My son walked out with a bald spot! --I took my 6-year-old son for a "high and tight," and he came out with a small, bloody nick on his ear from the clippers, and the hairdresser had trimmed his eyebrows without asking either me or my son--which hurt his feelings, because hes proud of his somewhat wild eyebrows. I gave them the benefit of the doubt--mistakes and oversights happen--and I tried them again. He, once more, went in for a "high and tight." Because I was wrangling my overtired 3-year-old son, I didnt notice until I got home that my 6-year-old had a golf ball sized shaved spot right on top of his head that went all the way down to his scalp. He told me it really hurt when the lady cut his hair. Seeing how far that shaved donkey bite went, I can imagine it did hurt! I called the store immediately, and the manager promised me a full refund. When I returned to the store the next day, the manager on duty offered me a coupon for a free haircut, but no refund, and told me that their hairdresser said my son had a rash on his head, and thats why there was a bald spot there. I noted that it was funny that Id been washing, combing, gelling, and otherwise manipulating his hair everyday, including that day, and that bald spot had never been there before. And, if it was there, the hairdresser should have alerted me when she was doing the cut. I pressed for the refund and refused the coupon; theres no way Im letting anyone in my family go there again. The manager called the owner, and they gave me an $11 refund for the cut but not for the $5 tip, saying their system didnt have a mechanism for allowing them to refund tips. I asked if I could get the owners name so that I could write a letter to Great Clips Corporate Headquarters explaining the situation and my frustration with their systems inability to refund tips, especially for jobs where the customer is not only forced to walk around with an obvious bald spot but was also hurt in the process. All of the sudden, the owner figured out a work around, and I got my tip back as well. All in all, they made it right financially, but I still wont go back.

Went in for a trim with a photo of the haircut I have..show length and detail of the strands ... But my shoulder hair lenght hair got cut off like 6 inches off...when I told her that the picture doesnt show that short cut she wanted to leave the other side in touch and I could use it asymmetrical... But thats not my hair style.and that was not what I came in for..went home..was so upset in tears and vomit from the tragic experience I had with them ...washed my hair and tried to styled it. .my husband said you need to go back and have them fix it .one side is really short ..and the other side is to long...so I did...shorter was the only way to go...now I have to adjust to a total different hair style, now really depress, and low self esteem... Would never recommend anyone to this place...owner called two weeks later and asked to fix it....no fixing... I have a short man haircut. The only way to fix it is to shave of my head.

I usually go here and they do decent but yesterday afternoon I went and explained my simple high and tight like always and leave the bangs first thing she did (third or fourth chair on the right) was take out half of my bangs. Then insult to injury charged me full price. So dont go here unless you want to pay full price for a screwed up hairstyle of their choosing. I usually come in every 2-3 weeks , this is going to take a month of wearing a hat until it gets back to normal so I can have a real barber fix it. I honestly dont know if Ill go back I 100% know I will never let that idiot lady ever touch my hair again. What I get is in the computer and she asked me yet still can not follow direction. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Bad. I registered ahead on line but the cashier couldnt find my name in their computer. Ive cut my hair twice at this location. It seemed it was more important to make sure my name and adress was on the computer. I told them I just want a hair cut with Isabel who was standing there waiting for me to pass Security at the register. Thought I had found my perfect hair salon. I guess not. Dont register on line it will slow you down. I went to sport clips across the street. Smooth & no problem. Gonna miss Isabel, shes great.

Called today to see if Kathleen was in. Lady who answered phone changed tone to rude and informed me she no longer worked there and hung up on me. Had boyfriend go by to see if could tell me where she was now or if they could call her and give her my number. The guy there just laughed and said ya if I even call her.

Great atmosphere, Great staff very friendly I walked in with some photos of a haircut I wanted sidecut she did it exactly how I wanted it. Overall 5 stars :) Only thing was she didnt comb or blow dry my hair but I think she did it because she thought I liked it but I still give it 5.

I have been getting my and my daughters haircut here since they opened and I have never been disappointed. I think they are by far the best place in Bulverde to get a haircut, and you cant beat their prices!

Usually I have a good experience here, they only cut what I tell them but recently I went and one of the girls cut it wayyyy shorter than I wanted. One bad experience is enough for me, I wont be returning.

Location is always packed, download the app to jump in line quicker. Expect a few nasty looks from the other people who dont know or use the app. But you can get in and out quickly than.
