I lived inside the Loop for 10 y, and had great USPS service, and the employees were personable, informative. Also, the old PO @ IAH was a going concern when they were open 24/7 and they were gems to work with, when I was on deadline, and needed a dated postmark. This office is the exception and they are pathetic in nearly every way. I go to great lengths to use only the 24/7 automated boxes for mailing pkgs or use another USPS altogether now. 1. I had 3 pkg sent to me when a relative downsized - 2 pkg arrived and the 3rd pkg arrived destroyed and empty. This office claimed that they received it this way, but this has not happened to me before, ever, and I have used USPS for 20 y. Wouldnt you know that the destroyed pkg was the one with the sterling silver pieces in it, and the only pkg with monetary value of any kind? 2. I took a 5 week "vacation" for a holiday / job search, and, in full disclosure, I did not take the time to put a hold on my mail. I returned to find my mailbox empty and a note from the PO that the "new tenant" should give the PO a name so that they could start mail delivery. WITHOUT any consultation to my Apartment Office, where they would have found my rent to be paid and current, they unilaterally decided that I had moved and returned all of my mail, including utility bills, football game tickets from UCLA, school transcripts that I had paid for, and other items. When I left several notes for the PO worker that I had not moved and that I would like my mail resumed, she refused to resume my mail, due to "my rudeness". I had to go into the PO a few times, until I reached her supervisor to get everything straightened away. I can have a bit of understanding to the 1st decision, even if it was unilateral. Always in the past, though, they just hold the mail for some time. I have no tolerance or agreement about the extra trouble it took to get the *&^^%%^&*(*@ mail resumed after they were made aware that I was back in town. 3. 3/20/2014 - update on this same PO, now I will no longer have anything to do with these guys, and, if I had the time and knew how to do it, I would have them investigated. I went to ship packages, and the 24/7 automatic vending machines were down, so I went through the counter people. 5 pkg. sent - 4 arrived, and 5th package had been broken into and contents removed. No rhyme or reason - removed items were stain removal chemicals - one was bought off the shelf @ Walmart and the other one had been mail ordered to me through the USPS. Clearly, they are opening the packages, or they would not have known about these items as I did not declare them, since they had already been sent in the mail to me. These people are paranoid, thieves, and overall, unscrupulous.

Dont do your passport there. I Went there on Feb 6 2017 to get my passport processed and the ignorant fools Monique, Charlotte Burnett, and Darrell LaVergne rejected my application. All because after they were giving me nothing but condescending attitude I asked them if Im a slave...Apparently because they are black Im not allowed to say the word "slave" without triggering them into not doing their work anymore. I asked them to put the reason in writing and then they kicked me off the premises. So I called the next day to get the name and number of their Supervisor, they wouldnt give it to me and kept hanging up on me for an hour while I called back over and over. Then I got a knock on my door from Montgomery County Sheriff Dept and they told me if I ever step foot on that property I will be arrested for criminal trespassing. Here it is now Feb 17, 2017 and I have calling everyone I can to try and straighten this up and everyone From Wash D.C., postal inspectors, General Postmaster keeps starting arguments with me and then eventually hanging up on. No one will even tell me on premise they have a right to not process my passport, call the cops on me, or keep hanging up on me. These people are the epitome of the federal government and all the damage it provides while under the guise of helping! I asked Charlotte Burnett if she even knows what the first 4 pages of the 6 page DS-11 states and she said, "I dont have to know, youre not gonna process your passport here because I dont have to put up with your attitude"...Apparently I have to put up with theirs? I had planned a trip to Canada to meet family on Feb.21, 2017, so much for that...THANKS PANTHER CREEK...Oh and by the way Thanks again for calling the cops!!! The audacity of you people, you people were worthless the first time I went and you call the cops to make sure I don’t go back??? GET OVER YOURSELVES!

This post office is the worst Ive ever dealt with. USPS generally is rarely known for their glowing personalities or friendly service but there are a few employees here that should NEVER have been given a job in a customer-facing position ANYWHERE. I mailed a package to a buyer and deposited it into a night drop box. It appears it will never be seen again. Although tracking was included with the postage I purchased no tracking has ever been updated. The manager insists it is impossible that one of her employees could have stolen the package and further insists that it must be at the North Houston sort facility, although it has never been scanned in there either. She admits that her employees "dropped the ball" in not scanning the pkg at her facility but can offer no further resolution, which means there is NO resolution whatsoever. She advised me to call 800 Ask-USPS, Customer Relations, Customer Services (apparently different), and my congressman (is that a joke?!). I told her I already have and am continually sent in an endless circle and am repetitively told that the pkg is simply lost in an endless sea of pkgs at the sort facility, and has been for nearly two weeks now. Through this experience I have discovered just how rude and incompetent USPS employees and management are and find it baffling that they are still in business, much less that they EVER deliver a SINGLE pkg correctly and on time. I recommend using UPS or FedEx. You would even be better off hand delivering your packages yourself. It would be FAR less hassle in the not-so-rare event that something goes wrong. I would give this location ZERO stars if it were possible.

First let me tell you something.... THIS IS A DANG POSTAL OFFICE. These ladies do not have time to consistently kiss yall funky behinds to make you feel good about yourself. Now that I have cleared this horrible misconception up, hello you beautiful people. These workers are completely awesome, professional, and down right quick. Today I applied for my passport through this location. Not only was I amazed about the short period of time I was in the office, but how quick they answered my questions and concerns. DO NOT COME TO ANY POST OFFICE WITHOUT GETTING YOUR INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS TOGETHER AND THINK YOURE GOING TO BE IN AND OUT!!!!!! These workers here are very consistent with their work ethic and customer service. Some reviews I have read state that the workers need more training. No darling you need to get your head out of the clouds and follow directions. People come to the post office wanting the workers to fill out their documents for them. That is not their job!!!!!! Get your lazy behinds over to the counter top, take 1 minute to fill out the form, and allow the workers to do their jobs. Thank you.
