Car stopped on me got it towed here. Said I needed a fuel line. Couldnt find one so they told me to find the part and theyll put it on. They gave me a part number. Found it within 2 days. Finally received it for Firestone to say this is the wrong part. WTH. Gave me another part number. I found it at a dealership in MN. They put it on and said it will start but dies after 15minutes. Said I needed new spark plugs we said put em on. Still wont stay running. We were then told the timing may have jumped. 5 minutes later got a call we need to have our car towed to the dealership or another mechanic. We go to pick up the car and theres all kinds of bull crap piled under the Hood, mind you it was propped open, and when we hooked it up to the tow all kinds of fluid is leaking from somewhere. The mechanic has already found that the rubber hose from the engine to the ac compressor has been broken hince the leaking. And we were told it looks like our Hood was left open during the rainstorm Monday. This is a horrible place and they are rude as hell. These mechanics are lazy and it seems they arent very knowledgeable.

I had tires installed ( front 2) ... They charged me about $160 ( high in my opinion) , but it included balancing and alignment. After I got the truck back, I realized they had installed the tires backwards ( design faces one way- back were facing out, front now face in) ... so I took it back... they flipped the tires so all 4 outside designs matched... which was good, but now the truck shimmied and shook at or above 40 MPH. WAYYY worse than before the new tires. So I took it to jon who said he would balance the tires. After 5 hours, I go to pick up the truck and he tells me I need to go to a 4x4 shop because the cant balance tires. Thats either BS, since they did it the first time and he showed me the weights they added or he is just refusing to do it. So, I asked for a refund since I paid for a balance ( charged twice after I got my bill from the install) of about $40... He starts shaking and turning red and basically blamed me for the issue. WHAT ? YOU billed me for a balance and now are telling me you cant do it , and you dont want to give a refund???? What a waste of time...

Very bad experience. I am a young female who does not know much about cars and felt like I was being mislead at every turn. I would not recommend this place. I went here to get my brakes checked out. When I returned to the shop to pick up my car they said that one of my back tires was splitting and it was very unsafe to drive my car anywhere. They claimed that the problem originated from my car being out of alignment and had never been aligned (it has roughly 160,000 miles on it). Their recommendation was to put all new tires on and get it aligned (roughly $550). I went to Walmart to see what they said about tires and they only said that I needed 2 new ones ($150 total). Walmart claimed that there as no evidence of splitting and my back tires were totally fine. To get a third opinion I went to my mechanic who reaffirmed what Walmart said and stated that my back tires were in great condition and were not splitting at all. I also looked through my cars record and found out that it had been aligned multiple times in its life time.

FIRESTONE (GALV.) replaced oxygen sensor on my 2005 Honda. Had to have sensor replaced to get State of Texas Inspection Sticker. Another place told me my car needed 2 sensors replaced. Went back to Firestone and they said that I needed only 1 sensor. Defective sensor light on dash went out and I got my State Sticker. This time I was helped by a man called Daniel and he was very helpful and explained to me about my most recent problem with my car. I will probably ask for him when I return. We all feel that the "worlds against us" when our cars start having problems. My advice to female and male is to check around and word-of-mouth on GALVESTON ISLAND is the best way to find honest and well-qualified mechanics. .

I had my car towed here on a Thursday morning after getting a huge nail in it. While I was there I also got an inspection. It took two hours for my tire to get patched and the inspection to be done. Everything seemed fine and the price wasnt bad, but for the last 6 months, that same patched tire has continued to lose air. Ive had to air up that specific tire every few weeks. I finally got a new tire because Firestone had originally patched it incorrectly and it was beyond repair after driving on it for months. I am just frustrated that a simple patch caused a lot of inconvenience and so many uses of my air compressor! I dont intend to return to this Firestone.

Proceed with extreme caution. These guys will try to take advantage of people who are not knowledgeable of auto repair. These guys tried to turn a $200 brake job into a $1850 dollar brake repair. Basically they stated all 4 rotors, all 4 brake calipers, all 4 brake caliper mounting brackets, and all pads needed to be replaced . Shop manager even tried to tell me to consider this cost as a investment in a $70K truck. While its a nice truck its not even worth close to $30K. Had work done at reputable shop for $185 including turning front rotors. I truly hate to see a shop like this try to take advantage of travelers .

I do not recommend going there. I was using firestone for a couple years, but they started to get very bad. I am done. They will waste your time, try to charge you unnecessarily and will not fix your car all the way. I was absolutely disappointed with my last visit, and will NEVER go back there again. They failed my state inspection 2 times and wasted about 5 hours of my time. I checked my car on 2 other places and they said my car has no issues. Passed inspection with no problem. They refused to give my money back or apologize for my wasted time.

The price isnt worth the hassle...I got 4 brand new bridgestone tires. Two days later one of my new my tires is completely flat because Firestone didnt install a valve stem properly so it leaked. I had to to take 3 hours off work and a long time waiting in their shop for them to fix their mistake. Even after my car was done it sat outside for 20 minutes before they finaly gave me my key back so I could leave. They didnt offer anything to compensate for the hassle of their mistake.

The guys there seem nice who work the front desk. Got a pre-inspection done on a older 95 Chevy, and they noted absolutely nothing wrong with it. When I looked myself there were clearly lots of small issues wrong with the vehicle. I have used auto PI, lemon busters, and lemon squad and have seen at least 10 peri spectrums done and they find a bunch of stuff wrong with even brand new vehicles. If you want a pre inspection done dont do it here.
