The food was great and the people were very nice. There were several issues I had during my lunch experience: 1) They were out of white meat when I ordered and still out when I ordered some churros after my meal. 2) The credit card machine didt work when I ordered, so I was told to pay when I get my meal. When that happened, the machine was still inoperable, so I was told I can pay when I finish eating. 3) When I get my meal, the corn tortilla package had not been correctly sealed, so they were hard and cold when I got them 4) When I attempted to pay for my meal (and wait in line again), I tried explaining to the cashier that the credit card machine was malfunctioning earlier, I already had my meal and wanted to pay for it along with getting an order of churros. I must have confused her because she only charged me for the churros. I love this place when I lived in Arizona and really was excited when I found out they were coming to the Dallas area. I had great experiences at the Allen location, but I think this location has some bugs to work out. Hopefully that gets fixed.

This was my first time to this chain. My first thought as I scanned the interior was, "They need to take the word Authentic off that sign outside." But theres a place for Americanized foods of every type, so I was ready to try it anyway. Well, it didnt suck. I had two types of tacos, and they were OK. The charro beans were better than I was expecting at that point, and the salsa bar, while clean and fresh, was clearly for northern palates. What I didnt have was the grilled chicken, their signature item. Perhaps that would have redeemed a star.Overall, the food was serviceable if not delicious, making me feel the price point was too high, as others have reported. Order service was friendly and professional, but it seemed I waited longer than necessary for my food. A good solid average.

Wonderful service! I am always happy with a restaurant, especially fast food, when employees cross the counter and engage with patrons asking if they are enjoying their visit and if they need anything. That fact alone brought my review from three to four stars but, the missing fifth star fell with regard to value. While the food was satisfying it didnt merit the cost. For the eight dollars bowl I ordered I received a scoop of beams, rice, and what amounted to less then the meat of a chicken breast. I could have spent the same amount at a true sit down Mexican restaurant and had a full service meal.

I ordered a 2 PC meal and the chicken was cold & dry!! The pieces of chicken (thigh & leg) were super small, a wing had more meat then the thigh and leg put together. My tortillas were cold and hard around the edges. I also had a order of "Charro Beans" these are not Charro Beans. The beans are just regular cooked beans. When I arrived around 4pm, they were not busy but the dining room was dirty and messy!! I just took a bite of the food and ended up throwing it away and now Im going to Pollo Regio!!

It was really good except they did not say the beans were spicy and so I got the double Chicken avocado and there were beans in it and of course I didnt know the beans were spicy so I still eat it because I didnt want to waste or bye anything new. They should of at least told me the beans were spicy so then I would of not gotten that and got something else.the people are nice. Everything else was I good. I would go there again and if u like spicy stuff then u will like the food there!

They are not like the ones in cali, i made a mistake ordering food, and the staff was rude and loud letting me know that they dont serve what i ordered, that i requested from the Menu(the one i remembered from California) instead of being polite about it they made rude comments saying. "Wtf was that!?" Not giving them my service agine. It was the black female that was baging the orders who was loud and rude. I will not ne going back to that establishment.

Poor service manager was very rude i seen them sweeping the lobby while people where dining i seen a cook drop a whole chicken on the floor pick it up an put it back on the grill bad place to dine didnt enjoy the food at all. Put in a application was hired an fired befor i even started thumbs down try el regios its way better service an food can take it back to California if all i care dont even try it its not worth your money

The young man that took my order through the drive through was very nice, but when you drive up, the kids are playing and talking loud, and beans was nothing but juice, and a teaspoon of beans, will not re-visit this place again on the weekends...maybe during the week, when you have more mature people working..no salsa, only one kind of soup..shrimp tacos were cold...and Im in the media...not a good look

Worst food ever! Ordered our food and when we got home we were missing salsa and churro beans. To top it off the food was COLD! The prices are rediculous. The chicken was over cooked! Never again will I go back. The service was horrible the lady rushed us out of the drive through. Should have know better, there was only three cars there. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone!

Guy at window was nice but there was nooo Pico left what so ever not even any salsa.. so I had to eat dry tacos... chicken corn chowder bowl was half full and it was more a paste there was nothing chowder or soup about it... I damn near could swallow any of my food. Im here on the regular and this was not the best night

Nice looking place, nice cashier at the front counter, but the food is horrible!I order Chicken Tacos al Carbon, the tortilla was cold and I had to take it back to the kitchen..Thy didnt apologize, nothing. I hope the other locations are better that this location.

Its a hit and miss with me. My first visit was ok. But my second visit consisted of cold and dry quesadillas. When I asked for some sour cream to "freshen" it up a bit the manager made a big deal about charging me for it. Like really? .54? Please...

Good food, but dont expect real Mexican food lol. I heard some non Latinos walking out saying "That tasted so authentic!" That definitely made me LOL. But with that said the food was pretty good for what it was, Id recommend a quick lunch here.

I love ell pollo loco the food is good and the staff is friendly and they have really nice cashiers I went there this past Sunday at 11:30 and my family and I really enjoyed the food . I really appreciated the help that I got from the cashier

OMG! Im going crazy for my El polo Loco! Great atmosphere, great price, and friendly staff in this location. I give it 4 stars out of 5 because its almost perfect. You gotta have room for improvements no matter what. I recommend this place.
