My issue with Church services is their lack of communications, both from the client services department as well as the technician. In my situation, I have rent property that is remote from where I live. For over 30 years we have had no plumbing issues. That suddenly changed when the customer did a $130,000 remodel that included adding a second rest room. Now the toilets stop up about once a month. Initially I was told that the issue was due to "old toilets in the adjoining office". Then I was told roots in the system. Then I was told a "major belly in the main pipe". The next door issue could be a property owners association (POA) issue, roots in the pipe a construction defect when the second bath was added and a tenant responsibility, belly in the main pipe probably my issue and the most expensive (and confusing, why suddenly after construction has this issue become critical?). I wanted to speak to the plumber about what he saw when he repeatedly ran a camera through but he NEVER responded even once to my request. Actually I would prefer some sort of written report if it needs to be addressed and reimbursed from the POA, but that request has also fallen flat. While I awaited a response from the plumber, the sewer clogged again and the plumber runs a camera for the third time and just tells my tenant "belly in pipe, old issue, no warranty". Then the charges escalate to over $600 for that visit like they are trying to punish me for this half hour visit since I did not address the "belly in the pipe issue" for many thousands of dollars. I paid for three camera jobs in three months with no reports! I finally told my tenant to call a local San Marcos plumber and the bill dropped tremendously, no camera, and he said roots in the pipe! This brings me back to why I feel I am not being unreasonable asking for a formal report when they charge me over $600 for a half hour visit 3 times and tell me different causes several times! I was going to give 2 stars when I started this review but changed it to 1 star after making myself mad again by describing my frustration. I held the last payment after I complained about the increased charges with decreased time on site because customer service said a technician would call me. He never did and they never called back so I tried waiting them out. All waiting did was get a couple more bills sent to me. Now the bill is 2 months old and I dont like having outstanding bills so I will call and pay it, but I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER! I dont think Church Services is necessarily dishonest, just neglectful and inconsistent. I also wish they would have checked with me before unnecessarily running the camera for the third time in about as many months. Check with the guy that pays the bills not the tenant in the building perhaps, but I am assuming they even checked with the tenant.

Two months ago, I had my entire HVAC system improperly installed by a different business. After several weeks of being ignored by them to come back to investigate and fix the problems, I started calling other Air Conditioner businesses to inspect my system, just to be rejected because nobody wanted to inspect another companys install. I called Church Services and explained my situation expecting to get rejected again. She must have sensed my desperation, because Alex came out that very day, during the middle of August. Alex checked all the vents for air flow/distribution and very quickly realized the problem when he looked at the ductwork. He continued to check the static pressure and the temperature drop. His inspection was very thorough and I passed on the report to the install company. The owner said it was all fabricated because the readings were so bad and there was no way Alex could tell the ductwork was a poor design by looking at it. However, they came back to redo the ductwork about the same way Alex said it would be. That may not have happened without Alexs inspection. So after they fixed it, I called Church to do another inspection. I requested Alex. Everything checked out with his inspection, however another high electric bill revealed something was still wrong. Being that this will go to court, (I may need Church again), I hired another company for a different opinion and requested they check the electrical. They discovered the heater was wired along with the A/C. After two months of hell, it took about 5 minutes to fix their negligence. He also said that if I didnt request the electrical to be checked, it would have been overlooked by most technicians because all the checks seemed within range. Church listened to me whine, they didnt ignore me, they treated me with respect, and they were prompt. Although I didnt used Church for the installation or to fix the negligence of the installation company, I would trust them to do quality work and I recommend their services. They stepped in when I needed them. Ive had a horrible experience so far and I know that Church is one of the good guys.

I highly recommend Church Services! My personal experience was superb. Not only was Mel whom I spoke to and help me set up a free inspection fabulous, but the fact that she was able to set me up with a technician the same day was pretty awesome! I was freaking out that the three bites on my arms were bed bugs and also embarrassed but Mel never judged me and remained professional and assured me that things like this happen and was hopeful that they werent bed bugs. When Jesus Sosa (Pest Control Technician) arrived, I was instantly greeted with a smile! He was very personable and professional the entire time which made me feel comfortable with him in my home. He took a look at the bites on my arm and noted that the bites arent bed bug bites but look more like house spider bites or dust mites. He proceeded to do a thorough inspection of my walls, baseboards, mattress, box spring, frame and even my dresser and nightands. No trace of bed bugs at all (thank God). My ceiling fan in my room is a bit dusty so he mentioned it could be dust mite bites (go figure). On the other hand upon inspecting my other two rooms, he found small house spiders. I told him Id see them here and there. I honestly didnt think those suckers bite! He offered me services for those pests but I turned it down because I do have a pest control service that I pay a small fee for monthly since I live in an apartment community. I didnt want to call the office to tell them I MAY have a bed bug problem because I was embarrassed. I will use the company to treat for these pesky spiders though! If I ever need Church Services for anything major that my apartment maintenance cant do I will be sure to have Church Services on speed dial! I am confident enough to recommend them to family, friends and colleagues! You guys are exceptional! Thank you very much for the peace of mind and wonderful customer service! -Timika

I have used Church Services for air condition, electrical, and pest control so I thought it would okay to use them for plumbing. WRONG!!! Had someone come out on Saturday to check for leaks due to a $400 water bill. Tech discovered a leaking toilet and the temperature pressure valve on hot water was leaking. Tech fixed both of those, but not before pushing to replace an 8 year old hot water heater because of a "special" they were running on water heaters. Told him just to repair the water heater valve and I would not replace the water heater. Completed all the repairs. Went to take a shower the next day and had no hot water. Sure is convenient that when I say I do NOT want them to replace the hot water heater that it all of a sudden stops working!! Call at 8 am in the morning for a tech. Was told they could have someone here between 10 and 1. When I called at 1 pm to find out where the tech was I was told there was a problem with scheduling and they couldnt have someone out until between 2 and 5. Told them earlier I have a 3 pm appointment I cant miss. W Then when I finally received the receipt for the work done on Saturday it only shows half of the work done. I have to have a receipt showing all of the work done to provide to the city to adjust my water bill. Have never had problems with Church Services, but after this experience I will never use them again.
