This is by far the worst post office Ive ever dealt with. Terrible customer service and poor at delivery. I had to call them several times for packages that they claim were delivered, but were not. Theres a mail carrier on my route that is so incompetent, I wonder why he still has a job. One time he had his supervisor with him when he re-delivered a package he failed to deliver on time, after my calling them and chewing them out for their lack of professionalism. I never had this problem with the Gwynn Oak branch back home in Maryland. At least my mail came on time and the carriers were friendly and professional! DPS needs to improve on their promptness and customer service. Not acceptable at all! There used to be a lady some time ago, that used to deliver on my route, who was very PROFESSIONAL and would actually KNOCK on the door and give you your packages with a smile! I noticed she wasnt there long. What happened to her?

I used to live in Carrollton and the people there were knowledgeable and helpful at that post office. Well, the Desoto branch was just the opposite. The staff are incompetent, ghetto and rude. I simply needed to open a PO Box and they were not helpful at all. I currently live in Desoto and I really wanted my PO Box at the closet location. However, my gut feeling was dont apply online for the PO Box at the Desoto location. Wish Id listened to my gut. These people were morons! After being in line for quite some time and then directed to a 800 number by the Desoto Postmaster, which I was on hold for over 30 minutes, I ended up driving to the Cedar Hill branch and they got me setup with a PO Box in less than 5 minutes. If you want to save time and money just go to the Cedar Hill branch or another.

This is the worse post office I have ever been to. If you need to do anything with the usps in the Desoto area just go ahead and take the drive to whatever branch is the next closest. I promise you that you will save more time. It doesnt matter what time you come, you will be in a line and you will have to listen to every conversation in the building. With 5 terminals, at the very best there will be 2 clerks assisting and going as slow as humanly possible to help you. This place is absolutely rediculous!

Rude, unprofessional, slothful. No regard for customers time. Postmaster hides in her office and blames everything on DeSoto not having the same revenue as post offices like Cedar Hill that have far more business class mail. Supervisors will pass through, see a line out the door and keep moving in the opposite direction. Long lines and only 1-2 persons working the front and they will often leave for break while the line is long. Better off making the drive to Cedar Hill or Lancaster.

I sent out my US citizenship certificate out at the post office to get my passport but never returned till now since January and I received the passport. Again in April, I ordered for check book but never received and my bank told me they mail it out , whosoever is delivering mail in 825 E pleasant should be checked because there were no missing items over 4 years, why now? Please do something.

Only one word can describe the workers here.... rude. I never have this problem at the Red Oak station. I know working for USPS can be hard at times but treating consumers like crap is ridiculous. Remember we purchase the labels and stamps so treat those who help you keep a job right. Same goes for any other profession.

I dont ever write reviews, but this place has the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Very rude and not helpful. They sent my urgent package back to the shipper after one try, they are lazy. The 2 women that work at the desk are ignorant and have no class whatsoever. That goes for anyone that works their.

The mail carriers from this post office have a lack of regard for the mail they are delivering. Rather than walk the 20 steps to my front porch with a package, they frequently shove a box into the mailbox - even when it bends the box to get it in there - and have ruined mail in the process.

So I payed for expedited shipping cause I needed a package get a message from the seller that they couldnt deliver cause my mailbox was blocked. My mailbox is the one directly in the middle. Fed Ex truck fit perfectly but the smaller usps vehicle couldnt fit.

Most of the women working here, which there arent many, are extremely rude. They have attitudes and are very impatient. They are very short with you over the phone and this is if they answer. If you dont have to use this location DONT.

Ive been here a few times since its right next to my work, but there is always only 1-2 people on duty with at least 8 in line. Be prepared to wait at least 15 min. However, the employees have always been nice.

Im My certified mail was lost. Service was poor and service lines long. Spoke with male manager about this and his attitude was negative. Im still waiting to eat from them.lt has been 13 days..

Crappy service! The lazy postman will not even get out of his jeep to deliver a small package to my porch! Then I have to take time off work to stand in a very long line. AWFUL SERVICE!

The number given does not answer and when it does its a FAX line. There is a need for additional phone service at this PO for customers to be able to contact.
