicle. I typically have always taken my vehicles to a shop up north but considering Im south now, I was looking for a new place. My insurance company originally suggested a national chain in town that I have had a bad experience with and has a not so great reputation. I called that national chain and they told me it would be a week before I could even take it in. I asked for a another recommendation from my insurance company and they mentioned Whitakers. I had heard of them before but never used them. Let me tell you, I could not be more impressed. They got me in the next day and my vehicle was ready earlier than expected later that week! Jose, the font desk person and Kyle were incredibly friendly and helpful. The level of communication and updates was also top notch. My vehicle was damaged on the front drivers side quarter panel, right on a body line. That is a very difficult repair to make look brand new. The results were incredible. I have a very discerning eye when it comes to body work as some of my relatives are in the trade. I couldnt detect any imperfection, no crease, or inconsistency in the panel or paint job. Perfect paint match. They also stressed the lifetime warranty of their repairs a few times and that if I ever had any problems to just give them a call. Where they really went above and beyond is that a week or so later, the owner called me to follow up on how everything went? Just...wow! Customer for life.

I recently has glass work done with Whitakers, whole back windshield was blown out, and despite the fact that having to have work done on your car is never fun, the people at Whitakers were tremendously helpful, courteous, and most importantly(for me) honest -with how they approached and dealt with the situation. The price i paid them was a fraction of what it would have been had i gone to dealership, whose estimate i DID get beforehand and nearly fainted. Manuel (the manager?) helped me, and he was great. I have nothing but great things to say about him, as well as the receptionist and the workers- who replaced a VERY nasty bit of glass damage in a timely and professional manner. They even cleaned/detailed my car for me, which i didnt expect, and was not to my knowledge billed for. They have great rates for all services - my whole family have been there for one reason or another, and have all drove away happy. Afterwards, Larry Whitaker, the owner, called me to follow up and make sure i was happy with the results, which was also quite unexpected, but very kind. He assured me of a lifetime warranty on their work, which was nice, but regardless if any issues come up in the future i will absolutely return to Whitakers warranty or not. You can not buy honesty like they provide in the auto industry and for that, I can not recommend them enough! 10/10 for service, cost, and hospitality. Thank you Whitakers staff!! - Justin Prince
