Have gotten tires from Firestone as long as I can remember (were talking over 25+ years everywhere Ive lived), but this particular location is the worst Ive ever dealt with. Went in with flat on one of the tires I bought from Firestone and had road hazard on last week only to be told that Id have to wait 5 HOURS before they could look at it. Again, Im driving around with a flat and its a tire that I bought from them. I pumped the tire up with an air pump, which held to get me home, and brought it back July 3rd later in the afternoon. I figured if they didnt have five hours left until closing that the wait had to be less, right? LOL! I think I got there between 3 and 3:30. The place was dead on the inside and there werent too many cars in the front parking lot either. .....I rolled out of there a few minutes shy of 7:00 PM!!! So, if you are in a hurry and plan to wait, avoid this place. They dont seem to have the staff or the hearts to help folks that need more urgent service. If you plan to drop a vehicle off and leave it all day, it may work for you. ...but heres something the manager might consider. If someone dropped a vehicle off in the morning and doesnt plan to be back until closing, squeeze in the folks that stop in with emergencies, especially if the tires on their cars were bought there, as youve got the rest of the day to do the drop-offs. Also, consider either getting more staff or more efficient staff. Ive dropped thousands and thousands of dollars at Firestone over the years and that just ended with this recent set of visits. Youve managed to bring a tradition to an end with your horrible service and lack of compassion. P.S. I have since needed two new tires and a flat fixed on my other vehicle and decided to try Discount Tire right down the street on Broadway. They fixed the flat for free and put two new tires on in 20 minutes! I found my new tire place!

Stay out of the Firestone in Tyler, TX at all costs! This Firestone location specifically is one of the worst stores Ive ever been to. I scheduled a pre-buy inspection here well in advance and let them know that the seller will be arriving 30 minutes before me. They said it would take about an hour. First they refuse to acknowledge any appointments to the seller, even though I informed them of each and every detail. After about an hour and a half of waiting in the lobby, after I ask a question I find out that they havent even started on the car yet. When I do walk into the workshop they inform me that the car is too low for their machine to lift up. This was 2 whole hours after arriving on time at our scheduled appointment! At this point I ask if they could simply use a wedge or another lower jack to lift up the car a bit on to the machine. They say no but 20 minutes later they follow that idea and lift up the vehicle successfully. The mechanic spends very little time on the vehicle and says everything is perfect so being suspicious I start inspecting it using my own phones flashlight. I discover an oil leak in the middle of the engine bay, a ruptured CV axle and a couple other problems. The mechanic nonchalantly informs me that they arent big deals. When I ask him further questions such as do you know if it costs a lot to fix this dent or do you know how hard it would be to fix the axle his reply was always Well, Im not a denter or Well, Im not an expert on this cars suspension. Extremely unhelpful and rude. Besides not doing the job of finding potential serious problems that I paid for. In the report there were only mentions of things that I discovered personally, and Im not a mechanic. Some other employees were equally as unhelpful and rude.

BEWARE! This place is VERY shady, especially if you are a female. They charge double for labor compared to everywhere else. Also, I got an inspection and they said my "Ball Joints" needed to be replaced and gave me a quote for over $800!! They also quoted a CV Axel for over $700!! We decided to take it to a dealership and not only were my ball joints PERFECT but Firestone missed the stabilizer bar that needed to be fixed (kind of a big deal), and that my suspension is worn (but didnt have to be replaced right away). Also, remember the over $700 quote on the CV Axel? I paid $260 parts and labor at the dealership. I used to go to always go to a Firestone, but I will NEVER return and I will make sure that I tell everyone how this place really operates.

My son is a college student and a summer camp counselor at Pine Cove in Tyler. We are from Houston. He has a car with 110,000 miles on it, with multiple issues/problem areas. Weve had good luck with Copperfield Firestone, so when the car acted up in Tyler, we told him to take his car to Firestone. They did a very quick diagnosis, fixed what needed to be fixed for about fifty bucks, and stored the car for him for six days (he dropped it off on his day off on Sunday, and picked it up on his next day off the next Saturday). Our experience with Firestone in Tyler was very good.

My father usually uses firestone. I priced my local garage for a simple tire fix and was quoted $10. To my own fault I assumed firestone would be competitively priced. Was charged $20. I asked why so much. to be told "we guarantee the work", "for the patch and plug process its $20." So I paid and went about my day. At the end of the day at work I came out to my tire being flat. Upset I called and they said they could squeeze me in. So I went back only to have the technician come out to tell me that it was only patched and he has patch and plugged it. beware.

Great service! Knowledgeable staff willing to go the extra mile to fix vehicle issues. Brought my 09 GMC Yukon in for a headlight that kept "dimming." Figured it was either a loose connection or bad bulb. These guys found the problem, searched all over Tyler to find a replacement part and when they found one the the parts house didnt have a driver to bring it to Firestone. Firestone sent one of their guys to retrieve the part and bring it back. First class service all the way! Firestone just earned a customer for life!

Made an appointment 3 days ahead for balance and alignment. When drove all the way from Jacksonville to this place they told me that there is no tech on shift to take care of the alignment and I have to reschedule it and no one was even sorry or saying a word of apology!!!! Then whats the point of having an appointment? They could easily call me and let me know but seems like no one there care about customer service! I don recommend this place at all due to the poor level of customer service.
