This post office is an absolute joke. The people that run the front counter seem to not care about customer service whatsoever. They all seem to have the same grouchy attitude and seem to have a never ending slew of negative and sarcastic remarks. Many times I have showed up 10 mins before closing because of my work schedule and get treated like absolute crap. Today I waited 6 mins on a priority mail box to place my item in and was rushed at the counter which ultimately lead to the clerk making a mistake and not adding insurance to a package worth about $500. Tried to turn around when I realized her mistake but the gate was closed in my face. They absolutely refuse to wait 1 min past closing to make sure the job is done right and the customer is happy. I could go on and on about different experiences I have had at this post office. From them being rude to mishandling and loosing packages, to their terrible customer service. I would like to say I will start going to another location but unfortunately they seem to only hire low caliber people and treatment seems to be the same at any location I go to. Guess I will try UPS or FedEx.

Received a message on Monday stating that my package had arrived at my residence, Was home all day and the package never arrived. Called around 2 that afternoon and was told that I would get a call back, never received one. Called back 2 hours later, was informed the supervisor that was supposed to call me back went home and that the package was delivered to a different house and that my mail carrier already left for the day as well. Was told a mail carrier would go to the house it was delivered to and deliver it to me that evening. Once again it never arrived. Called Tuesday and spoke with someone and they said that the mail carrier said it was too dark to see. Headlights?? Was also told that my package was on the truck to be delivered that day, once again NO PACKAGE. Called customer service and explained that the package did not arrive, was told to wait til the end of the day. Waited til the end of the day and checked mailbox this morning.. NO PACKAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Called post office all morning, BUSY SIGNAL...

This place is less than one star. The hours posted on the passport office door are not guaranteed by any means. The hours say 9-2 but good luck bc whoever is in charge of processing the passport applications works as she pleases...must be nice. I showed up quarter til 2 and was informed that the passport lady "sometimes leaves early on Friday if she wants." The 3rd attempt at trying to catch this lady DURING said office hours I completely lost my cool and someone finally took my application and helped me but with a piss poor attitude bc it wasnt her "job". My husband attempted to get his passport application processed as well and even called the lady before heading over to make sure she would be there but she informed him that she takes lunch from 1-2 and leaves as soon as she gets back. Dont waste your time with this place!

I went this morning to double check the requirements for passport processing listed online for minors. The Department of State website shows this post office as "walk in", but it is not, you have to call to make an appointment. The person in charge also gave me the wrong information. When I told her that I will get the consent form as my husband works in a different city. She told me that the form only applies for very extreme situations like being overseas for military services. I called NPIC to ask about this item and they said the consent form will apply for job situation too. So, I will really recommend you to avoid going for passport processing in here.

Everytime I go to the Kilgore usps, the employees are always very rude! They seem to not care one bit about customer service. Today I went in with a small package and asked if I needed to tape the box I brought (it folded inside itself so it was kind of difficult to open but I wanted to make sure it wouldnt open before it dot to its destination) and the lady with the real short hair and glasses was so rude and sarcastic towards me. Telling me this should have been done before I got to the post office, etc. if there was a closer usps to where I lived, Id never step foot back into the Kilgore usps again.

I was dropping off mail in the outside boxes around 5:01. The last pickup time is 5:00. The postal worker was standing right beside my car when I drove up so I rolled down my window and handed her a very neatly put together stack of envelopes and told her thank you. She never so much as made eye contact with me or said one word. She just grabbed the stack and walked away mad at the world. It doesnt cost anything to be friendly. It not only will make others feel good, but itll make you feel better about yourself too. I expect better behavior out of us southerners even federal employees.

Their customer service is very unprofessional. They are rude and at some times try to blame each other their own mistakes. I have been trying to talk to someone about why iam not receiving my mail but they just dont care on fixing the problem. I think that if they dont do their jobs correctly they should be fired!!!! They need new people.

Lazy employees if my mail dont fit in the mailbox they leave a pickup slip and not even try to bring a package to my house I dont own a car and have had many packages returned to sender because I have no way to get to the Post Office and I dont have anyone who can pick somthing up before they close I would give half a star if I could.

Posted hours for passport acceptance were from 9am-1pm which was different than what the web stated. But did not cause us trouble. Passport acceptance went very smooth and due to carefully following instructions ahead of time, the process was fast. They quickly worked through all the lines of people and then dealt with our needs.

Always friendly and helpful, this has been my favorite post office to frequent out of several dozen I have used over the years. I do wish that they had some automated systems, like stamp vending machines for use after hours. But the postal workers like Chris always do their best to accommodate people in a difficult CSR job.

Just poor customer service. It doesnt seem like anyone that works there wants to be there at all. And dont get me started on the passport application process. Just save your time and drive to Longview.

They costantly lie about attempts at delivery. I have security cameras and they dont show and claim failed attempts. And constantly make people go to the post office to pick up their mail.
