I went to Robins today 2/25/2013 the sales person by name Amit from what i was told, recovered information of interest from me as for what i wanted. This was fine until after the test drive when we went inside, he wanted me to sign the information sheet, and he wanted to know a price i would pay for the vehicle and buy it today. I explained that i wanted to compare to other vehicles on the lot but i needed to know what could be the lowest price. His response was that he did not want to waist his guys time by making numbers, and it wouldnt be good for me. I guess that for him just by being there may be a waist of time. I commented about the different vehicles i have seen and explained that i wanted to compare to what i have been offered. He wanted to know the places and prices, when i told him about Texan GMC gave me a price of $33888.00 for a Texas edition he responded "And you let it go?" I really dont know what he thinks making a sale involves when a customer is comparing. He made comments as he could give me a cheap truck, "the work truck" my response is that i dont care I want to compare if you do not want to waist time I will go to another Chevy dealer. I dont like to be pressured in purchasing specially when he asked if i was going to pay cash or finance, what is the difference is the price cheaper when cash? "NO" well then finance. All around he made sure not to waist his time, i was unable to compare prices at the best rate to me with discounts I could qualify for, I would be willing to speak with a sales manager in reference to this. Also I am comparing prices for me and a friend we are both interested in a Texas Edition but we want to find the best deal, not the best pressure we are not in a hurry to buy but we do have our credit approvals. Some thing to think about....who wouldnt like a fully loaded truck for the price of a work truck with this said dont ask me for a price gather my info give me the best price that I may qualify for. Then i will make my decision to purchase, change the vehicle style, trim if needed. But it is my option dont expect me to buy the first one you show me remember i am doing my home work and it will be two. I WAS CALLED THE FOLLOWING DAY BY A MANAGER, THEY OFFERED TO MAKE MY SECOND VISIT WORTH IT, THEY WERE GOING TO GIVE ME THE PRICE EVEN IF THEY DID NOT MAKE A PROFIT. I WENT IN AND THEY DID APOLOGIZE, EVENTUALLY IT APPEARED TO BE A SITUATION WERE THE SALES PERSON WAS HAVING A BAD DAY. THEY SHOWED ME A TRUCK AND EXPLAINED WAYS THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO PROVIDE ME A BETTER DISCOUNT. I STARTED THE PURCHASE PROCESS FOR IT BUT PULLED OUT AT THE LAST MOMENT. I CAN SAY THEY TOOK THERE TIME TO EXPLAIN AND OFFER ME SOME THING I WOULD LIKE. I AM EDITING MY RATING DUE TO THIS EVENTUALLY I CAN NOT GIVE A 5 STAR BUT IT WILL BE HIGHER THAN 1.

I wish I didnt have to give a rating because honestly they deserve No Stars! I went into Robbins to trade in a vehicle I purchased through them 2 years ago. When I got there i came across a gentleman named Muin. No question he was a nice guy and seemed to be very honest with me. I told him I purchased the car from their used side. He asked how much and how many miles. His immediate response was "You got a very bad deal" I knew I had. When I purchased the GMC Acadia I had to come back the next day to finish signing. The AC in the car immediatley needed to be repaired. When i came back 3 days later to pick up. They deep scratched the driver side door. I was glad I had a photo of the vehicle on the lot because they wouldnt have helped me. Even then all they did was paint over it. The same night I got it back the car shut off. I had to take it back in to have them fix it. 3 Months later I spent $700 to repair the fuel pump. All they did to repair was bandage it so it could become my problem. So Muin didnt tell me something I didnt know. The problem i have was that the appraised the vehicle for a certain amount, which still left me upside down. Instead of paying the balance of the vehicle off to fix the shaft job I received 2 years earlier. They wanted me to ask the bank to finance $50,000 on a $30,000 valued vehicle. Did I mentioned they appraised the car with the AC not working. I had been to 3 different dealerships that day to car shop and it worked all day long. It was working when I pulled into Robbins. Now I have an SUV that has NO A/C. I have 5 children. If my AC wasnt working I would not have had them out in this HEAT! OH did i mention the Appraiser is the GMs son?! So expect a shaft job from the top to the bottom. I received a call from Mike who said that i should receive a better deal and said he would see what he could do and call me in the morning. Well hes had all day and I received nothing which tells me that no one at Robbins wants to right the WRONGS that they have done to me and my family. I will be placing the same complaint on every website that ask for a rating including contacting the BBB. If your looking to get the shaft over and over by all means go to Robbins. I on the other hand I will advise multiple family members that have vehicles through them to take their future business elsewhere. I gave Robbins the opportunity to make it right and they were unwilling to. Please make sure they dont put your family through the same thing. GO ELSEWHERE! Robbins does not care.

We shopped around for a LONG time. We werent expecting much when we arrived at Robbins Chevrolet but we knew what we wanted. Alvin is now our favorite salesman in Houston (we went to a lot of different dealerships and Walter finished the financial part of it, they made it EASY to buy a car. Alvin was literally RUNNING to make sure we had everything we needed as soon as it was available. It took a while but we expected that. Everyone answered all of our questions and we were able to test drive whatever options we wanted to. They acted like they knew we wanted to feel good about what we bought and were excited to to help us feel like we made the right decision in the end. (unlike some other dealerships that didnt want to let us test drive more than one car especially considering we wanted to test drive the top of the high horsepower performance cars...the other dealerships maybe didnt let us test drive any... made excuses... and possibly even argued with me on the specs of the cars, rookies should never argue about specs with a potential sale). It DID help that Chevrolet did a great job with there performance options. However, we walked in not thinking we were going to buy a car that day... we walked out having signed the contract. Again, Alvin went above and beyond: since we werent planning on BUYING a car we figured that we would get one good test drive in and they would have better things to do than deal with us.. not the case.. even though they were very BUSY they took their time with us... resulting in my getting low blood sugar and feeling queasy and weak...Alvin brought me a candy bar and a soda even after we told assured them we would be right back and were going to take their loaner car. The initial deal took place Saturday and the car we ended up wanting was not on their lot so they provided us with a similar car to drive over the weekend (WITH a full tank of gas). We picked up our brand new top of the line loaded performance car with everything we wanted on Monday. We were happy. Zero buyers remorse. Thats hard to come by for me because I cant remember a time that I have bought anything without wondering if I got the right one or got my moneys worth. I had never been to a dealership that I did not feel slighted or rushed. Until now. Robbins Chevrolet did it right and they have my business for as long as they keep it up!!
