This place is really hit or miss on the nail technicians. I have previously left a glowing review of this place back in October/November of 2015. Veronica was my nail technician and she was AMAZING! She could do crazy things with nails and they always looked awesome... like something you would see posted on instagram by a popular nail artist - that type of thing. Veronica is no longer with Pink Toes. I took a few months off from getting my nails done and when I started going back early last month, I was really disappointed all around. The front desk lady (I dont remember her name) was rude when my reservation got messed up. I specifically booked a mani/pedi, but was informed when I got there they didnt have anyone who could do them at the same time so if I wanted that service it would have to be one after the other. I didnt LOVE the idea of spending 3 hours in a nail salon, but I really wanted my toes done so I just went with it. I was never given an explanation of why my appointment was messed up, even though I had text message confirmations for my original reservation. Then I proceeded to wait an hour to even sit down to get my nails done. My gut feeling is they had a few walk ins come in a few minutes before my reservation. They seated and served the walk ins, and when I came in they no longer had my reservation times available for the service - which is ridiculous. My nails at the end were ok. I noticed after the fact the tech (Eric) didnt cut my cuticles, but whatever. Ultimately my bad for not paying attention. However, I did request nail art be done, but I was informed their polishes they do that with were dried out. All I wanted was zebra stripes on top of my hot pink nails, but I still didnt complain because I know things like that just happen and it isnt the techs fault. Fast forward to last night when I went to get my Nex-Gen nails filled. I was informed Daniel (the tech they had scheduled me with) couldnt do a fill on Nex-Gen and it would have to be a whole new set costing an additional $10. Im going on vacation next week, didnt have time to find a new place, so I just agreed. I was told that since I live downtown I would be given a 10% discount. So total it would just be $5 for the new set. Okay - whatever. This time I remembered to ask him to trim my cuticles - its an additional $12. I have never heard of being charged for this. It has always been apart of the cost of getting a new set of nails. So total, on top of the normal cost of getting a Nex-Gen fill I would be charged $22. Partially because the tech they have isnt skilled enough to do a fill and partially because the salon charges just to have your cuticles cut down. Now, really all of this could have been overlooked if my nails at the end of it were amazing, but they just arent. Pink Toes is an expensive place to get your nails done, and these are on par with a nail shop in a mall or something similar. The shaping of the nails doesnt follow the normal nail curvature, so they bubble up at then. Sure, this is partially because I have tips, but any half way decent nail tech can shape the nail while they are buffing it and evening it out so it doesnt bubble up at the tip. Also my entire nail isnt even covered. The edges are bare. Considering at a 20% tip, the total cost of my nails was $72 I expected a lot better. It was $60 before the tip (after a 10% discount) - with no nail art, no accent nails, no beads or diamonds, no glitter, etc. Pink Toes is in an amazing location, and Ill probably still go there for pedicures, but they just cant keep the talent I would expect for the prices they charge. I dont mind dropping a lot of money on my nails, but I do have a level of expectation for that price. They just fall short.

Today was my first visit to Pink Toes, and although the environment is very nice, I was truly not impressed. The nail technician Dannys customer service was no where near up to par compared to other salons who charge relatively the same prices. I understand we did come in 40 minutes til close and I apologized for that, but that is still no excuse for his lousy service. He never spoke to us the ENTIRE TIME! No interaction whats so ever, when we arrived he rushed my sister to pick a color, and made us feel like a burden the entire hour. If I knew this would be the experience, I would have stayed at Tresor who cost a little more than others, but still look very nice and most importantly WELCOME THEIR GUESTS! I will pay top dollar for quality and good customer service, and today just did not cut it. We asked him questions about the nail process because he had different methods and instead of answering nicely, he just mumbled the answer and made us feel like a complete nuisance! We drove all the way from ARLINGTON to come here, and now were wondering why? The other employees were very sweet and offered us cupcakes, and made us feel more welcome. Danny must not like tips, thats the impression we received. The owner Kyla was very kind, she introduced herself and that little touch goes a long way. Its because of her I just may come back but with a different technician for sure. I hope this was just a bad day for Danny, and that we can have a new positive experience the next time. I will give credit where its due, he did a great job on my sisters nails and at the end of the day thats what I really wanted, I just thought we would have a better time getting ready to celebrate her birthday.

I am highly upset!!!I love getting my nails done & toes the first time I went to pink nail bar I wasnt satisfied had a pedicure felt rushed didnt really enjoy it.so I wrote a review explaining how I felt so I get email the next morning for 35$ gift card i was so excited n shocked I went to nail bar the next day to ask if this was valid they all said yes so I wanted to get a second chance in doing my nails which I was highly satisfied !!! I loved my nails !! That costed 60$I used the gift certificate they had sent me to my email !! And then I get a call that evening couple hours when I left from manager saying who sent me the gift certificate I forwarded over to them cause he was saying did not authorize that I was like wth! You mean I felt accused for something I have no control over and now when I try to make appointments they say there full and have nobody available!!! So rude!!and unprofessional!!! I love the place vibe!that really hurts me to be excluded!

Called to ask availability for eyebrow threading (12:11pm) the guy that answered said there was a slot at 1pm. I arrived at 1257pm and was instructed to sit in the threading chair. 1:13pm (16 mins sitting in the chair) The guy at the front says to me sorry for the delay but doesnt offer me explanation to the delay or tell me how much longer the wait would be. 1:22 pm (25 mins in chair) I give up waiting after seeing a few people come in and be greeted and sat down for mani/pedis. Walking out I tell the guy "cant wait any longer he just says okay maybe next time. Wasted my time. They are the ones who told me to be there at 1pm. So if they are running behind they had my number and could have called me to come later or even after waiting so longer rescheduled me for another day maybe even a discount for the inconvenience.
