This location replaced my AC compressor last year...at which time, 1 week later lost all of the Freon they charged it with. I paid $976 for the work performed and it still was not working correctly. I went back, they recharged the ac system and put in dye to detect the leak... It couldnt be found, soooo the technician recommended replacement of the evaporator core in the dash for a mere additional $400 or more. I replaced the evaporator core myself the took it to another place to have it recharged again (another $85) it still lost the Freon, and that new compressor didnt want to engage or turn on...I called the manager there, told them the story...he said he couldnt replace anything under warranty, he said "too many hands had been on the system already". After I told him I would call the base IG and report them he changed his tune and agreed to replace the compressor and fix what was wrong (what I had paid for in the first place) The manager called me 1 day later to tell me the vehicle was "purring like a kitten", upon lifting the hood and checking out the work. I could hear Freon leaking from the upper high pressure tube! They had just charged me another $196 for replacing some other hose (that probably didnt need replacing) soooo, I pulled up to the back of the work bays and flagged a mechanic to check it out...the high pressure cap on that upper line BLEW! OFF!!! It almost hit me right in the face!!!! So the techs said they needed to replace that valve in that line to correct the leak. Did they offer to refund me the 196? NOPE! Yeah I wont take anything back to these guys EVER! I will say, however the ac is working now but it wasnt without going through hell and high water to get it done....There was however one of their mechanics that was very helpful. John Carrera this dude rocks! He told me how to clean my upper air intake and solve an irregular idle problem, the manager however is condescending and dishonest person that only cares about one thing... Money. Peace Out!

I went here for tires and alignment, and kept having to go back over and over. The alignment they gave me caused my tires to wear out on the edges. They killed the battery on my car while working on it. They would make excuses as to why the car couldnt be aligned but still charge full price for alignment. They said that since the trouble was mechanical, that I would be charged full price for replacement fo the tires. Then, when one of the new tires failed just 3 weeks later and a chunk came out, the tire was under warranty. They made me purchase a new warranty, road hazard on the new tires. The manager was very rude and condescending. I confronted him about his condescending behavior and he straightened up and said hed check and see if something could be done. That was 3 weeks ago. I do not recommend going here.

We had just gotten into San Antonio and needed the usual car maintenance done, figured we go here it was on base how could we go wrong. I would never recommend this place, they have rude employees, their online appointment thing is a joke, and their prices are insanely high. We purchased a full car inspection package, thinking it would be beneficial since we just traveled so many miles, you would thinking reading their online description they would top of our fluids or at least inform us that some where low they didnt, so come one day i try and use my wipers i had no fluid. I was so upset thinking, i trusted this place cause it was on base but i feel like they took advantage. So i will not be returning to this location or any firestone for that matter.

The Good: they eventually looked at my vehicle, and didnt charge me for the (lack of) work done. The Bad: I dropped the vehicle off Friday morning with a "couple hour" ETIC. Monday morning I have to call them and remind them that my vehicle exists. Literally. The first words out of their mouth was "we dont have any of that car in here..." a search commences and voila, there it was. They promise to expedite the work... 3 hours later, my car is "next in line". When they finally have a chance to look at my vehicle, they confirm a problem existed but said they couldnt fix it, and forwarded me to the dealership. TL:DR: A complete waste of me and my companys time.

This place is the absolute best!! After taking my car to many mechanics and then given an estimate of $4,000 to "fix" my car, I went on base where I was hoping I would get a fair price for what needed to be done to my vehicle. Not once but twice they have given me my car with NO CHARGE! This last time my car was stating it was overheating, they kept my car for few days and ran tests, cleaned the sensor , and then said it would be no charge for their time. I just think that is so nice and it clearly gains trust. So if you are needing a shop that will give you a fair and honest price go here!! Thank you!!

I have visited this place often. After moving here to SA 5 yrs ago it took awhile to find somewhere to service my vehicles. Micheal is very helpful when I need an appointment or just have concerns. Chris is a great new asset to this store. Chris is always helpful. I have 2 older vehicles. They have been serviced at this location often with great success. Pete is very knowledgeable. Pete is the technician who works on my vehicles often. I would recommend trying this location.

Have had mixed results. I took my car because there was leaking on the passengers side. At the end of the day, they said they couldnt determine what happened even though earlier in the week I was told over the phone that they could. I left specific instructions to call me at my business number, but they only tried my home number. Rather disappointed.

My experience with Firestone was absolutely wonderful!!! Being a person who knows absolutely nothing about cars the manager and techs were patient, nice and answered all of my questions! I felt comfortable leaving my car in their hands! They did a great job! I will refer others to their shop!!!!
