Stay far, far away from the Community Self Storage onEldridge. Unbelievable terrible experience here just now. My home was flooded two days ago and need to move some belongings out. Called Eldridge Self-Storage first. They are an established business location for 14+ years but prices were average-to-high. So called the 1 year-old Community Self Storage across the road on Eldridge. They were half the price and told me it was because they are only 25% of capacity and need the business. Came in the next morning to view their spaces and needed to get an estimate to submit to my insurance company that will be paying for the storage. Terry was very helpful and cheerful and had written me an estimate out so I could submit it to my insurance for approval and was going to help me get in ASAP. We were almost done and asked that they simply add the date before I submit when Tom Hollywood, the location manager, who had already started interrupting us rudely, started yelling at me telling me they couldnt do that and violently ripped the finished contract out from underneath my hands and ripped it up and told me to get out. I was honestly afraid he would get more violent and wondered if he might even be intoxicated. I am appalled by his behavior and shocked they would treat new potential customers that way. So I went back to the other storage place and will gladly pay their prices. They were kind and understanding and quickly gave me a complete written estimate and said they had gotten many unhappy clients from Community and Toms history and reputation are already well known in the Community. He will destroy this brand new exceedingly large storage facility storage business and is undermining their other caring employees of their hard work to gain new business. Good riddance. I will gladly pay more for professionalism and peace of mind. Renters have been moving out to get away from Tom and U-Haul wont do business with him. Ive been traumatized enough already. I left completely shaken, in tears and concerned for my own safety. I will never set foot on that property again. Thank God for helping me dodge any further entanglement with this fiery bullet!

I just got the free truck that they promised and it is a p.. of s... I dont know if it will make it through the full move. I tried to call them to see if I can get a new truck but they are closed. I dont know how this people use so unsafe trucks available to the public. Even if the truck is free is not a reason to give unsafe trucks. Hopefully I get a different truck tomorrow morning. So far real bad experience.

I have been here for 2 years. The staff are very professional, understanding, and flexible. I have (oddly enough) enjoyed my experience here. The facility is SUPER clean. I have 2 spaces right now, and the spaces DONT even compare. I wish I knew about this one before I rented the other because I definitely have not minded paying a little more each month to get a much better space.

Very professional staff. Easy to deal with and outlines the contract terms very well. They even provided a loaner truck for one day for moving our items to storage which was a blessing with all the expenses we had already...... The units are very clean and very well kept. CLimate control is just what we wanted and needed....
