Outstanding! Low Repair Costs! Prompt and Professional Service! I wouldnt take my car anywhere else. Ladies & gentleman, especially the ladies, you can be confident you will NOT be ripped off here. I have been here 4 times in 2 years and they always been extremely professional, thorough, and prompt. My first experience with Alternative was for an air conditioner problem. Auto Zone & Firestone, both quoted me over $400.00 for repairs and a min of 2day turn-around. Alternative Auto repaired it within 4 hours and I paid a little over $100.00. They always fit my car into their schedule and their quotes for repairs ARE ALWAYS less than any other automotive places Ive called in the Dallas and Irving areas. I would highly recommend Alternative Automotive to anyone who has a major or minor car maintenance or repair.

These guys were great - cant say enough about them! Ok I had a flat tire. Now Ive gone to NTB and Discount tire for 10 years- they ALWAYS make me replace tires when I come in with a flat and I end up doing both the fronts or both the backs and spend like 5-600 dollars because my tires are so expensive, These guys got me in IMMEDIATELY and checked my tire - found a nail - took it out and had me on my way--- for 15 bucks!!!!!!! Super honest and straightforward. I felt I could trust them. Brought another car in for oil change and saved huge dollars over doing it at the dealer!!! Thanks guys!!!

It might be true they have competitive pricing, but totally avoid this place if you get into an accident. They were quite happy to get the money from the insurance company for towing and storage, but did not even have a look at what was wrong with my car even though i asked them multiple times. I also asked them twice if they could remove my license plates, they said it was not a problem at all and they did not remove my license plates. I totally felt like they were taking advantage of my situation. I will give two stars instead of one just because they were quick at towing my car.

After calling many other shops close by for a replacement of busted radiator these guys quoted me a price $300 cheaper than lowest other place. I didnt expect much because vehicle is over 200,000 miles. I left van with them at 5:30pm (think they close at 7 pm) and it was ready that day! I asked them to replace radiator, electronic fans, and install a new battery. Figured might as will since they were cheaper than everyone else. All done quickly and excellent price! Owner even picked me up to get my vehicle. Did two oil changes for me the next week. I found my repair shop!

Not sure if the manager left but hadnt been there for a couple of years went Thursday afternoon and had a list of items on my 2002 Explorer. The guy was not really listening and I was frustrated so I left. Hoping the guys that used to be there the next day I brought the car back Friday for the rest of my list. 1pm Saturday I had to call them to check what the status was. After deciding what to do they cant get to me till Monday. Of course I have to work and need my car so ...disappointed seems like there was some sort of regime change. Have to find a new shop.

I was very disappointed with the way I was managed. Based in the reviews and referral, I really thought this was going to be a great experience. They quoted me a price 3xs hire then 5 other mechanics. Worst off, when I called it was told the 100 diagnostic fee would apply towards service. It was not and the lady who told me that just kept talking about how she was giving me a deal. I ended up paying twice the tow costs just to go to another mechanic and still saved 800$ very disappointing but maybe they thought my insurance was paying.

Owner is rude as hell. I pulled in for service and waited to be guided in like most places. The owner pulled up behind me an blew like a maniac I couldnt see him. One if his nicer employees guided me in. When I verified that was the owner I decided to leave. When the employee told the owner that I didnt like how blew at me he shrugged his shoulders. To some this might not be a deal breaker but for me if you dont care about a customer I dont trust you with my vehicle mehanic shops can be gamble anyway.

These guys are very efficient and do good work. I went to another shop first with a flat tire and was told I needed a whole new tire, but I was pretty sure all I needed was a patch and plug. These guys agreed and, despite me showing up on a busy Saturday afternoon, had me in and out in 10 minutes. Also they have a very friendly orange tabby cat in the waiting area, so thats a plus.

I was having car trouble on be way to work and they were able to work me in and had my car ready to go in under an hour. It is always scary being at the mercy of a mechanic that you do not know (I do not live in this area) but the service here was very quick and the people were friendly. The lobby has wifi and a very friendly cat. LOL. I am very grateful for their help

Before last week I had gone there for a few oil changes and its always a speedy process and they are really nice. I had a giant bolt stuck in my tire and it was 10 minutes till closing. I called and asked if they would stick around and fix it (I was a mile away) and they did! They didnt even act annoyed. They quickly took care of it and it was a mere $15.

Incredibly great business. We have been using this company for more years than I can recall. They have serviced three of our cars. Prices are always fair, service is excellent, turnaround it great. They just helped my daughter who was stranded, and bend over backwards to take care of us. Highly recommend.

Fantastic, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. They are great at getting to your vehicle quickly without an appointment. They saved me roughly $1000 in tires, after Land Rover recommended a brand that costs twice as much. Dont waste your time and $ at chains. This place is the real deal.

I used this place for the first time today. They were very quick with servicing my 228,972 mile Toyota Camry Hybrid. Great customer service without an appointment. I particularly liked that they didnt try to upsell me on services I didnt need. Fair and honest. GREAT shop.

I needed a radiator replaced, was given a price that was 40% less than what others were changing. I dropped the car off at 2pm and it was ready by 5pm, the same day. Fast, friendly, and will save you money. I will use these guys for ALL of my future repairs.

I paid for a flat repair and I got a quick fix. The piece that caused the flat was still in my tire. They refused to give me my money back unless im back in town. Im 312 hours away. I asked to refund my card and would not do so.
