I took my vehicle in to get inspected once and spoke with a gentleman by the name of Jim who was very nice. Jim asked me if I lived near and if I have been here before. I informed him I lived down the road in a gated community and that I have never been at Accurate Auto. Without being pushy but very sincere he asked if one day I could give them a try, which he would love to earn my business. He gave me the down home feeling and was extremely sincere. I told him that I have a son that has just turned 15 and a truck I bought in four days before he was born that he wishes to have for his first truck. It needs a lot of work done and also want to make sure it is safe to drive. I asked him if he wanted to work on this as a slow 4 to 6 month project fixing things as we go. He said no worries, if I were to give him a chance to earn my business that he would be glad to help me with this project with the understanding that it will be done over the course of six months. Jim came back and told me that he looked it all over and total cost was around 2500.00 give or take a few 100. I was not looking to dump 2500.00 all at once which is the reason this was a project. We agreed with the original plan and he started the work. Few weeks later, maybe 3 to 5, I get a call saying that the truck is finished and I need to come and pick it up. OK? So I went to the shop to make a payment which is what was agreed with for this project. I was informed from this Lady name Cindy that Jim is no longer there, who was Accurate Auto Center if you ask me, and that now that they are a corporation they don’t do projects or take payments. Ok, that makes no sense at all and I don’t care, that is not the deal I made. She was very, very rude and I ended up paying for it all at once in fear that my truck would get stolen. They sent me a letter saying they would not keep it inside as it cost them to much gas to drive it 5 feet everyday. My opinion is to stay clear of this place and especially the new Owners or “corperation”.

Remain happy w/ Accurate. This visit car was fixed same day after being initially warned might take multiple days waiting on parts. Brought in car just before closing Wednesday evening after AC chilling (not blower) abruptly failed Wednesday a.m. Accurate had changed compressor ~6 months back. Was also recently told prior by another shop where had wheels aligned, that car needed power steering flush, but Accurate had replace a leaking PS pump at same time as AC compressor (after AC clutch mechanism failed due to PS pump leak). Told alignment/tire shop I’d have Accurate check the PS fluid, and so alerted Accurate this visit. After a some initial confusion on what was wrong w/ AC and time needed to repair, learned from Accurate late Thursday a.m., that a chip module that controls AC had failed and could be replaced same day. PS fluid was indeed very dirty, which was told may mean failing rack, as fluid had been changed when new pump was installed. So Accurate flushed PS and asks car be brought back in two weeks to check fluid quality. Also asked and received estimate on timing belt (big expense and have to budget for it or sell car), which car is due for soon at 120K miles, which when done right involves replacing all accessible parts when old timing belt is removed that won’t survive the new timing belt. Car was repaired early Thursday p.m. So again, I’m happy with Accurate service.

I had my radiator flushed at Accurate 3 months ago, and 2 days ago my radiator overheated on the way home. I had it towed to Accurate and the next day I was told that "today was my lucky day because all it needed was a new cap and a thermostat." 3 days later I get a call to come in and pay a $325 bill. I have several problems with this: 1) I had my radiator serviced at this shop 3 months ago, and I feel they should stand behind their work. Their explanation that "My radiator cap seal was bad" doesnt ring true. A friend of mine who is a mechanic said it was more likely they didnt put the cap back on properly after flushing it. This would seem to be more likely since my car ran fine for 4.5 years and suddenly after having the radiator flushed at Accurate I have a problem with the cap. Thats quite a coincidence! 2) $325 doesnt make me feel so lucky. This shop should take some responsibility for their work and AT LEAST cut me a break on the labor. Do yourselves a favor and go down the road to Christian Bros. The name says it all. Youll get a fair shake there.

Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!!! This place is a HUGE joke! I took my car in and had some work done and was CHARGED way more than originally qouted. On top of that I had to bring the car back the very next day because it was still not working and they said they fixed a minor issue THEY had caused for free. The very next day it was not working AGAIN and I took it back in and they didnt even bother to look at it and told me that it would be a HUGE amount to replace some of the same parts that must be defective. I told them NO way and I took it to another shop who had it working in an hour for a couple hundred and said that Acuurates mechanic had failed to put back a simple part that had caused the whole issue. INEPT and IMMORAL!! The owner Cindy is a con artist. I wouldnt go back there if they were the only place left on earth, they completely ripped me off. I dont know if their mechanic was just an idiot or if they purposely tried to milk me, either way dont trust this place!!! By the way, Jim quit, it was not him, he no longer works for them, their loss.

Okay. My mother-in-law gets a flat, Im out of pocket so I call the folks who have been most helpful to me in the past and they inform me that they dont usually offer road side assistance but would be happy to help on this occasion. Not only did they change the tire and placate my distraught MIL but the charge was only Kolaches for the crew. Huh? Lets not forget the time I needed multiple repairs on the same vehicle a year prior to this situation when they suggested that I get parts from a salvage yard to save money. Who else would do this??? Forget going to a bealership (the word "dealership" comes from the latin phrase "Screw the customer"), I mean, why go elsewhere??? Cmon man, the typical stereotype of a repair shop is not good but these guys have raised the bar and continue to do so. Get on the band wagon or suffer the consequences! Dave has spoken.

I have been an Accurate Auto customer for many years and have never had anything but the very best service! Every experience I have had with Accurate oiver the years -ranging from mere oil changes to more extensive repairs has been A+ as far as service and the actual repairs. The owner, Cyndi, is knowledgeable, helpful and very easy to work with. This center caters to women and I feel confident that they will not try to "upsale" me any products or services my car truly needs. If they recommend something I know its because my car needs it- not because theyre tryiong to make more money off of me! I highly recommend Accurate Auto for all of your car repair or servicing needs! Annette, Houston
