My car stalled and broke down and I had my car towed to their shop. BIG MISTAKE! I thought they "seemed" trustworthy...but they basically are thieves and cheats. They charged me $95 as a diagnostic fee to supposedly find out what was wrong with my car. When they found out, they told me they need to change my fuel pump and filter...which will cost me $725 dollars. What a F***ing rip off. There wasnt much I could do and was stuck because I needed the car fixed and didnt know where else I could go. I figured if I just get this done, then Ill be good for awhile. WRONG!!! When I picked up the car, I paid them and went home and didnt drive anywhere else the rest of the day. The next morning as I was heading out...my car breaks down AGAIN!!! It was SUPPOSEDLY repaired less than 24hrs ago and I drove it for only a total of 7 miles since I got it. 7!!!!! If I got on the highway...I couldve died. If you care about your safety and the safety of your children, DO NOT take your car to this mechanic. When I talked to them, they basically told me they will have to bring the car in and look at it BEFORE they can tell me if they will charge me for another tow and diagnostic. WTF?! If they fixed it right the first time...I would not have to go through this again. Plus, if they DIDNT do their job the first time...why the hell would I trust them to do it right the second time. The only reason I even tried to talk to them was so that if they had morals, they would own up to the mistake and fix what they were suppose to have done the first time without trying to juice me for more money. Now all Im left with is $800 dollars down the drain. To those of you who are looking for a good, honest mechanic...look again, this place is NOT it. Unless youre looking for a simple oil change, do not trust them with anything more.

Got ripped off at MyMechanic. Brought my Jeep Wrangler there for two issues, 1. suspension shaking too much when hitting a bump, and 2. engine light on (emissions). Note that another mechanic previously told me that catalytic converter needed to be replaced. They looked at it and said that needed to replace steering damper shock to resolve shaking $300, need to replace "deflector" to fix the engine light - another $450. Oh, and they found a leak in the water pump - yet another $400. Note that I never saw antifreeze leaking, but I am a trusting type of person so I said Ok. After I got the jeep back, the engine light was off, but Jeep continued shaking. I drove it for about 200 miles and the engine light went back on, basically when the computer automatically reset. I brought it back to MyMechanic. The story now is that shaking is because couple of bolts on the suspension needed to be tightened. So why replace the steering damper shock in the first place? For engine light, the story now is that catalytic converter needs to be replaced $1300-1400. I asked why did they replace the deflector? Answer was that the error code before was different. What are the chances of two separate issues with emissions within 200 miles? I am now thinking that I was ripped off for the whole job, even the water pump since I never saw any spots under my car before. Never going back there again. Take your money somewhere else.

It is hard to find a good mechanic, and this place is definitely not it! My window was stuck in the upright position because I needed a new window motor. I ordered the window motor online to save money and just needed them to install it. They told me it would just be an $150 labor fee, which I was fine with. When I got there, they said I brought the window motor for the wrong window, and that it would be $270 for them to get a window motor. A window motor online is about $35. The one I got online was $12. I told the guy I did not want to pay $270 for a part that that should be no more than $70 and he said I still had to pay the labor fee. Instead of putting my window back together like it was, they just propped it up on something and as soon as I pulled out of the parking lot my whole window fell out the door. It was hanging out the side of the car. I basically paid the $150 to break my window worse than it was when I came in, and they did about 15 minutes of "work."

People what you dont know will cost you big time. Be educated and knowledgable consumer. When they quote you something that need to be fix always check around and dont take their words for it. Try to fix an oil leak and replace some gasket and they quote me $2400 that is more than dealer stealer charge me. The parts only cost about 50 bucks max. I got pissed off and do it myself in less than 2 hours. YouTube and Google had so much wealth of information for you to be able to DIY. We work hard for our money whether physical or not. Dont let them rip you off especially mechanics. Few are honest and trustworthy. I learn my lesson long time ago. This is last time I will deal with them. Read GARY G review below. It is the same story here. Sorry to hear your bad experience. Remember people, your car are your legs, learn about it and its problem and try to fix it if you can. It will help you in the long run. It is not rocket science.

Ive used My Mechanic for probably 6 years now - both at this and their previous Greenbriar locations - and am extremely comfortable and satisfied with their service. Theyve done everything from replace my cars timing belt and brakes to oil changes, as well as pulling out my fender to make it driveable after someone dented it failing at a parallel parking job. I most value the way they intelligently and honestly answer all my questions about what needs fixed and how vital it is; Ive never felt strong-armed or intimidated into agreeing to any repair I wasnt comfortable with. They have a nice waiting room for short-term jobs, a shuttle that will take you to work and pick you up if reasonably closeby, and have always treated me courteously. There may be other places you can get the parts and labor a bit cheaper, but I trust them to do their job well and charge me fairly (aka without screwing me over).

I have had nothing but good experiences with My Mechanic. They were up front on exactly what was wrong with my car, and being an engineer, I absorbed what they were saying as truth. The person who had problems with the jeep, all I can say is my sister has a jeep and it has been a pain since the day she bought it (no take that back...the tried to do a bait and switch on her) and since then, her jeep has been a hanger queen costing her more money than she really afford on her salary. I tried to tell her..."YOU ARE GETTING OLD AND NEED A TOYOTA", not some beach bunny, buzz the shoreline vehicle like I had when I was 29. My mechanic rates #1 with me. Their mechanics keep their head in their work. Reminded me of Air Mobility Command.
