I brought my vehicle in Tuesday at 11 AM because my starter went out. They said it would be about 2 hours to fix it. I also let them know I had a very small leak on one of my tires. After 3 1/2 hours I called them to check on the status of my vehicle. They said they did not have the right gasket for my starter and had to contact the chevy dealer for it. They said they should have it in by 5 PM. They also informed me my brake pads needed replacement so i said do that too. By 5 I called and they said they were having troubles getting the starter back on but they should have it assembled by the next morning. I called at 12PM the next day because I was going to take off work early to get my vehicle. They told me they received the wrong gasket from chevy and wouldnt get the right one until 6PM that night. I call the next day around 1PM and they said it would be ready around 3. I show up shortly after 3 and they said its making a weird clicking noise when starting so they want to keep it to disassemble the starter and replace it. I call again the next day to pick it up after work and its ready. I get in my vehicle and the battery assembly in my back seat is disassembled. I drive it into the back to have them fix that. Then i notice the PSI on the tire they "fixed" is at 13 PSI. I figured they must have forgotten to filll it after repairing it. I go back in to have them fill my tire to 38 PSI out of the 40 required. I start driving home and notice a shaking when stopping. After 10 minutes of driving my tire pressure sensor came on as well. By the time I got home I lost 20 PSI and then completely flat shortly there after. I called them and told them I will be returning in the morning. They said my brakes are fine and the noise is a broken motor mount (never made that noise before bringing it in) and I must have picked up a nail on my way home (real convinient right?). They "fixed" my tire again. Now its Saturday. I go to pick my vehicle up and my tires flat again. They said theyre too busy to pull it in to look at it right now. So I said just air it up Im taking it across the street to Discount tire. They aired it to 42 PSI and it was at 38 upon arrival across the street. Discount tire said it was a string plug put in wrong and they get people there all the time from Pep Boys due to faulty work. Needless to say I will NEEEEVER go back nor refer people to Pep Boys. I will actually discourage their shop to everyone I encounter. 2 hour job turned into 6 days and Im almost worse off than I was. After all the money I spent there, they didnt even fix everything in full nor take the time to fix the tire they made worse.

Only giving a star because I have to. Had a problem with an ignition coil on my wifes 2009 Chevy Traverse. One of the young guys that works their hooked his hand held computer to read the error code on the check engine light. cylinder #1 misfire. bought an ignition coil and changed it out myself $60 fix. 6 months later had the same issue with another ignition coil, this time Roy the manager was working the counter. I told him I was having an issue with an igniton coil on the same car and i just need someone to tell me which cylinder is misfiring. Roy proceeds to tell me, that the hand held computer will not tell exactly which cylinder is misfiring & that i would need to have a diagnostic check done that cost $90 & that depending on which coil it is it meaning a coil on the front being the cheapest or coil on the back being more expensive to replace would cost between $100- $400 to replace. Part + labor because if it is a coil on the back of the motor they would have to take the intake manifold off to get too it. know that this was complete BS I went right next door to AUTOZONE and had the error read for FREE & it was cylinder #3 misfiring. GUESS what PEPBOYS cylinder #3 is on the back of the motor, guess what else? I didnt have to take the intake manifold off either to get to it. It took a 10mm socket and 10 minutes to replace. The coil cost me $60. What kind of business are you running PEPBOYS? Bunch of f**king crooks!!!

I will NEVER EVER bring my car to this location again. Nor will i recommend this place. I had my window motors put in. 3 weeks later my passenger side window comes off track. Took it back and they told me they would have it fixed. Came and picked it back up asked what happned and they told me it needed to be adjusted. 2 more weeks go by and the window is off track again. I take it back it is supposedly fixed for the second time. 2 weeks go by and window is off track again. I decided to pull the door panel off myself to see what is going on. They had broken my door and decided to jbweld the bolts for the motor to the door. Everytine I would take my.car back they would throw more jbweld on it. I called and told Roy the manager how un happy i was. He told me they did not put the jbweld on there that it was already there. How can it already be there when the car had never had the door panel off before. Roy refused to make it right. I will contact the BBB here soon and make a report. Do not take your car here for service. I brought this issue to rudys attention whom them talked to roy. Roy then told me not to EVER go above his head. He told me they will not refund my money or make it right. He told me to let him fix it the CORRECT way. I refuse to do so. Why would i let them do this again. Why wasnt it fixed the "CORRECT WAY" the first time

I recently had to have a hose put on my power steering line. It took two hours for the diagnostic to get done. Then after waiting another hour and 15 minutes to wait for the hose to arrive from the dealership (which the charged me $36 more than the hose cost), it took another hour and 15 minutes before the Master Tech put it on. It would have been sooner but he decided to do some tires (although the other 3 techs there could have done them). So it took a total of six hour to get a hose put on my car, and the actual labor was only 63 minutes. While I was waiting another customer came in to check on his car. He had dropped it off 6 days ago, and they never ordered his starter. So now he has to wait another 3 days, and on top of that, they lost his car keys. So be very careful using this shop. The service manager Roy is more interested in complaining to his employees than making sure they do their jobs correctly.
