My experience with this company was less than desirable. It started off with someone calling and leaving a voicemail to schedule a move. This was on a Tuesday. When I called back to schedule the move, on the same day, I asked for the person that left the message. I was told that person had already left for the day, and that I would need to call back. Unfortunately, they dont take messages and expect their customers to follow-up themselves, very inconvenient and unprofessional. By Friday of that week, I went to the store that recommended this company to express my concern. The store immediately called the moving company and scheduled everything right in front of me. At that point, I was willing to overlook the inconvenience of getting the move scheduled, and go forward with a new start. However, the day the movers were to arrive, they did not call 30 minutes prior to arrival, they just arrived unannounced and late! To add insult to injury, the movers seemed pressed for time and were not careful. As a result, they damaged a wall and woodwork in my house. There response was to file a claim. Wow! There was no sympathy toward the situation or apology. Once again, they put the burden on the customer, instead of following-up on their own. Customer service is not this companys passion. Moreover, they told me they would wrap the three pieces I had them move once they were in the truck. Well, it was raining that day (Sunday, August 13th, 2017), so a lot of good it did to wrap everything once it was in the truck. I cant imagine moving a whole house with this company. I only had them move three pieces to a consignment store. Unfortunately, this company doesnt even respect their client that recommended them (Home Consignment Center, McKinney).

This was the worst moving company I have ever used. Beware! They have good sales people and the estimater is very good but from then on it has ben a nightmare! They ran over the mailbox at the home we sold and destroyed it. They dropped a bed frame while carrying it down stairs and put a hole through the wall. They indicated that the truck would be at our new home in 5-7 days and it didnt even leave for 5 days and then was a 4 day drive. They charged me an extra $1700 for reloading into a u-haul because the driver said he couldnt get the van into my street even thought the neighbors said they have had large moving vans into the street. He delivered the first load at 12:30 and they finsished about 7 pm. Guess he needed the extra $$$ to pay for the $450 ticket he was issued when entering Washington state when he didnt have required permits. They lost several of our belongings and damaged and broke furniture. They also disassembled our electronic piano and lost the power cord and assembled it incorrectly because of lost parts. They lost my 24 ft ladder. All the driver (who was wearing pajamas) could talk about was how he needed to get going and make his next delivery. I could go on some more but I think you get the picture. When I called the management to express my displeasure I was told to submit a claim form and they will deal with it sometime in the next 90 days. I am 55 years old and have made several corporate moves over the years and this company was the WORST by far! I have given them several opportunities to make it right and they just dont care. I will post again and let you know how it finally turns out after going through all of their claims process.. URRGH!

I dont recall ever having written a review for a company before now, but Im happy to do this one! From the beginning, dealing with Hollie for a quote was a pleasure. Her flexibility and willingness to accommodate our needs was refreshing and there was no problem at all when we needed to reschedule (almost at the last minute)! The quote was very reasonable (seemingly low in fact) and a had I not underestimated how much "junk" I had accumulated over two years in a two bedroom apt., I have no doubt the move would have come in right at quote. As it turned out, it took the guys a little longer than initially projected, but it wasnt for their lack of trying. They worked very steadily, did not drag their feet, were very careful with all my belongings, and had to be forced (by myself) to stop for a minute to drink some water!! As for the guys doing the moving (Joseph, Jorge, and Chris), three nicer, more easy-going, good-natured, truly conscientious guys you will not find! We had so much fun with them (yes, they actually made the move fun!!), and their ability to maintain such a great sense of humor while moving a lot of really heavy stuff in some serious heat was very impressive! They did not leave until we had everything exactly where we wanted it, even if they had to move it from the place we initially had them put it! I knew by the end of the move I would be writing a glowing review for the company and the guys, and told the guys Id even mention that the heavier the item they moved - the sexier they looked (just to embarrass them)!! Seriously, the entire experience was fantastic and we will definitely use them again for our next move.

I moved from Dallas, Texas to Raleigh, North Carolina. Mine was a small move, I lived in a 650 square foot one bedroom apartment. Having said that, this was a truly excellent move. I read extensive reviews online and picked Element based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews. The reviews were so outstanding that I was afraid it sounded too good to be true. But honestly, the reviews were true. Every person I worked with at Element were helpful, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. Hollie is an exceptional sales person, Scott was a great estimator, the guys who packed my stuff (three Mexican gentleman, sadly I forgot their names) were the best packers I have met (I have moved 12 times in the last 10 years, so I know) and the two guys who arrived to unload at Raleigh were also careful and professional. The guys who arrived in Raleigh were however not employees of Element, they were contractors who drove the 18 wheeler. Also another important part is, they gave me a binding estimate after a in-home estimate. I did not spend one penny more than what was on the binding estimate. Initially while doing the estimate, Element did a price match for me, because I got a contract from another reputed moving company that cost about $400 cheaper. So Element matched their price. My stuff got to Raleigh exactly 1 week after we loaded it in Dallas. In every step of the way, they were always on time. The estimator was on time, the packing guys were on time, and the delivery guys were on time. This is rare to find! Overall, excellent service, value for the money. I am so glad I went with Element!

ISSUES - Element Moving -- parts (screws/bolts/washers) for different pieces of furniture all mixed up in one bag (not even itemized) -- desk: missing ALL parts (screws, bolts, etc). -- 3-table set: bolts (5), long screw (1), several washers missing -- needed to supervise movers on which parts (legs etc) go into which pieces of furniture (nothing was itemized or bundled together - pieces of furniture were mixed up in different blanket bundles). (what if i wasnt home to supervise?) -- instructions on assembly had to be provided (if i had not saved the original printed instructions, wed be in a lot of trouble) -- we got random parts of other peoples furniture, which is extremely concerning. (black tabletop + 4 brown table legs) -- initially missing all screws for dining room table. - found: was screwed into another persons furnitures legs. (how did this happen?) -- lack of tools: I had to provide power drill to speed up process --Engagement Tiffany glasses and standing lamp broken from the move- submitted for reimbursement and never got reimbursed -- 3 boxes completely busted open with our belonging hanging out when received. Element moving didnt even bother taping up the bust //// -- mover mentioned (both kyle (today) and ron (3+ weeks ago)) that whoever did the inventory and packing in dallas completely messed up. -- breach of contract on delivery date - 8 days late. -- was promised that movers would head down wednesday, but didnt do so until thursday (12/1). kyle said another big job scheduled ? what happened? -- took 1/2 day off of work to supervise the assembly of furniture
