Of all the auto garages Ive pulled in to, this one is by far run by some of the most honest and respectable professionals its been my privilege to meet. Yesterday at 7:30AM, I called and Jimmy arranged for a tow truck to come to my house and bring me to the garage. Within 45 minutes, my car was loaded and headed to the Garage. Upon my arrival, I was met with a smile, handshake and cup of fresh coffee. Jimmy informed me I would get the best service available; and there was just something about the honesty of his demeanor that put me at ease from the very start. We discussed a few theories, but he assured me they would find the problem and get it resolved. Long story short, the mechanics found the issue and was able to fix the car at an extremely fair price. Furthermore, knowing I wasnt looking to hang on to this car much longer, Jimmy had printed out a list of diagnostic test results that told me what I should do to get my car in the best condition for selling. He went on to explain each item very thoroughly. If I would have taken my car to another garage, I have a feeling some people wouldve taken the opportunity to tell me I needed a new battery, replace all kinds of things - only to run my bill up. This was not my experience with these guys. I called back and spoke with the manager, Marcus this morning about a different issue and was given the same, professional and honest approach as Jimmy. FINALLY - a garage that actually cares more about the customers than how high they can make each visit. From my experience, I will never go to another garage for any kind of service on my vehicles! From oil changes to tune ups, the West Westchester Parkway City Garage is getting all my business and Ill be referring all my friends to them as well. Thank you very much, gentlemen! Your integrity and honesty is very much appreciated! Larry Robertson Grand Prairie, TX

Very helpful, Very courteous, Very knowledgeable, HONEST!!! I came in for an oil change and state inspection. A former coworker had recommended them to me. She was spot on. The staff was diligent, helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and honest. I had some concerns about my truck prior to the inspection. They took a look prior to the inspection to see if those concerns would cause me to fail. They told me it was, some of them were borderline, but would pass. During the inspection and oil change, they noticed some other early developing issues I was unaware of and pointed them out to me. They took me into the garage and showed me exactly what they were seeing. Forewarned of future problems before they become problems means costly repairs can be avoided down the road. They also discounted my oil change and performed it at the same time as the state inspection, saving me time and money. They also let me know I could go right across the street to Tom Thumb to get my sticker afterwards instead of going down to the county tax assessors office. That saved me a great deal more time. Overall, 5 star experience. Other observations, I noticed they provided complimentary rides home for people dropping their cars off. I also noticed their mechanics had been with them for more than a decade. Quit rare to see the same people working at a business they do not own for that long these days. Very reassuring.

EPIC Mis-Diagnosis: Recently, I took my 2005 Cadillac SRX to the Grand Prairie location (315 Westchester Pkwy) because my check engine light was on and my car was slightly vibrating. I was told they ran a diagnostic evaluation & I received a printout of supposed diagnostic results. They indicated I needed 2 Catalytic Converters replaced, plus spark plugs, a coil, and restoring of air/fuel/intake service --- all which would cost approx. $2,853.00. I decided at that price, I would get a 2nd opinion, and I took my car to a Cadillac dealership (expecting their cost would definitely be much worse). As expected the dealership did extensive testing of diagnostics. To my surprise they ruled out MANY things, only to narrow down that the issue was due to a single fuel injector that was clogged and should be replaced. COST: $628.00. My car is now running smoothly and perfectly! Just beware of high dollar estimates for any repair. Had I not investigated further, I would have unnecessarily spent an extra $2200 bucks at City Garage that I dont have. I have used this City Garage location many times in the past, but this most recent visit has raised my "alarm". Even makes me wonder if my last repair at their location was actually legitimately priced. Hmmmm!!!! -- M. Whitley

The people were nice however being a woman going into car places is always hard. This place DEFINATELY Took full advantage of me being a woman not knowing much about cars. Well my car was acting up and would take a while to start if at all so i took it to this place not knowing where else to go. THey ran a diagnostic which was $50.00. Come to find out it was the battery. $340.00 and 3 hours later, i got my new battery put in my car. They told me that all the batteries were expensive like this and that they were hard or next to impossible to find..All of this was on labor day weekend so i guess they took advantage of the fact a lot of places were closed so i couldnt really do my research. After waiting they lied and told me the reason why it took 3 hours was becuase of traffic. I was stuck up there with my son and my sons father was coming up there and he lived on SAME STREET that the driver was supposedly coming from and got there 10 minutes after calling me to tell me he was on his way with NO TRAFFIC. I am glad i got my car running. These people will never get anymore of my business. They were nice in demeanor but very dishonest. Long story short i was over charged by $150.00 oh well...just figured id warn everyone out there to STAY AWAY.

This is one of the best automotive shops Ive ever used. Being somewhat new to the area, I hadnt yet found a good mechanic, so I asked a coworker where she normally goes and she recommended City Garage. My first time here I was experiencing difficulty replacing a headlight due to a hinge in the headlight fixture that was not moving. I brought my car to them and they took care of it quickly, without charge. The next time I came in I had an issue with my brake lights remaining on after the car was turned off. Again, they found a quick solution to the issue and did not charge me for the service. I am grateful to this garage for helping me out. I realize those were small things but they were so helpful and honest. I will start taking my car here from now on for anything that goes wrong with it, and Id recommend City Garage to anybody in the area.

This used to be my go to mechanic shop, but no more. Now its run by a bunch of dishonest kids. I went in for a radiator replacement and somehow that was a $1200 job! The average repair cost for a radiator r and r is 300 to 400. When I asked the guy on the phone why it was so high he said the thermostat was bad and that included putting new hoses which I still didnt need. So not sure how a $30 thermostat and some $20 hoses made that much of a difference. I was about to cut my loses from the $55 cooling diagnosis when he dropped the price down to $875 by not putting in new hoses. Really now! Some cheap hoses did that? So add this one to the list of dishonest shops. This used to be a haggle free place where you got a straight competitive price. I definitively wont be back again.
