This place is terrible. The body work is suspect, the agents are unprofessional, and the manager is incompetent with terrible customer service skills. I dropped my MDX off after an accident and I was told it would be complete in 1 month. It initially took 2 months. When I finally picked it up there were obvious problems with it that were not repaired during those 2 months. The bumper had several inconsistencies and there were paint chips throughout. The body work was clearly never reviewed before authorizing its release to me (the parts were also reconditioned - despite the car being brand new (less than 5K miles)). I was told to drive it for the weekend and if I noticed anything else to bring it back so they could fix everything at once. I drove it for the weekend and on Monday asked to drop it off again. I was told it could not be dropped off because they did not have a loner available for me. I then waited 3 week and followed up (they had forgotten about me). They apologized and said a loner was now available. When I dropped it off the second time, I was told it would be ready in 2-3 days. It took another week. When I went to finally pick it up I noticed that not everything was fixed. The left panel on the drivers side window was detached. For the second time I was given the car without it being inspected for body work. I left it again for another week and was told it was ready to be picked up in a few days. When I picked it up (3rd attempt) there was hail damage throughout the car. I couldnt believe it. I was told that they didnt notice all the hail damage when they called me to pick it up (3rd time it was not inspected before calling me and claiming it was ready). I asked to speak to the manager - Brian Tucker - and he told me that I am responsible for the hail damage, not them, even though the car was in their possession. They didnt offer me any options other than to leave the car with them, pay a deductible, and have them repair the hail damage, i.e. give them more business. Brian was extremely disinterested and unsympathetic. I explained that my car was supposed to get fixed in 1 month and it took over 3. Each time I was called to pick it up there were obvious problems and it was clear it never got fully fixed or inspected. I explained that after more than 3 months its in worse condition now with the hail damage than it was the last time I attempted to pick it up. It was clear to me that he could care less. His response was "im sorry there is nothing I can do. We provide good service, look at our reviews." This place is terrible. The body work is suspect, the agents are unprofessional, and the manager is incompetent with terrible customer service skills.

I should have looked at these reviews before taking my truck to this place. As suggested by my insurance as their premier service account, I choose this place to do my collision repair. The service manager Tim was a had good intention but very disconnected with the mechanic. After 4 weeks of rebuilding my bumper, they fail to check to make sure that everything is working again. My AC did not work, one of my head lights didnt work and my radio stopped working. I had to bring my truck back to them 3 times so they can get it fix. Just so you know, this entire time, Ive never talked to the mechanic. First , the AC. Tim the service manager said we might have forgotten to check that and asked me to leave him the car for a few days. He calls me back in 4 days to tell me that the compressor was bad and leaking. But there was no sign of damage so the insurance will not cover it. This was a different battle that I had to fight. 2nd, the headlight, again, if you were to do collision rebuild to the front end of the truck, would you check everything to make sure that its working before you get the customer to pick it up. I had to bring it back in cause my wife told me that one of my headlight was out but it wasnt hooked up at all. 3rd, the radio antenna cable was cut. Tim said that they had to take the quarter panel off to access that side of the engine, so they had to unhook the antenna. My guess is that they didnt know that they had cut my antenna cable. If you are wondering, this info. and pics were shown to me by Toyota. 3 months later, I had to pay for the AC compressor and labor $1200. The headlights, David McDavid mechanic were able to just plug the connectors back in. 30 sec job. And the Antenna assembly and labor $490 pay by insurance to Toyota who got the job done right. Thats who I should have gone to in the first place. I dont like writing bad reviews but man, this place cause me 3 months of headaches, phone calls and time away from work. Im not going back to this place.

David McDavid was a part of a very unpleasant experience that I had after I was involved in an accident. After the accident, my car was towed to a different body shop. They didnt have the right winch, so my car was towed to David McDavid. I had a very difficult time getting in touch with the guy in charge of my car. I told him, due to the amount of time it was taking that I was going to call regularly for updates. After a couple days, he stopped answering my calls and returning my calls. I finally had to drive to David McDavid just to get an update. It may seem excessive, but I really needed those updates, as my rental coverage was getting set to expire. When I drove to McDavid, the guy was just as friendly and "helpful" as could be. After I explained for the tenth time about how worried I was over the rental, he assured me that maybe he could work something out and they would cover a few days of the rental. When my car was finally finished, he told me, no, he couldnt help because of the circumstances. He never clarified what that meant, or why he offered in the first place. To top it all off, I had something stolen out of my center console. I dont blame David McDavid completely for my bad experience, but I sure had a bad taste in my mouth after dealing with them. Given how stressful a car accident is, David McDavid contributed rather than alleviated my stress levels

This place is a Joke. I dont know why this is still Acura certified. They have one of the poorest courtesy /professionalism I have ever seen with anyones vehicle repair experience. I am waiting to get my car repaired for several months. My car was originally repaired more than a year ago and then I started getting issues one by one around the same area where the repair was done. When approached my insurance company (beginning of 2017) they adjusted immediately and asked me to give the car for repairs. McDavid should have called me as soon as they get money or order parts and call me when the parts have arrived. They collected the money from my Insurance provider months ago. I called them several times and spoke to "Ron Fazio" and he would never come back to me. My insurance co. has provided the proof of checks that were sent and still he would never respond on email or phone. I have never seen any body doing like this. My Car is in horrible state and I have no options left or just call Acura complaining about this. After this I will never recommend this place to Anyone. I cannot go to other place now as they have money from insurance and the warranty they have given on original repairs.
