Feedback for owners: 1. two entrances where line forms to place order which causes constant confusion about where the end of the line is. Maybe expand waiting area or place signage to help customers know where to get in line? 2. No menu posted in view--just papers on the counter and a little board on side wall... this causes people to spend an abnormally long amount of time placing an order because many arent able to see the menu until they get to the counter (and Not everyone looks at online menu)... this is especially frustrating during busy times as it tacks on a lot of unnecessary waiting time. It would helpful if a general menu was posted where everyone could see it as theyre standing in line waiting. Also, theres a single ordering point... would help to move line along if there was a second ordering line. 3. One time I was waiting for a to-go order at the bar and saw an employee mixing an arugula salad with her bare hands. She did not wash before or after and handled utensils/plates before and after. 4. Order fulfillment is slow and disorganized. Ordered a single mimosa and had to ask multiple times for staff to bring it to table. When to-go orders are placed that include baked goods (cake slices, brownies, etc.), you have to ask for them to be packed in advance... otherwise, your food order will be ready but missing the baked goods... and then you have to flag someone down and wait. This has happened to me 3 out of 3 occasions. (I asked for the cake slices in advance on the 4th) 5. One time I noticed there was no carrot cake in the display, but saw one in plain sight sitting in the fridge. Wanting to order a few slices, I asked if I could purchase slices from the cake in the fridge. The counter staff seemed unsure and turned around to ask "Chef" who firmly said I would need to order the carrot cake cupcakes from the counter display first... when I expressed my desire to have the actual carrot cake, she said "theyre the same thing." All in all, this place has potential for long-term success with some operational refinements that will enable efficiency and sustainability.

The service was great and the staff very friendly. The restaurant looked very clean and tidy 9:45 am Sunday, 5/29/16. The spinach and goat cheese quiche was good but it was served luke warm. The salad that came with it was also delicious. We also has the SA pancake stack. It was not served as stated on the menu, "organic peaches and vanilla custard whip cream (real maple syrup and grass fed butter). The pancakes were very good but they did not have peaches or any kind of whipped cream. There were only 4 banana slices. The syrup was not maple but more like Aunt Jemimas. Lastly, and probably the biggest reason Im rating so low is that I saw one of the cooks [the one wearing the faded red ball cap] go into the restroom wearing his apron. There are hooks outside the door to hang the apron. I couldnt help but wonder what other health standards he or the other staff were forgetting.

Whether you stop by for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or the ever popular Sunday brunch, 5 Points Local delivers an amazing meal. When you begin with clean and predominantly local food, prepare it on site and cook it to order, you cant lose. There is a good variety of options to choose from and after eating there often over the past year, I have been overwhelmingly pleased with their food, baked goods, juices and coffee. The chefs listen to the customers and can adapt their menu to accommodate most dietary restrictions. The people working there are always friendly and helpful . The atmosphere is peaceful and inviting. Parking at the restaurant is limited, but there is a vacant lot next door that most people use,and street parking is allowed. I highly recommend trying out this hidden gem.

I am so very happy I found this place back in July when I came to visit family for a month I left back home at the end of July and I came back in September and this is definitely my go-to place when Im downtown. The food is amazing and awesome and I love that they just extended their hours by one hour although I do wish that it would be open later till like maybe 10 oclock p.m. I dont know if theyre entertaining that or not but I guess it doesnt matter for me anymore because I will be gone and Im going back home to San Diego on December 1st. But I do love this place and I definitely will come back and what I do love the most is the food is really really good its very delicious and the menu is not overwhelming and its portable thats what I like

We were looking for something to ease our breakfast or at the same time be healthy and gluten-free. Were not a gluten-free couple but we do eat gluten light. This was a great discovery. The quiche was awesome came in a small salad everything that is cooked is made for Janet product. And the entire establishment is gluten free. My wife had the Five Point breakfast which was delightful it consisted of bacon some black beans very fluffy eggs sweet potato hash and an awesome sauce. The blue corn tortillas or perfect. Enjoy the coffee and met the chef. The staff was friendly and professional. We also share pancakes. In my opinion they are a must. And oh yeah remember completely gluten-free

Went here for breakfast and it was an interesting place to have a meal you do not feel guilty in eating. My wife is on a Whole 30 diet and she quickly found something she could enjoy by just removing a couple of ingredients (Warrior Bowl). I had the Clean Plate which had just the right amount of food. The only suggestion would be to post up something that stated you order prior to sitting. I came when a lot was happening. With a Yoga session about to start (this appeared to be upstairs) and a line at the counter, a first timer would not really know what is going on since there is not a host to greet you at the door. This place is definetly a must try.

My wife is gluten sensitive and we are always looking for a new spot to have lunch. Most restaurants gluten free/friendly menu consist of menu items that are already gluten free such as steak, salad or grilled items. This restaurant has a great selection of different items that are specifically gluten free (of course the restaurant itself is gluten free). The lunch we had was excellent and my wife loved the bread (always a hit or miss at most gluten free places). I am definitely glad we found this restaurant and will come back again and again and again.

We have a daughter who is sensitive to gluten and eggs. It is a rarity to find a place where she can eat and we all like the food. She had an oatmeal bowl that was like a piece of pie with dried fruit that she loved and because she didnt eat much for dinner had a granola with almond milk. My other daughter had fabulous pancakes which I shared. My husband had the scramble of the day. Everything was delicious and beautifully plated. Friendly staff too. Definitely, worth driving a few minutes out of your way to eat here.
