This post office is incompetent at a systemic level. First, I called them to ask for recommendations on where to place my mailbox, as I was building a house on a country road. They responded with, "just look at your neighbors and do it like they did." I looked at my neighbors, and I picked the one who I thought did it the safest, because theres was up off the road, on the driveway, so that the mail carrier could deliver the mail without having to be parked on a road with no shoulder. Time passed, and I never received any mail or any communication. When I called, they told me I wasnt allowed to put mailbox where I did, because it would take too long for the carrier to deliver the mail and back out of the driveway. When I appealed to the postmaster, Jason, he told me a different story, that it was to protect the drivers from having to back up. If he had ever been on my road, and seen that it had no shoulder, he would have realized that putting the mailbox where I did was much safer than along the road, but I suspect driver safety wasnt his real motivation. So for a week or so, we went in and picked up our mail from the office, since they refused to deliver. During that time, there was rain nearly every day, and it was not feasible to relocate the mailbox. Then one day, when we went in to get the mail, without warning, they informed us that they had returned all our mail to sender and would no longer be accepting any of it. According to tracking receipts, they had apparently informed all the senders that we had moved, which was a flat out lie. When I called the postmaster, Jason, to give him a chance to explain himself, he was obstinate, and insisted they had done nothing wrong. When I called him out for failing to communicate where I should have put my mailbox and that they would be returning all our mail, he again refused to accept any blame for his gross negligence and told me if I didnt know their rules, I should have just googled them. The Mansfield Post Office is very lucky they are in an industry with no competition, because they would be all individually fired, and the office shut down. Jason and his staff are grossly incompetent, and negligent in their duties to properly communicate their expectations and deliver the most basic of services to their constituency.

I wish there was a way to give them a zero star. I drove up to this location this morning to inquire about getting a passport for my son since the phone was busy. I was told by the clerk that the cutoff time for passports is 3:45 pm. I took my son out of school and got to the location at 3:15 pm to be told that I cannot get the passport today because they are 3 people ahead of me to be processed and he gets off at 4 pm. Wow!!! I could not believe my ears. The family behind me was given the same information on the phone earlier and they had 2 kids they pulled out of school. It was not concern to this individual that kids had to be pulled out of school and the fact that we were standing there 45 minuted prior to closing. Tax payers money being used greatly and where is customer service?

Walked in the door at 5:23. I know this because I checked my phone when I walked in. And yet, they had already put up the barrier. I went ahead and went up to the counter as did another customer a minute or two later. The only employee at the desk was helping someone so we waited. Another employee came out and asked if we were dropping stuff off, but we indicated that we needed postage. He rather rudely informed us that they were closed and that they close at 5:30. I looked at my phone. It was 5:27. When we told him that it wasnt 5:30 yet, he became snippy and told us that it was and in fact it was nearly 5:45. Apparently, they go by their computers and he absolutely refused to even consider that the computer was wrong.

Went in two times almost a month ago to do a change of address and mail is still being sent to the old address. Even put a hold on my mail and both guys at the counter said when the hold expires your mail will forward to the new address. Will got a text from the people that now live at my old address and they got all my hold mail. I asked about just doing the change of address online and they told me no you will get charged $40. So I filled out the card not even sure they did anything with it.

I go to this post office every single week to mail packages to the corp. office. Yes, sometimes there is a line (duh its a post office)! No one in here has ever been rude, mean or disrespectful! ALL of the employees are always helpful and very nice. Some of them are cutting up with the customers and really trying to make it a nice experience, even though we have to stand in line and wait. I really do not understand the bad reviews!

to apply for a child passport literally impossible, they call out first person in line at 8:20 am , it seens out of USA, unnecessary long line, not an option online, office take for ever to process documents, right place to waste your whole day. Come very early Saturday, like 6 am to be one of the first in line. dont use blue ink for passport forms, they send u back. Each applicant takea 20 min:(

Very sad. You are forced to pay higher premiums for service from the US postal service and at 6pm we still do not have our mail nor did they pick up the outgoing mail for today. You call the office and there is no answer just a busy signal. Very poor service. You can not count on anyone with the postal service.

Their phone is always off the hook. I have had several online order get sent to the wrong house, or not delivered at all. When I check the tracking online. Its states that the package has been delivered, but when I call. They seem to always find that its still on the truck.

Business hours on a week day are normally between 9-5. So why would you try to deliver a package to a business on a Saturday morning at 8:34 a.m.? With no reattempt. Can some tell me what sense this makes?

Packages left at office that should have been put in box. Why pay extra for priority service when your package is not delivered to you and you get it later than you should!

This Post Office is the worst. Terrible customer service from this guy named JASON that answers the phone when he feels like it and is sometimes very rude.
