My mother had an underground leak at her home. I Called Island Mann Plumbing. When they showed and I informed them where the water was probably leaking from in the ground. The two of them was at her house for no more than five minutes. Majority of the time was discussing prices. Made it seem like it was going to be a big job where he was going to need to call in additional help. Gave me a price of 405.00 just to dig in a certain area and if it was not found an additional 405.00 and on until they found the leak. Once found an additional 285.00 to fix the problem. He suggested I find the leak myself then call them back to repair. My mother told a neighbor about the problem and he had a friend come by to check it. The man was able to take a shovel and find the problem within five minutes. I took him to get parts and he fixed the problem for a total of 80.00 with material. The next day Island Mann Plumbing called, I told them I had the problem fixed. They still wanted the 49.00 for coming out and doing absolutely nothing. These people will rip you off. I would not recommend them to anyone. At minimum They were going to charge me around 700.00 and I had it fixed for 80.00.

Roto rooter came out and allowed me to watch as we video snaked the piping in my home. Roots found all throughout the piping. For a second opinion we called these guys. Said no roots and they could fix us in a jiff... never saw a camera. An unclog of what was described as feminine hygiene products, to which no evidence was provided. In an attempt to reason with an individual who calls himself Bo, words were exchanged and he was extremely unprofessional. He didnt have tools either, he had to wait for someone else to come with tools the second time out to my location. Bo is a habitual liar, has poor customer service, and will pit you against your landlord or property manager. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. If you work with bo, run for the hills hes like big brother, rather treat u for cancer than release the cure. Heed the real stories here vs the fake ones with 5 stars. Horrible business practices lose you customers.

Owning an historic home in Galveston can be very challenging as old plumbing frequently needs repair. Many plumbers, I have found arent experienced enough to handle these situations. Finding Raymond who is with Island Mann Plumbers, is like finding gold. Raymond is an expert at diagnosing difficult problems. His attention to detail and ability to efficiently correct any problem keeps me a loyal customer. He is very respectful of the owner and owners belongings. He is efficient and thorough. Whatever he promises is as good as done. The dispatcher at the main office makes sure no customer lacks attention, and scheduling is quick and painless. Both Raymond and dispatch are very good at communicating. I have nevet felt like I was in the dark. All in all, I cannot praise Raymond highly enough. Only sorry I cant give him 10 stars....hes that good!

Island Mann tried to mislead us into allowing them to tear out our shower wall for a costly and time consuming repair, but another company was able to fix the problem in less than 20 minutes with nothing more than a wrench and a new valve. On top of that, Island Manns technician had to come to our house multiple times because he didnt have the tools that he needed, he only ever came outside of schedule, and the owner was very rude to us when we couldnt provide access in the early morning - hours before the agreed upon time bracket.

First, it was very hard to even get ANY plumbers to call us back for a 1-day project. But Island Mann did and we had an excellent experience including talking with the main office and dispatch. Justin & Jesse came out ahead of schedule. And here are some adjectives to describe them and their work... professional, polite, smart, eager, quick, respectful, thorough, clean, follow up. Did I mention quick? Were only making one call for plumbers from now on!

We have a historic home on Galveston that required a full repipe of the water lines and drains. Island Mann had competitive pricing and excellent customer service. Raymond and his crew showed up timely and left the job site clean for the duration of the project. There were no surprises at the projects completeion we will be having Island Mann back to our home later this month to install new gas lines. We would recommend Island Mann to anyone.
