One of the other things about this post office, besides the awful customer service, is the fact that they do not consistently turn their phones on during business hours. You cant reach the business itself because they purposely dont turn their phone lines on in the morning. It is so infuriating to have people so rude while THEY inconvenience you... The blatant disregard for peoples mail is inexcusable at a post office, and should be unlawful. When someone finally answers the phone, it is the Post Master, Michelle. Michelle is about as impatient and rude as a person can be, which is funny considering SHE HERSELF is responsible for the complete disrepair and utter disarray this office is in, and therefore, the very source of her own annoyance. Shes more frustration than help, and then tells you shell call you back with some answers (because, of course, she doesnt have any), but does she? Ha. No. Dont even dare to dream. When I called UPS, they said they have an electronic receipt showing they delivered my packages (yes, plural; multiple parcels from multiple senders) to the post office. The senders themselves have received notification that the parcels were delivered to the local post office, and gave me the address to this location, so I know that it isnt a simple confusion or communication error. This is a problem with this particular post office and its particularly snotty, unhelpful staff. The only person who is ever sweet or helpful is a middle aged, bald gentleman with glasses. He doesnt always have the most pleasant expressions on his face, but IS always fast, friendly, and helpful. I hate that he is even associated with the rest of these incompetent losers. I am totally sick of this office and after today, I wont rest until I find out who is responsible for Michelle being in charge, and the fact that they have such a grotesquely low satisfaction rating, but nothing has changed... Its just absolutely ridiculous. Mail is a necessity, not some privilege bestowed on us by the benevolent Post Master Michelle at her leisure, and for her and the rest of the employees to abuse their access to our mail IS UNLAWFUL. It is a government regulated service, which means that change CAN happen if enough of us make enough noise about it. I REALLY wish I could give less than one star.

This is by far the worst post office in history. With so many complaints I dont see how they stay open. For years my mail gets delivered to another street due to that postman not taking the time to read. Finally we get a regular postman that I became friendly with because he does such a great job. His name is Aaron. He knows I am at home because I work at home and if I have a package that will not fit in the parcel box he will bring it to my home along with all my other mail. We chat about the weather or news and off he goes. But God help me if Aaron goes on vacation I am up the creek with no kind of paddle or life vest. His substitutes are horrible. I dont expect them to bring all my mail to the door with a large package because they dont know I am here but at least bring the package to the door and leave it. They dont even try to deliver. From the tracking update I know it made it to the post office after that they will scan it undeliverable address or some other bull to keep from delivering it. Like seriously. Then when I email the main site to complain they claim it is on the way. 2 or 3 days later. By that time Aaron is back and clueless as to why they will not deliver them when he is gone. If I call the mainline to complain there is an over an hour hold time. If I call the local office in hurst the line is busy...the WHOLE DAY.....REALLY! The people there are local folks and you can tell they are comfortable. You should see the way they drive those trucks too. Crazy as all get out. They have caused some accidents in the past. This place needs to be purged. Keep the few that take pride in their job like Aaron and ditch the rest. I am still trying to get one package now...unfortunately AAron is on vacation

I vow, today, to never give one more dime of revenue to the Hurst Post Office at Pipeline and Precinct Line Rd. When they start closing offices, this one will surely self-implode anyway. I can’t wait to see what they build on this corner when they bull-doze the place to the ground. Yee ha! Not one of the people behind the counter has ever handled an international shipment the same way and I have tried and tried to “get it right” for them. It’s a three stooges act every time. I hold the manager of this post office responsible for the overall atmosphere of crap-assed ethics and professionalism, as I have spoken with her personally before and she is one of the worst I have ever seen. She is stupid-rude, and ignorant. She is a beyond comprehension bad manager and she belittles her job-secured government servants when they ask for assistance on the apparently non-existent procedure for shipping packages overseas. I feel sorry for the underlings, but no government job is worth your soul. Abandon ship! I will drive the extra five miles to Bedford where they smile and know what they’re doing. I took my international package there to try them out last week and the lady didn’t even need to ask me what I needed. She was the only one working and the line moved faster than it ever does in Hurst when there are three people “working” back there. Hurst needs to stop trying to upsell everything and learn how to move mail.

I am disgusted and perturbed. We moved here from Chicago in May of 2015. This post office, and our mailman has caused us nothing but grief ever since. First, I never received an invitation to a very important family party back up north. The invitation sat in the wrong box for over s month before it was discovered. In the mean time, it has torn a hole in my family ten miles wide. Then, I received a notice that I had a letter to pick up. This is 2/2/16, and four months later, the still havent found it. The mailman puts the wrong mail in our box everyday. Apparently reading is no longer a pre requisite for employment anymore. Now he has virtually destroyed something I ordered from Amazon to squeeze it in the box. A book that is 16" x 15" does not fit in an apartment size mailbox. Then you go in the post office, and get stuck behind 2 or 3 people with passports. They are never staffed for this. One more: at Christmas I went in to buy a sheet of Charlie Brown stamps, because I was going to frame it. The girl told me that there was no such thing and tried to sell me a book of stamps. She told me this is s sheet. They obviously dont know the difference there. Just awful.

Despite the flurry of negative reviews, I decided to go to the Hurst Post Office to get a new passport. I had a great experience compared with the rest of the reviewers. When I arrived, I went to the door for the passport office; I had called and scheduled an appointment for the time I was there and it was within the office hours; however, it was locked. A woman behind the counter told me shed be with me and was at the front desks to help alleviate the line; I understood and waited near the door. When the woman who came into the post office before me was done at the counter (I would be next in line if I had waited in line), I was told to come up and paid the fees, handed over the forms, etc at the counter. She then went around, unlocked the door and took my passport picture; they were printed off and there was some conversation - nothing rude, etc. My passport came in the mail 3 or so weeks after and my birth certificate shortly after. All the information is correct - nothing went wrong in the whole experience.
