Sri Lankan food! Who knew? Ive driven past this place forever because it says "Asian Fusion," which sounds like something Ive had a million times before. Meh. Ive never had food from Sri Lanka! Came across it on google maps, totally random. The food is highly spiced--not hot, necessarily, but strongly flavored of cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, garlic, cumin, leeks, and much more. The waiter (perhaps he was also the owner and/or chef?) was very helpful to me and my teenaged daughter. He made recommendations and was honest about what a "novice" might not enjoy. There are fusion dishes for the less adventuresome, but go for the authentic cuisine! The kottu is roti (flatbread) chopped and stir fried with veggies and meat. Really unique and tasty. Tried the wood apple lassi drink, cuz Ive never heard of it before. (Do NOT google pictures before you taste it.

Amazing food, friendly staff, wonderful experience. While the majority of food options in Sri Lanka are vegetarian, Zesty Spice offers traditional Sri Lankan flavours and theyre willing to provide a selection of American style proteins - all cooked to perfection. Our meal was fantastic with memories of our travels to that beautiful country flooding back with every bite. Food was cooked authentically with fresh ingredients - and we even asked for additional chillies & sambal (so you know the food is approachable to North American palates). My only regret is that Ive been living in DFW for almost a year and just discovered this place - I should have been eating here this whole time. This is now one of our favourite DFW restaurants! If you love ethnic food that is full of flavour, then I cannot recommend SpicyZest enough! Go. Go eat there now.

As a recent transplant to Dallas I was told of this place by a Sri Lankan friend. I have been here atleast 5 times since my first visit in May. First thing you will notice when you eat the food is EVERYTHING IS MADE FROM SCRATCH & YOU CAN TASTE IT. The food is made using quality ingredients/fresh produce and organic/farm raised meats. It really shines through in the food. The food is similar to indian but the flavor profiles are different. When you order a curry for instance it comes with sides that are prepared separately and these can include beets, lentils, a green, eggplant. The sides are outstanding as well and not an afterthought like most restaurants. This place is honestly a gem in the DFW area and Im surprised its not packed shoulder to should given the quality and the taste of food here. They really care about what they put on a plate.

Wow. This place is really good. We have lots of Indian and Chinese restaurants in Dallas, but this is the first time that Ive ever tried Shri Lankan food. Compared to the Indian foods Ive had in the past, there was much more coconut flavor. If youre trying to imagine, think if Indian food and Thai food had a baby. Even better than imagining, just come try it. Small family run business and the owners are really friendly.

The food here is fantastic. The flavors will be a unique mix of flavors you might normally find on their own in other cuisines. I recommend the Sri Lankan Fried Noodles - Ive never tasted anything like it. It was Sunday night and there was only one man working, and he was amazingly accommodating. If I lived in town, I would be back until Ive had everything on the menu at least 10 times each - and probably more!

This place is great! Not a ton of inside seating but holy cow is the food good. I tried the Rice and Curry, and every different ingredient had something unique about it. The potatoes were my favorite part, they had a lot of flavor, but without being overpowering. There were some interesting ingredients that I dont see around Dallas such as banana blossoms. Highly recommended, Ill be back!

Unique Sri Lanka menu (Indian type foods but from Sri Lanka so it is slightly different to traditional Indian). The food quality is superior. The service is really great, friendly and helpful to understand the menu choices. The food has subtle spices and is not as overspiced as traditional Indian. Really loved this unique Indian food!

The only Sri Lankan restaurant in DFW to my knowledge, Friendly staff and awesome food. They have both authentic and fusion dishes of Sri Lanka. Beef Kottu is my favorite thing here. They also have rice dishes, noodles dishes and Sri Lankan savory pastries/snacks.A lot of variety and unique tasting dishes that would never bore you.

Little "hole in the wall" restaurant serving very good Asian fusion food. The service and the food were worth the money. It was a bit warm in the restaurant even with the fans blowing. The customers must walk through the kitchen to visit the rest room, but it is definitely better than not having one on sight.

Asian fusion food Srilankan style! We were seated quickly.I ordered rice and curry. Service was slow. Got our food ready in about 25 minutes. Food tasted fresh, had distinctive flavors. Its a small place that can seat about 10-15 people. They also sell fresh baked items. Will try in my next visit

The food was delicious, and had a little something different that was quite enjoyable. We went on Sunday night, and it was a one-man show. The guy was super nice, but it took him a while to cook our food. (Because its just that fresh.) I plan on calling in my order ahead of time on the next trip.
