Fat tummy use to have a restaurant then went to food truck. Now theyre trying to get stationed again as a restaurant. The owners are great and like to make the customers feel extremely comfortable. I myself like to know about the company so as i sat down and ate i talked to the owner. The owners are from Argentina and really have the determination to make you feel at home. The empanadas are to die for! The have several varieties like a pizza one or more traditional like beef and potatoe or spicy chicken. They also make a sauce to go with it that is different then most places you can find. They offer to go empanadas that i also bought that you can heat up. I brought it to my brothers house and it was the hit of Thanksgiving. The heating instructions for taking home i found was a bit too short. I recommend baking for a good 20-25 minutes instead of 10 minutes. I recommend trying this place at least once. You wont be disappointed. Every friend and family member i have taken loved it. Since theyre trying to establish a restaurant right now they are starting in a convenient store in the kitchen area. Dont let the outside fool you. This place is worth it. An empanada is about $4 which is packed with the fixings. You can also buy a dozen for about $36. So they really give you a great deal. They also make fruit empandas for certain regions that are use to fruit ones. They offer pumpkin, pan dulce, apple, pineapple and guava w/ cream cheese. These are dessert ones so they are smaller and cheaper. I hope you enjoy it! Till next review.

Wow! I heard about this place from a friend and its just around the corner from where I work. We went in with high expectations and the food does not disappoint. Each empanada was less than $3. I had 2 but could have eaten 3 of them. They are baked, not fried, and are made fresh to order. The couple that own this place run the business on their own and are very kind and humble. My only complaint was the length of time it took to get our food so I recommend calling in your order ahead of time. The place is very quaint but clean. We will definitely be going back and will refer everyone at work to this place.

My wife is from Colombia and Im from Argentina. We are thinking about moving to San Antonio. One of the things that I wanted was to have a good place where to get Empanadas. We found it, their Empanadas are light and full of great stuffing. Not like the ones you get in most Argentinian restaurants in Miami. The owners are very nice family and their food is excellent. Are you kidding me !! 8 authentic freshly homemade empanadas and big salad and 4 cokes for 21 bucks. Im soo fat and happy right now :-) Come on SouthSiders there are 2 taco places on every corner around here. Try something new for Christs sake. Definitely will continue to visit 5 Stars.

Excellent empanadas, Argentinian style! The best in town. I love the salsa on the side too. The owner is super nice. Everything is home-made, even the dough. I like that they are oven baked and not greasy.
