I took my truck in for an estimate to repair the air conditioning system. I was told the liquid line/hose needed replaced because it could not be flushed out. I was given an estimate for $500 to replace the hose, evacuate and recharge the system, and add refrigerant. The estimate was less clear regarding minor parts, shop supplies, and labor. In fact, when I asked for them to be more specific about the labor, they were unable to provide a straightforward estimate. I thanked them for the estimate and called a few other places to see if they would be cheaper/ more straightforward about the labor costs. I found someone who looked at the truck, actually cared to ask about the history, and respectfully spoke with me about the truck. It turns out that the hose that meineke told me could not be flushed could actually be flushed! Also, the REAL problem was that the fan was not consistently working due to regular wear and tear. So the trustworthy mechanic wins my business because 1) he spoke with me honestly about my truck and 2) he had the respectable work ethic to actually find the real problem whereas meineke was simply content with finding any problem. And sadly, meinekes diagnosis was incorrect anyways.

I looked over several mechanic shops throughout Lubbock before heading over to Meineke. This is definitely a great shop with a passionate owner (David) along with the employees. Im from Houston so I was bit cautious when I brought my car here since I didnt know how it was going to be. Ive brought my car back here for any problems Ive had, the people here are reliable and trustworthy, I have never had a problem with their work. They show you whats wrong with the car and even go above and beyond to make sure if there are any more problems to address. And for the people complaining, "oh, they want me to buy this and that", you are not being forced to. Theyre job is to make you aware of any problems your car may have and if you wish so, you order it to be fixed. Just simply say "no thank you" and take it to another mechanic to have it diagnosed.

My wife and I have been taking our cars to Meineke for about a year and a half and have always had good service, they have never tried to sells us something we dont need and they are fast. We recently took my wifes car to get the oil changed the same day we went on a road trip to Dallas. Once we got to Dallas the oil light came on. We checked the oil and it was almost empty. The following day we took the car to the dealership and they told us the problem was the oil filter was not screwed in all the way and was slowly leaking oil (seems like a pretty basic thing to do when you change oil). Once we got back in town we went back to Meineke to ask for the money back, they told us that the car has always had an oil leak and they did not want to refund the money. They eventually did refund the money. Needless to say, we will not be going back.

Im a sales rep from albuquerque. At 4pm on a Monday my brakes started making a horrid noise in Plainview. I called here because its right around the corner from my hotel. David, the manager first said he was completely booked and couldnt get me til the next day. But then he said "tell ya what, bring your car in, and we will at least LOOK at it to see if youll be okay driving it til we can fix it" then while Im sitting in the waiting room, a girl comes in at 5pm for an oil change and he tells her they are all booked til tomorrow as well. She says shes worried her car wont make it home and he tells her he will squeeze her in after closing! Talk about really caring about people! Too bad this shop isnt in my home town!!!

I am a young female who has had difficulty at auto-shops before. I have a 10 yr old truck and it really needed a few things done. They were professional and HONEST with me about everything. Including letting me know that one of the recommended items I needed done really wasnt involved in the safety of the truck so if I wanted to wait on it I could. I brought the truck in at 8:00 on sat. morning and it was ready by 3:45 that day. When i picked it up the person working (manager?) was super helpful and offered to go over everything that had been done and even showed me a part that i had a question about. Absolutely Great service and quality! I will definitely be going back for any other car repair needs I have!

Came here with a coupon for $29 to get my oil changed and my tires rotated and aired up. Got about 20 miles outside of town when my TPMS told me that the pressure was low in my left rear tire. I live 70 miles from Lubbock. Had my fiance bring it back today to get the sensor fixed on it because the pressure was fine (after I aired it up myself because apparently they didnt do that either) and they tell him that they dont have the tools to reset the TPMS. Are you kidding me??? Pretty much every newer vehicle has the TPMS on it, how do they not have the tools to reset it? Such B.S. I recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere to get it worked on. You get what you pay for.

They were not upfront about the conditions of a tmobile tuesday coupon i used. Also once confronted about it the attitude i was given from them left a bad taste in my mouth and the receptionist straight up lied to my face to cover her own ass and also lied about how much oil my vehicle needs in order to run period. Thanks very much but i know my vehicle and i know more about cars than you think. Any ways ive been looking for a new car place to call home and this establishment will definitely NOT be it. If they dont want to be participating in coupon deals then dont take it out on the customer. And if they dont want customers then theyre doing everything right.

Awful. If you are looking for someone to sell you about 4 things you DONT need every time you go in, then this is the place for you. I went in and was told I needed a power steering pump replaced. After it was fixed, my car made a strange grinding noise it had never made before. When I told them about this, they told me it would "go away with a little time." Not only did it never go away, but when I took it back in to get worked on I was told I now needed new hoses as well. What was supposed to be fixed in a few hours has now turned into a three day ordeal. Who would have thought it was so difficult to install a new power steering pump?

Ive taken both mine and my wifes cars to Meineke any time they need maintenance or repairs for the past year and a half. David, the owner, has been in the shop *every* time Ive stopped by. Ive seen firsthand that he will work tirelessly to help as many people as he can on any given day. He and his staff are courteous and hardworking, and the wait has never been too long. David will go out of his way to make sure you are taken care of when you leave. I couldnt recommend this shop highly enough.
