NOT service oriented, poor quality of work, unreliable, and no value for their clients time. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. I have now used Whitakers on two separate incidents. The first time repair resulted in low quality work of which I had to return the vehicle 3 times for them to correct items that were not properly repaired while the vehicle was in their care. Steve the owner did initially handle the issues in a service oriented manner, and that is why I chose to give them another chance to make a second repair on my vehicle. This was where I made a mistake. They promised my vehicle to be completed within four days and after the fifth day and no call from the shop, I contacted them on a Friday to see what the status was. I was told that they thought the work was completed and that they would call me right back. I did not hear back from them so I decided to call them again on Monday. During my call on Monday they informed me that the vehicle would not be ready until Weds of the following week it was promised...almost a week later than originally promised. After speaking with Carlos, the shop manager, I was told that it would be ready by Weds evening and to come by to pick it up. When I arrived on Weds, they were still sanding and working on the paint and I was told to come back tomorrow to pick it up. I finally picked up my vehicle a full week later than promised and was not notified about the delays and Carlos and Steve did not seem to care about the poor customer service that I had received. Now, a week after I picked up the vehicle I realized that I have a water leak where they replaced gaskets they damaged during the original repair, areas where they failed to properly paint, and a new noise when my window rolls up/down. I wanted to use a local company and give them an opportunity to correct their first time mishaps (because I understand things happen); however, this backfired against me and I would say that I am a completely dissatisfied customer and will not use or recommend this group again.

I had the best experience ever at Whitakers recently. I had already received my insurance check and was free to select my own repair shop. Never having needed a repair shop in the time I have lived in Austin, I googled it and their name popped up. I did a bit of checking them out and everyone said they were really good. Getting into the parking lot was a challenge because they were so busy, but that was a good sign! Upon entering their office, they immediately greeted me and reviewed my paperwork and were very accommodating with my schedule and getting me on the calendar immediately. Arranging for a rental car and tending to all of the details. After my car was in the shop and the bumber taken off they discovered hidden damage and called me immediately and handled the entire matter with the insurance company. It resulted in an extension of the repair time but it was of no inconvenience to me and when I picked up my car, WOW! it was amazing.....just outstanding detail and with a pearlized paint finish I was nervous about how it would turn out. It was beautiful and the car was cleaned as well! Just the best service I could ask for. They are the best!

In June, 2016 we relocated to Lakeway and had our car shipped here. It was dinged badly on the roof top and scratched horribly on the underside of the front bumper when the driver took it off the truck. LUCKY for us Whitakers was referred to us by Lexus!!! Shane did an amazing job, went above and beyond fixing some minor dings I also wanted to get rid of & when I got my car back it looked and smelled new! In fact, it was if I had it detailed. And if that wasnt amazing enough, Shane even installed my new Texas license plate on the front of my car. And then Larry, the owner, called me personally to see how everything went. Now THAT is amazing service!!! Its too bad we only use auto body companies when theres a problem, but if we ever do have any other dents or dings, or my friends do, theres only ONE place I will go to or send them to... Whitakers!!!

I clipped a post at a gas station and wiped out the side of my truck. I was referred to Whitakers Auto Body and Paint. The work they did was amazing! I was super impressed with not only their work but how professional and helpful they were. They went above and beyond to keep me posted as to what they were fixing on my car. About two weeks after I got my truck back, I got a follow up call from the owner himself making sure that I was satisfied with the job they did. I told them I couldnt be happier. My truck is my baby and they fixed her perfectly. The truck looked almost brand new when I went to pick it up. I highly recommend using them if you have any body work that needs repair. If anything should ever happen to my truck again I will definitely be coming to this place. Five stars all the way. Here is a pic below to show what a wonderful job they did!!!

I had not used Whitakers Auto Body before but Nationwide Insurance referred me to them and I knew of their name and location so I thought I would give them a try. They were great, coordinated with the insurance company and the rent car place my service. Called within the 3 days promised. When I went to get my car, something had happened and there was a scratch on the brand new piece. Carlos was horrified and immediately said it would be taken care of ASAP and that they would pick up the rent car fee and take me back to get it. He apologized all over the place. In another day and a half it was completely fixed and I was on my way. The sign of a good business if how they act when things dont go right, without hesitation Carlos said he would get it fixed and he did and I never had to open my mouth or pay a cent. Bravo! Great job!

Ive never been in an accident and never needed to use a body shop. I found Whitakers and saw the great reviews and decided to take my car there. Im glad I did, I spent 10 years appraising cars and scrutinizing other body shops paintwork/repairs on 10s of thousands of vehicles. So I was very concerned I would fall victim to poor repairs. They managed to get me my car back well under the original time frame and it looks great. My car is dark gray and hard to color match and they did it flawlessly. I have found no flaws and given the fact that both quarter panels needed repairs all door gaps are factory perfect. Im very impressed by their work and the professionalism of their staff. Even received a call from the owner following up with the repairs. If you need anything paint or body related, use Whitakers. You cant lose!

After I backed my car into a pole, the rear cargo door was totally smashed near the license plate and spare tire cover. In addition to this, a subwoofer inside the back door was also damaged. Whitakers was great during the estimate and repair process. Living in Lakeway, I was excited to see great reviews for Whitakers since it is so close and Im a fan of family-owned companies. They were able to take the car immediately after I setup a claim with my insurance company and delivered within the amount of time promised. Ive been very happy with the repairs to the body and to the speaker system. I liked them so much I came back 2 weeks later simply to have them replace some dim bulbs for my headlamps. Any work (fender bender or otherwise) that I need done, Ill certainly come back again!
