Horrible experience with these guys; also known as Jimmys Lock and Key Shop. Guy named Doug came out to re-key my door. He pulled out old cylinder head and attempted to put in a so called "new" cylinder head he pulled out of his pocket (no packaging or anything). Since he couldnt get it to fit he immediately blamed someone else of tampering with it and went to condo manager to ask who and she replied no one from her records (he even asked her to pay him for the job??). Then he called me from downstairs and said hed put in the original back in place for $150. Of course I said no, and he left leaving me with a hole in the door. Then I called a guy who claimed to be the store owner to explain the issue and he didnt seem to care one bit, even was cursing during the conversation. Very unprofessional. They are banned from my building. Warning look elsewhere or possibly get scammed.

I had a storm door lock I wanted rekeyed to match my house key. I had went to home depot and lowes but they referred me to a lock smith since they didnt know how the lock piece worked. I found online how to rekey the exact lock I had (since it was so different) and called this company to verify they would be able to help me. I am not sure who answered, but I asked about rekeying the storm door lock that was different but I had the instructions on how to do so and he said "If you have the instructions, why dont you do it yourself?" So either he has no experience rekeying or he is just flat out rude. Either way, this company will not get my business.

I worked with Matt to change out the handle and broken lock on my old pickup - I found Matt to be very professional and courteous, and a real craftsman. Matt performed the work at my convenience, and charged me exactly the price quoted. I checked with several locksmiths before I selected Hinsco Safe and Lock. The other locksmiths were more concerned with making a buck at my expense rather than solving a problem for me. Matt struck me as being very knowledgeable, and committed to doing things right. I am glad I found him, he will get all of my work in the future.

I have worked with Hinsco for more than ten years. They have always been fair and trustworthy and their service is wonderful. A previous church I worked for we had a break-in. They thief took the master set of keys so we had to get the church completely re-keyed. They took the extra time to stamp the numbers on keys for a new security plan set in place. When I changed employers, I have called on Hinsco to do all of our repairs. If I need repairs or installation of door handles, door closer, new keys, change locks they are the only ones I call!!

I work in an 8 story office in uptown Dallas. Hinsco has been my go to locksmith for many years (probably almost 15 years) and they ALWAYS do excellent work with a very quick response time. They have made countless keys, maintained our master key system, rekeyed locks, replaced lock cores, repaired problem locks, and installed various types of locks in many types of doors from high end wood doors to glass doors with metal frames. I have NEVER been disappointed in their work or their prices. I highly recommend them for anything you need.
