Watch for HUGE mark-ups in parts cost - after I came home from the shop to compare the parts cost of the paid invoice to Advance Auto online prices for my particular vehicle make, I was shocked! Many of the parts were the same part numbers so I now know where they shop. The parts cost on the invoice was between 113% to 149% higher than the cost of parts for a walk-in customer at Advance Auto. I was told I was given a discount but after this comparison, I feel a bit taken by a shop that I have used in the past and have paid plentiful. They do good work but they certainly pad the parts cost. I understand some margin is acceptable but at rates like this, I feel foolish for having believe them and the "discount" received.

I brought my car in because my check engine light was on. They wanted to charge me $76 to give me the results...and this wasnt even for fixing it! Fixing it was going to cost me almost another $300! I have taken my car elsewhere for this same issue in the past and was NEVER charged a dime just for a diagnosis. I think they were just trying to take advantage of a woman that they thought wouldnt know any better. ALSO, it took them 2 hours to give me my results, which seems a little odd considering they had 3 mechanics in the garage shooting the bull and not doing a damn thing. I do NOT recommend any sane person going to this place. SHADY.

"Friendly Honest Service!" I want to say that the Employees at A-1 are so friendly and extremely experienced in vehicle repairs! They make you feel like they are your family and want to make sure you are driving in a safe vehicle. They explain all the repairs needed in a way that even I can understand and then give you a great cost for the repairs. I can recommend them to anyone who wants a friendly, honest, and cost effective repair group. I will be seeing them again and again as my vehicle ages-

Great shop, great techs, and great work. They did a full rebuild on my F-150 trans and it now runs like the day it did when I bought it.
