Called them out for a drain install on my shower floor. We spoke to their representative on the phone, who told us our job was relatively simple and would take 1-3 hours, which would have come out to $150-$250. However, they showed up with not only the plumber, but his "assistant" as well, so we were billed double the rate for the time they were there (despite the fact that it was a small space and one man could have done the job). Then they ran and got a tool (called a chipping hammer) that you would think would be in a standard plumber toolkit, given the fact that they routinely have to go through concrete. After using the tool, showering my bedroom, clothes, and furniture with dust (they didnt close the bathroom door), I see the plumber packing up the tool to take back. I ask him "You all share that one tool back at the office then?" and he replied that they dont own it; it was a rental! In the end, I was charged not only for the rental of a tool they should have owned, but also the time it took him to pick it up and the mileage to and from the rental! Final bill: around $750. Of course, with no up front quotes to hold them to, they can get by with all these surprise charges and extra hours. My advice: get a quote up front, dont let someone skate by with "its this much per hour", and definitely do not use A-1 Tri-County Plumbing. (PS: They told me the ridiculous name with "A-1" in front is so they come up first in the phone book).

After calling and making an appointment four days prior the plumber never called or showed up. This is after calling on the appointment day and verifying on that day that the appointment was indeed scheduled. After the time window passed I called Tri-County Plumbing and asked if the plumber was running late or whatever. The receptionist then informed me that there was no work order or scheduled appointment. I spoke to the office manager and she then insinuated that the plumber called and I failed to answer the call. After not getting anywhere because she was incapable of understanding how could someone call me if there was no W/O as they claimed. I asked to speak to the owner and was told he would call me back. Now three days later I am still waiting. If the owner doesnt care how could the employees give a damm either. This is a poor way to run a business.

I am a first time customer and was very happy with the service provided. The plumber arrived on time, was very pleasant and pointed out several other problems causing damage to my home, we were given an up front total for repairs, no estimated time and hourly rate, we choose to do the repairs and are very happy we did. i will use them again when a problem may arise, and of course recommend them! Thank you for your amazing service!

Tried to get a water softener installed. They sent an estimator who was a week later than they said hed be. Then he looked around and started trying to sell us filters and "scale busters" while knowing I had already purchased the softener. The grand finale was when he quoted us a super high figure as if to say he really didnt want to bother with it.

One person to install a part costing $26.50 taking 30 minutes to do so, yet getting charged 2 hours for a "plumber" and a "plumbers helper" is ridiculous and bad business. I attempted to get some resolve with the owner with no response. I suppose I shouldnt be surprised. Business ethics is a foreign concept to these people it seems.

Paid 30 bucks for them to tell Me that the "plumber" they sent cant fix a plumbing problem. Horrible. Contacted supervisor who stuck up for worker without seeing for his self or offering to give second opinion. Do not recommend. Just call Ott out of new braunfels

We had an emergency plumbing problem that could have been a disaster if not for this company. They were prompt, explained the problem and did the repairs. I think their prices were reasonable. I will recommend them to my friends and family.
