I have been coming to Kess Salon on and off since it opened five years ago. I used to really enjoy it and recommend it to others. Unfortunately, after recent events I will never go back. The past couple of visits I have had HORRIBLE experiences with Renee Richardson. This review pertains to her specifically. I went in for highlights recently and came out with the most AWFUL, inconsistent, streaks in my hair. The "highlights" were painted in a harsh, blunt, horizontal line about three inches down from my part on both sides. That is definitely not the look I was wanting. In addition to the harsh lines, the color of the "highlights" ranged from either a coppery-orange shade to a bleach blonde shade despite me asking for the highlights to be strictly caramel. Renee blamed the wretched turnout on the fact that I have had highlights previously, but that was TWO years ago. Theres no way that highlights I had TWO YEARS ago caused the botched hair job she did. I have dyed my hair one, solid color about once a month every month in the two years since my last highlights and have never seen signs of the old highlights "peeking" through, so I am not buying that sorry excuse. I am furious to have lost so much money on this coloring job. Not to mention I am incredibly embarrassed to walk around with this mess on my head.

I called to make an appointment for highlight root touch up for Sunday at 1. When I got there Amy my hair stylist had someone else that she was working on and said it would be a few min . I waited 40 min . I made other plans for that day so I didnt have time to sit there and have them dry and style it . Later that night I noticed that my roots didnt match the rest of my hair . They were darker . And my highlights were semi done . Went by to talk to them and they said we will fix it for free . A few hrs later I get a call from the manager saying that there will be a charge to fix my highlights . And they also tried to put the blame on me bc I didnt have enough time . Will never go there again .

I love going to Kess because of Errin. She listens and cuts my hair to make it look as amazing as possible. I am on a lot of meds, so my hair thins and breaks. Errin taught me how to make it look fuller. She also doesnt push products down my throat. She makes suggestions. Offers helpful hints on what will work and what she has used. She leaves it up to me to purchase or not. No hard sell. That way, when she says there is a product that she knows is really great and stresses I should think hard to get... I usually get. I also feel Kess is not overly priced. Nice atmosphere. Nice staff. Thank you Errin!!!!

Good service for color, hair cuts just ok. Wanted a perm and stylist said she could do only 1 week after full color, I even asked if that was to soon, she said no, they make perms for color treated hair. Went home with wet hair, and after it was dry, my hair was so burned. Went back next morning, my stylist not there, but another stylist hacked some of the worst parts, with no regard to shape or style, and to add insult to injury, she suggested I buy a $50.00 bottle of product to help. Never a call from my original stylist, and she was aware of the situation.

These stylists are pros, they do an incredible job and make you feel like a celebrity. Kind workers, comfortable waiting area, complete with a stylish sofa and couch coushin. They offer you a drink and the place looks great. I dont often take the time to write reviews, however this place knocks all others out of the park. Even though you get first class hair and first class treatment this place still has competetive prices. I will never get my hair done anywhere else.

I have been looking for a good quality stylist for a while now, I went here today and can say I found one that I will be going back to! Alycia was great and made my hair look fantastic!! It is a great salon over all, not too big, everyone was friendly and had on smiling faces! Also GREAT prices, for the service I received I was expecting double the price I paid, Love it, and will be going back!

Great neighborhood Salon, very nice and friendly. Natalie was great listener and professional. First time there and felt like family with personal service and excellent cut and style. Definitely will make another appointment and recommend her to others.

I really like this place. Me and all my daughters get our hair cut here. The ladys are all really nice. Only thing if you get a nice cut take a picture and remember who your stylus was because otherwise you will not get the same cut again.

This was my first time in this salon and its gorgeous! Erin Martinez is awesome and their products made it possible for me to be blonde with color instead of bleach! I will most definitely be back!
