We were driving from ME to AZ and got stuck in Denton due to my cars front end falling apart. It was a Saturday and we had a warranty on it, so we had to wait until Monday to get everything approved. We gave all the info to Firestone and it seemed to have taken several hours before they got everything approved. We had to keep calling and going there to make sure it was getting done. They told us on Saturday it would take 1 & 1/2 hours to 2 hours to fix it, them Monday they told us 4 hours, so I was upset due to we already had been waiting several hours already. They called us about 1 & 1/2 hours to 2 hours later and said it was fixed. We left and as I was driving I noticed the car was pulling for to the right. They were suppose to give the car an alignment. Since we had to be in AZ and were on a time crunch, we said well have it checked in AZ. This Firestone never gave my car an alignment! Wtf? Half ass work. The so called mechanic said he made sure everything was done and done right, since he knew we had a long drive. Well, about 2 weeks after being in AZ, I had more front end noise. It sounded as if my tire was going to come off. So, I went back to the AZ Firestone and they said my left front tire was very loose. They told me that they never took my tires off when the did the alignment. So, I called this Firestone in Denton and screamed at them. These ignorant idiots didnt tighten my tires all the way. If they fell off while I was driving I could of been in a serious accident. The manager said he was sorry in a sarcastic way and gave me some guys number who was suppose to be the district manager. Well, of course he never got back to me. This location is very unprofessional and obviously doesnt know how to fix cars correctly. I dont recommend them if you want to be safe in your own vehicle. To the irresponsible so called mechanic and manager I hope you dont kill someone next time you leave there tires loose. This place needs to be investigated for not having properly trained people working on vehicles. I just hope no one dies because of their neglect to properly fix cars. DO NOT GO TO THESE IDIOTS!! I hope that Karma will get people like this.

This place is just a bunch of dishonest, sleazy liars. My story is fairly long, but it was just a series of events that just soured my experience. I went in for a simple oil change and one of their seasonal "check ups" (their promo for tire pressure check, windshield wiper fluid check, etc). They did the oil change fine but after the check, they came back saying that my cabin air filter is really dirty and needs to be changed. I was skeptical, but I knew that its been a while so I wasnt confident in saying otherwise. Well, thats when the guy went into the garage and came back with a super dirty air filter in his hand, telling me it was mine. I had them change it cause I took their word for it. So after that was done, they came back out again and said that my shocks and struts also need to be replaced because theyre about to go out at any time. At this point, Im seriously getting bad vibes from this particular store. So I told them Ill put it off because I didnt have the money. When I got back to my car after paying, there were a handful of screws on top of the dashboard. Seriously? I went back in and asked the mechanic, he said he wasnt sure because the dashboard wasnt loose and everything seemed in order. I was so exasperated by then that I just wanted to leave. So I left. A week later, I was a bit worried that maybe there was a semblance of truth that the shocks and struts in my car could be dangerous and about to go out and cause an accident randomly. I went to another Firestone just because I wanted to see if they would say the same thing. Well, they didnt. They said nothing was wrong with my shocks and struts. Imagine what I felt. In all, the other Firestone was redeemed but I will never go to this particular location ever again.

What they say about Firestone auto service over the years is true! I found out first hand after getting a brake fluid flush for about $100 bucks. (I had a recent brake job done but the brake action felt soft at times- especially in the morning when the car is first driven. I was told that the full brake flush was not done- only quick bleeding.) So I tried Firestone since it doesnt look like they were busy with the World Cup games going on sunday. He confirmed that the brakes themselves were good but I would need a brake flush. I didnt feel right when the guy there only took 15mins to do the "flush". When I asked at checkout if I would notice the difference right away with the new fluid in there, he said it would take a "couple of days". That didnt sound right either but I decided to try it out and see what happens. There was not difference in the performance at all. After a couple of weeks, and discussing the situation over with another shop where I get most of my big jobs done, they said the brake fluid did not looked like it was changed at all. This explained why it was sooo fast when they apparently did the work. My shop also said they would not take only 15 minutes had they done it. They gave me a little break and charged me $56 to do a real flush. And the car seemed to brake great! Felt soooo scammed by Firestone. A hundred bones down the drain. Beware.

We were traveling from out of town and pulled into this repair shop on Sunday 4/23 at 3:30 pm with a weird problem. About 30 minutes earlier I had filled up my gas tank and also added a small amount of power steering fluid since it was a little low. As soon as I restarted my car, the engine was revving to almost 3000 rpms while in Park! What the heck!!! Never had this happen before. I managed to drive it roughly 5 miles to their shop. Initially they couldnt get it out of Park when they started it. Once they were able to get it inside, they were able to quickly diagnose it as a failed power steering pump pressure switch. I guess adding the small amount of power steering fluid was enough such that the engine thought the fluid pressure was low and since the pump is driven by the engine, the engine was revving up to increase the pump speed and therefore increase the pressure. They got me fixed up and out the door by 4:45 pm which was fantastic since we had to drive back to Houston. Even put on a couple of new tires that were badly needed. Kudos to Renee and the rest of the repair shop team!! Thanks for being open on a Sunday afternoon and sacrificing your time to be there when we needed you most. We made it back to Houston without issue. Ill be sure to send my daughter your way if she ever needs car service while attending UNT. Thanks again!!! Mark in Houston.
