My experience at Crucible Krav Maga has been amazing! The facility is very nice, the staff is friendly and every visit to the school has been tremendous. The instructors are experienced and have been trained not only in the self defense and fitness of Krav Maga, but have been trained to effectively teach students at any level. It doesnt matter who walks in through that door or how much training you have, these instructors will make sure that you get what are you are looking for whether that be fitness, self-defense, flexibility...anything! The kettlebell and primal move classes are also fantastic. You dont really find many people who are experienced with kettlebell and strength training but these guys really know what theyre doing. The kickboxing class is also a must, especially for people who are looking to get back into shape! The kickboxing instructors will really push you to meet whatever goals you have set for yourself, and I have seen some incredible results on not only myself, but others who attend the classes. Krav Maga is also an excellent way to get back into shape while also learning practical skills in self-defense. The group classes really allow you to work with others and learn from some of the best instructors in the country. I was pleased to see how much I was really learning and how fast. The curriculum developed allows the student to learn self-defense techniques in an efficient and effective manner while having also having a lot of fun! The facility and equipment is clean--which is definitely an important factor for me. Everyone, staff and members, is welcoming and friendly! I would definitely encourage those of you with fitness, self-defense, strength goals, or even just someone looking for a new hobby, to check this place out!

My girlfriend and I have been members of Crucible for going on 5 months, and we love it! Krav Maga is a self-defense system that is effective, realistic, and intuitive. One of the aspects I enjoy most about this school, is that the curriculum is varied each night. For instance, Monday may incorporate gun defense techniques (higher level), and Tuesday will focus on blocking defense techniques (more basic level), with this approach to Krav I am definitely engaged more, versus the same technique for days, weeks, or months in a row. While this may seem daunting to newer members, trust me, its not. The instructors at Krav are very welcoming of people from all walks of life, and are patient and thorough when demonstrating techniques to newer and seasoned members alike. After practicing Krav Maga, you gain the confidence that you will be able to handle yourself in situations in whichever you have to defend yourself or a loved one. Kettle bell is an excellent supplement to the Krav class (one hour time slot before Krav). It is not set-up to wear you out before class (although you can if you want), but to help strength you, especially in the areas of the body that are typically more utilized in Krav techniques. All in all, definitely put Crucible on you short to-do list!

I am currently deciding between 2 Krav Maga facilities in the city I recently moved to and wanted to share my thoughts on Crucible Krav Maga Plano with anyone reading these reviews. I was a member of the Plano facility in 2015 and these people are awesome. This isnt a non-profit business, but when I was laid off from my job and was cutting back expenses they offered to keep me a member in their system for 2 months at no cost. It just shows at the end of the day there are good, caring and compassionate people who run this place. In addition to that, these same people are well versed and very knowledgeable in this field. From my own personal experience, they dont just want your money. They want to help people and do whats right for their members. If I didnt move out of state for work and was still in Dallas, then I would have signed up again without hesitation. Thank you Crucible Krav Maga. I hope the new facility I join has the same ethics as you.

I really like this place and would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a skill in addition to sweating. I came here for the kettlebells, so thats what this review is about. Training with kettlebells requires skill and attention to form. If you just want to zone out on a treadmill, this is not for you. The training will get you strong and well-conditioned. The instructors here have certifications from the two top kettlebell organizations and they care about teaching their students. The other thing I love about this place is that theyre building a great community of people. The gym I went to before this one turned out to be pretty sleazy and not a place for women or families. But this is a clean place and scores very low on the lechery scale. From what I can tell, theyre really good people who do business with honesty and integrity. I see that some of the other reviews confirm that. Two big thumbs up!

CRUCIBLE KRAV MAGA is the Jack of all trades! Not only are the instructors some of the best in the country, they are kind and motivating... but also know when and how to push you to the next level. Learning Krav Maga, self defense is made easy by repetition and great instruction. The group classes offer a dynamic setting for mastering skills. The kickboxing class is an awesome workout that gets you moving and is a great stress reliever! Kettlebell strength training and bodyweight strength training enable you to reach that next level. Not only will it improve your krav maga skills, it will improve your strength, health, and flexibility. Crucible offers so many great classes that work together to give you an awesome workout, but more importantly they give you the skills to protect yourself and your family. A++++++++

Amazing place! I am a woman in my twenties and fit in perfectly. The Krav helps me feel more confident and my Kettlebelll workout is tailored to my fitness level to overcome my obesity. The trainers are super welcoming and authentically care about the students. The schedule is very flexible, the facility is clean, and organized. Sandy Burris, Mike Coffin, Nolan and all the trainers are super patient and work with everyone as individuals, you do not get lost in the crowd. Sandy Burris especially is very dedicated to her students and has helped tailor my workout to my needs: vegetarian, injuries, obese etc. After 3 months I already see a positive change in my stamina, mood, and weight.

Crucible is absolutely the only place you need to go to, to get fit, motivated, encouraged and gain the skills needed to protect yourself in a life threatening situation. Crucible offers a wide range of classes that cater to young and old, novice and expert alike. The instructors and owner are the best at what they do and are eager to pass their skills and knowledge to anyone and everyone willing to absorb it. The facility is large and clean, and there is an abundance of equipment available including pads, mitts, gloves, training (rubber/plastic) weapons, kettle bells, weights, punching bags, jump ropes, sand bags etc!!!! I love crucible!

I was injured outside of class and there was absolutely no hassle with stopping training for a bit. Mike let me start back up almost a year later, resuming the program without additional fees. Very friendly instructors and you can tell they want to help you be better, not just take your money. You will love classes here and will be learning a very good form of martial arts that has real world application, not mirror watching!
