One of the worst experiences! I asked when I booked the appointment for my daughter how much the cut would cost (yes, I explained that we needed to cut her long hair shorter to trim out the blue color so she could go back to school) and they quoted $30 on the phone. Then they charged us $35 for the cut. We presented ourselves at the appointed time and spoke to a girl at the front desk, and told her who we were and that we had an appointment with Annie. I thought she said, "She is still with a client, if you want to wait right over here." Then this same girl came to get my daughter and took her back to get her hair washed. The she proceeded to start cutting her hair. She never said "Hi, Im Annie". She did not introduce herself at all. I tried to explained what I was looking for in a hair cut for my daughter...tapered from front to back...shorter around the face and longer in the back. This girl hacked my daughters hair off straight across in a blunt cut, and way too short! When I expressed my displeasure she said, "Ill finish the cut after I blow dry it" I have NEVER been to a salon where they cut AFTER they blow it dry! I asked her to put some layers in so it was not so sever, she sort of did, but after two tries I finally just wanted to get out of there. I will let my daughters hair grow out for a few months and then find a decent hair dresser to take her to and try to repair the damage. Terrible customer service, and the girl we got did not seem to know what she was doing.

Please dont get your hair dyed here. They have no clue what they are doing. They turned my wifes hair blue. She asked for blonde not blue. They told her to go home and wash it out. It should come out. No it should be what she paid for when she leaves there. No surprise but the blue did not come out. Now she needs to go somewhere else and pay someone to fix it. Which will probably cost more than the original dye.

Best place to get a haircut. Love Aveda salons. This one is right in the heart of downtown McKinney too. Parking isnt too bad.
